Soooo I tried this and when I put the recipe on water, it didn't seem to blend in so I waited for 15 mins with no change at all then my sister comes in and notices a weird smell Turns out I was using salt the entire time
I just tried this for the first time and here are a couple tips I discovered for those of you considering it- 1. The sugar wax takes longer than expected to start boiling, foaming, and turning a darker color. I was thinking it would be 3-5 minutes. No. It took 15-20 minutes before it even started to foam for me (on med-high heat). Prepare to stand in your kitchen and stare into this pot for at least 20 minutes while simultaneously panicking that it’s burning and also wondering what you’re doing with your life. 2. If you’re like me and are making it to use right then (rather than storing it and using at a later time), don’t put the sugar wax in a jar or take it out of the pot it cooked in. I made the mistake of putting it in a jar to cool off before kneading and using it, and it was a nightmare to get out of the jar. Just let it cool/mix it in the pot and knead/use it right out of that. 3. I don’t recommend trying this for the first time if you have acrylic nails... especially long acrylics... just imagine sticky wax stuck under/on your nails forever. 4. I also don’t recommend trying this for the first time if you have roommates/other people who use the same household items as you and won’t appreciate EVERYTHING being sticky. I mean EVERYTHING (think pot, utensils, corn starch box, sink, counter, tub, floor, cat). 5. Be 100% prepared ahead of time. Have all utensils and tools ready to use when cooking, and powder, aloe, towels, etc. ready to use when sugaring. Otherwise, prepare for #4 and live the rest of your life with sticky little reminders of the day you had this terrible idea. 🤷🏻♀️
I just tried this out! Here are my thoughts: This is absolutely incredible! I have struggled for so long with body hair removal, especially around the bikini area. Shaving causes me insane ingrown hairs and irritation, while store-bought waxing strips never hold on to my hair or break it off rather than pulling it out at the root, leaving behind a sticky waxy residue that doesn’t come off. I’ve been wanting to try sugaring for a while but was too scared from those past negative hair removal results. Today I finally tried this out and I am SO IMPRESSED. The sugar seriously grabs onto hair and holds on tight. I sugared my whole bikini area and I am SO HAPPY with the results. It did hurt a lot, to be honest, but not worse than any other type of waxing. Any waxy residue comes off easily with water. I also really recommend using some kind of powder to absorb moisture. My skin is definitely red and irritated (this is normal of course) but it’s also really smooth and the pain has subsided. There are a few stray hairs that the wax didn’t grab but those can be easily removed with tweezers. I am just so so happy that I have finally found a method of hair removal that works for me. I’m going to try my underarms and legs once the hair is long enough. Maybe I can finally say goodbye to my razor! Literally cannot thank you enough for this tutorial!!!!
Sucmy toes yes, but I’d be careful. The skin on your face is much more sensitive. I find sugaring to be better on larger areas though. I personally refused to sugar brows because it was just too tedious and I never really got the result I was looking to get.
This worked for me! First try! No wax experience! I followed the recipe exactly. I am normally a razor hair removal person but I was tired of having stubble a day or 2 later. I waxed both of my legs with just this recipe. My hair is thick all over and it worked. MY TIPS!! I used Tea Tree oil to line my small empty container. About 3 or 4 drops. Then rubbed in with a napkin. Be Patient! when cooking mixture, continue to stir until you just see the golden color remove from heat completely. The main thing I did different!! I tried the water on hands and that didn't work for me at all, it was waaay to sticky and stringy. I just put a couple of drops of the Tea Tree oil on my hands and it was SOOO much easier. When it got too hard to manage I microwaved for 5 to 10 seconds, then continued using. I used the baby powder just as she did and showered afterwards. I have a mixture that I use everyday I get out of the shower, it is just BABY LOTION and BABY OIL GEL mixed evenly in a pump bottle. or you can mix it in your hand. Then rub in to skin. THIS WORKED SO WELL!! Thank you soo much. Hope this helps someone!
Citlalli Ramirez well it is waxing so I’m sure it hurts everyone to some degree unless you do it enough times because then you’ll just get used to it. But my advice is to just try it at least once or else you’ll never know how it will feel
Samaira Cook thank you for the tea tree oil tip! Mine was too sticky too and I couldn’t figure out how to fix it! I’m gonna try it tonight!! Thanks again!!!
Rajbir Sadioura The hair would usually become soft/thin after you wax it, that’s what happened to me and my sister. The more you wax, the more your hair becomes thinner and some hair won’t even grow back too.
i've been waxing since i was 12 and i'm 21 now. One thing my grandmas and aunts used to do is after done waxing (immediately after) is that they massage the waxed area with olive oil (make sure it's 100%. the olive oil we use we also make from scratch) . don't go under the sun with it on your skin and don't wear a clothes so the olive oil won't stain them. i prefer to wash it away after 10-15 minutes. it makes the hair grow back less darker/thicker and way slowweerr!!! if you wanna try it then please first try it on a small area to see if you're not gonna have any reaction or something and to make sure it's gonna work for you as well. 💗
@@Magique88888 wayyy less i tried to shave few times before i started waxing not gonna lie my mom wasn’t happy abt that😂 i swear i shaved my legs like 3 times and i was looking like a gorilla, now after i’ve been waxing for a (long) while the hair is visibly less and weaker/not that dark and for some reason i have some bald spots
Stop shaving is the best decision i've ever made .. my skin changed totally after i've start waxing no ingrown on pimples no itching and the dark color started to fade .. yes it hurts but it worth it
Andie H. I am not discriminating the genders mens skin is much harsher than women’s and it grows faster than women’s mens hair has different structure women’s hair is more gentle than mens that’s the reason i have said that and not because of genders
@@itsmisstoler4246 I can understand why people think that girls 'shouldn't' shave, their bodies, but it's their bodies, so if they like to have the prickly feeling of stubble growing back, they should be able to do that. Some girls mightn't feel comfortable with their hair and the razor is the easiest most affordable hair removal. Also, some females have darker, stiffer hair than most women - I feel for them, growing up in these societies that shame women for their natural body hair. I don't like stubble, waxing has been my thing since I discovered it, and now it's sugaring: so much better.
Did you read the comment 🤔 she just said she scared of someone walking in on her making it in the TH-camr to her to grab it and it eat in act like it’s just candy
she said she was scared to use it, so i assumed it was already made. you can make it in the microwave, so it would just look like you’re heating up food.
Idk if you're gonna read this comment, but I just wanted to thank you for this video. You cleared up literally every doubt that anyone could have haha. I have pcos which led to so much extra body hair and your video has been super helpful. Thanks a lot!
For the people like me that is trying to save money from sugar waxes, i do recommend this idea. This is the only video that made me try to do it on my own. It is not that complicated to do just listen to her instructions and watch carefully on how she did it and voila! Thanks a lot girl for the smooth presentation.! 😊
yes, it certainly isn't difficult. I failed the first time (overcooked it and went as hard as a rock), the second time I sorta nailed it, I added lime juice from a lime (it was small), then a quarter of a teacup of water (next time will add half a teacup of water because apparently, it wasn't enough). I think I also overcooked it this time (it tasted burnt). However, I added the rest of the water that was in the teacup (a quarter more) into the yet hot liquid sugar and surprisingly that made it work and started pulling my leg hairs out with it.
I did it. I finally did it. It took me 13 months (I kind you not, don't @ me) thirTEEN LOOONG MONTHS to get the dang wax mixture right. And I finally got it. I might have lost my sanity but needless to say, I'm DAAAANG SMOOTH LADIES.
LOL when I got some waxer strips as a teenager, I got one stuck on my leg that I didn’t have the courage to rip off. My dad came in and I was embarrassed and covered it, and he freaked out cause he thought it was a birth control patch
I’ve had been getting Sugared it for six years professionally. That I’ve been buying it off line with stripes. I been doing it myself for 2 years. I watch many video on how to make it, that just were not the right one. This is the best one so far!
@@abbaabba4132 so basically you cooked it for too long. Try cooking for less time or on a lower heat setting, you can also try the cold water method, she has a video on this.TBH it's a lot of trial and error, but keep trying you'll definitely get it. :)
thank you! this was amazing! I started off with the diy pedicure video and so happy to come across this video. i’m a beginning sugarer and i’ve been struggling with a couple things. this has helped A TON! i’m excited to attempt it again!
omg i bought this wax from etsy the other day because i was struggling to make it! soo good and super easy to use www.etsy.com/HomemadeHalwa/listing/784698086/organic-sugar-wax-8oz?Copy&ListingManager&Share&.lmsm&share_time=1587532718282
I tried this for the first time and it worked wonderfully my skin is smooth, no irritation. My sugar was was made with brown sugar. Wonderful. I'm never shaving again. Thank you so much
Is it cheaper than shaving. I find myself constantly frustrate with the amount of products that are “needed to shave” I hate buying reusable razors and can’t for the life of me figure out how to use a safety razor (it isn’t an investment since I would keep repurchasing metal blades anyways and I had no idea how to properly dispose of blades or when to replace them. Safety razors were just confusing) hate the shaving creams, nair and any other shaving product you can think of. She said the wax isn’t reusable so does that mean each shaving experience is a new ball of wax? But I’m the video she flicks of hair and then re spreads the wax to remove more hair. I’m sooo confused😭😭😭 also how would using this even work for the pubic area?
Depending on where you buy your groceries, yes it can definitely be cheaper. I mean that it’s not reusable in the sense that you can’t remove your hair and then keep the used sugar in a container. once it’s full of hair and dead skin you must discard it, but while your waxing you can use the same ball for an extended period of time (i.e you can wax both armpits or legs and then throw it away). I also have a video on how I do my bikini/brazilian wax at home if you’re interested.
abetweene thank you so much for clearing that up😁 I’ve binged watched most of your whole channel since leaving this comment, including all 10 videos of the waxing/sugaring playlist, and it cleared up all of my questions! I will definitely be trying the microwave method. Also, you genuinely seem like an amazing and creative, human being. Your hair, nails, aesthetic, and video quality are flawless🥰 thank you so much for all that you do and making this information available to us. And thank you for answering my question:) have a great day, Arian! (I think that’s how you spell your name🤷🏾♀️) Edit: just remembered one more question, but it’s really insignificant so I’m pretty much good. I don’t want to buy a whole lemon each time I make a batch. Can I just use the lemon juice that comes pre-prepared in those tiny yellow bottles?
I made this today, so far I've waxed my legs and one underarm. This is AMAZING!! probably the smoothest wax I've ever had and so simple, natural and eco friendly. Thanks so much for this comprehensive video. :)
Here is what i learned: - I didn't cook it enough the first time so it was a goopy mess (COOK IT TILL ITS THE EXACT SAME COLOR AS HER'S) - You have to knead it right as it's hot (it hardens so fast seriously) - If you don't knead it enough its a mess and if you knead it too much it's also a mess (the water melts it) - It's easiest to use when cooler but still warm - TRIPLE the recipe if you plan to use it for both of your ENTIRE LEGS - It takes about 15-20 minutes to golden - It takes like two whole hours to wax both of your legs if you have never done it before
This is the problem for me: "- You have to knead it right as it's hot (it hardens so fast seriously) - If you don't knead it enough its a mess and if you knead it too much it's also a mess (the water melts it) - It's easiest to use when cooler but still warm" I have burned all my fingers trying this, and every time it gets super hard so fast that I could kill someone with it, like a stone (also I could kill someone because I get so pissed at it). Is there any other way to mess with it without using your hands?
@@vita.mariana Cook it sloooow on low-medium and remove when golden, it won't turn solid even when room temperature. I also didn't knead at all. Used with strips when too warm and sticky and a spatula when a bit firmer.
@@Geminie1 I intend to try it again in the future, thank you for the tip. For now I will just do a brazilian on myself with wax bought at the supermarket.. hahaha
I keep coming back. And the results are amazing. The amount of hair that’s grows back is about 50% less and the times it takes to geo back it’s about 2weeks for me. Thank you for the life changing recipe.
Thank you for making this this fit seem so simple and taking the intimidation out of sugaring… I’ve been wanting to try but pre-made kits are so expensive and I was shocked to learn it’s only a couple ingredients that I always have on hand. Will definitely be trying this soon!
BEST.VIDEO.ON.THE.WEB. regarding this subject. Thank you for all the "if this happens" scenarios. I was about to throw mine out because it was too sticky.
Thank you! You have taught me something I can use for the rest of my life. I'm going to share this with my sisters. Being the procrastinator that I am, I found your video while working on an assignment around 11pm. It's now 2am and my legs and arms are hairless. I thought my arms would be easier to do and I was wrong. I was also learning the direction that my hair grows as I was going along. I need to work on my technique, a couple times I let go as I was pulling and the sugar went flying, it landed on the counter, mirror, toilet tank, floor, wall, & tub. The shower curtain was spared this time. Luckily I had more than enough. I saw you have a video on pedicures, but that's another video for another time I feel like procrastinating.
I think she left the wax in the pot to show us that you can wash it out. By the way if you are wondering if this works it does. It is really good and i higly recomend it.
For Fun you might have cooked it for too long. To get it out of the pot I boiled some water in the pot after I put the wax in a seperate container and the wax you can’t get off dissolved.
I tried this today and it worked amazingly well! I struggle a lot with waxing because it always end up being so messy for me, but with the sugaring I had minimal cleaning to do and it gave me the same results. Thank you!
OMG thank you! I just used your method and it worked perfectly! I even gave myself a full brazilian and it was pretty painless... I can't believe how much money I've spent on waxing prior to this when I could have used this method. Also your tips were very clear and helpful. Amazing!
This is a great video! Literally my first time waxing at home I was able to do my whole bikini area successfully. I think my sugar was a little soft so I had to use the wax strips faster than you did, but next time I'll leave the sugar on the heat a tad longer :)
When I tell you I got excited after finding black girl doing it! Black folks shave stuff is blessing, so I'm 100% more confident about the wax working.
a helpful tool that I found when using sugar wax is using an old credit card or plastic card to help wax. it's SOOOOO much easier than using your hands and the wax does get too warm. so instead of using wax strips or popsicle sticks, use a card. you can run it under warm water if it gets too warm after a while
I love about this that in addition to being so effective (brava for the super educational video), everything you have shown is biodegradable and sustainable, which is something we should all be thinking of! Thank you, m'am!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼♥️
Third time's a charm and I finally got it right on the third time! Here's what I did: - followed her measurements to a T -cooked my mixture for 6 minutes on low to medium heat -I also did the cold water test from her second video which helped a lot! - Didn't let it cool for too long. -Washed the spoon I was using after I stirred the sugar initially It's turned out amazingly! I'll get some cornstarch from the store tomorrow and test it out on my legs! Wish me luck 😬 🤞
@@angelamartinez4091 Yes! It worked perfectly. Although I live in an area with a cold climate, I think the next time around I'll make a softer wax but it works perfectly once it's a little warmed up.
Got it on my first try! Thanks for this! For those experiencing problems try to knead it while its still a more loose consistency (it’ll still be pretty hot) to avoid it turning hard on you.
After 2 years of watch sugar waxing videos i finally got the courage to try. U explained everything step by step and very well so i found the courage. I did good. It works well. I will continue to make it for myself
She’s not kidding when she says take it off the burner as soon as it’s golden! I waited a minute too long and then the next batch I took it off too soon. I timed it from boil on medium heat to only five minutes. After that it was great! Did my arms already!
I've tried this and here are my tips 💪🏾❤ DONT USE BOTTLED LEMON JUICE🍋 I made the wax using real lemon juice from actual lemons and it was perfect. I then made a second batch using "lemon juice" from a bottle and it wouldnt harden at all. Stick to the all natural ingredients for consistent results. DONT BE AFRIAD TO REMOVE POT FROM HEAT TO CHECK COLOR AND CONSISTENCY.⏳ this process takes 15 to 25 minutes. Dont rush. If you're unsure of the color, remove pot from heat, wait for the foam to simmer down and observe the color. I do this atleast 5 times while cooking the mixture. Then when I'm feeling good about the color, I do the water test. If my mixture is too runny I simply keep cooking it in 1 minute intervals. DONT GO TOO HOT TOO FAST 🔥 I actually start on medium then when it starts to boil, I go to medium high. It might take longer but it easier for me to manage. And that's all I got lol hope it can help someone out there
I’m really happy with the fact that you can reuse the wax. As in, you use the same wax for each arm/leg!! And the fact that you explained to everyone that cloth strips are reusable!!🧡
Youre fantastic. I was 20 minutes from buying a $70 sugaring product and thought.. nahhh just humor a TH-cam search for recipes.. and here you are with all your glorious knowledge and kind instructions. Virtual high five*
3:20 put some oil on the jar first before pouring in the wax. 4:24 wax applied opposite direction of hair growth then pulled out same direction to lessen ingrown hair probability 5:56 reusable wax strips are great because you can set them in warm water and then they dissolve 6:35 microwave for 10 seconds to be able to take out of container with popsicle stick
So this honestly was the first video that gave me hope that i can do effective hair-removal at home. I have moved on from waxing to sugaring to only epilation now, but I wanted to thank you for a very through tutorial and trouble-shooting. You have made a real difference in my DIY confidence. Keep doing what you are doing! 🙌
So, after years of shaving and plucking, I finally tried waxing yesterday. Apparently, it didn't feel as painful as I imagined! Oh and no longer neck pain yaaay! Thank you so much for your helpful tutorial! ❤❤❤
I’m not a very hairy person and my older sister got after me for ever shaving. Since I did, I did end up shaving once a week. Since starting sugaring I find my hair is like my pre shaving days - fine and light. I really like sugaring. Your tutorial is fantastic.
yess haha however i just bought mine online! www.etsy.com/HomemadeHalwa/listing/784698086/organic-sugar-wax-8oz?Copy&ListingManager&Share&.lmsm&share_time=1587532718282
I tried this recipe now. I did not even need gloves. I cooked to 265 F but it is almost white on color. It worked well though. Thank you. Easier than other recipes.
Omg! i'm the less crafty person that ever existed and i did this out of desperation thinking i would fail miserably and guess what? I didn't! Omg! It was perfect, thank you so very much! Another subscriber 😘
Thank you so much! After binging your sugaring videos for a few days, I made it today at 2 in the morning 😂 using half the ingredients, as someone posted the exact amounts in the comments and that was super helpful, using the small amount on the spoon I used for testing it, I successfully waxed some patches on my right leg and went to sleep. I just finished my legs a few hours ago and I'm loving it! Since I don't have a microwave and it's hot and humid here, I intentionally made hard wax and put it in the sun for a few minutes and it worked like a charm. Sending you love and hugs from Morocco, North Africa ❤
I literally just got done making this for the second time and it turned out perfect the second time around. I gave up after the first time because it didn't work. That was a few months ago and now I know how to make it perfectly. Thank you! 😁
I DID IT! Finally. The part I was having trouble with was the transfer from pot to hand. So I got a bowl and ran hot water on it to warm it. I then dried it and scooped the melt into it, and scraped it into a ball in the bowl, which I then picked up and rolled around in my hands.
Guys! This recipe has worked for me countless times by now and I have an important tip to share if you still can’t get it right. Contrary to what the videos says, don’t stir the sugar mixture after it comes to a boil. That’s what finally made it work for me. Hope this helps!
You should stay by it while it is boiling. As she says in the video, wait for it to change into a caramel color and take it off the heat. It’s better for it to be a lighter color if you aren’t sure if it’s done yet. Let it rest off the heat for about 10-15 minutes and see if it starts to thicken. If it doesn’t, put it back on the stove and boil it for a minute or two, but watch it carefully and remove it off the heat fast, otherwise it can overcook. Repeat this process until you see that the mixture begins to thicken slowly once you remove it from the heat. I should also note that I don’t knead the mixture. I just store it into a glass jar after it has thickened a little and let it cool completely. When it is completely cool, the wax mixture shouldn’t be rock hard. If you need to soften it, microwave the mixture for ten seconds and then you can scoop some out and use it wherever you need to. I know it sounds like a lot, and it sounds harder than it actually is, but trust me and it should work. Good luck!
@@urjamotwani8740 wow thank you for your reply, I'm planning on doing this once I have some more time soon. How long does it take? And btw I don't have a microwave but that shouldn't be a problem. Sorry for being boring and thanks again
I’d say that the total cooking time takes around 7-10 minutes, but it could be different for everyone because of how hot their stoves are. When cooking the mixture, put it at a medium high heat so it doesn’t overcook too quickly. After the mixture completes cooking, let it come to room temperature, and that can take a few hours. If you have anymore questions, I’d be happy to try and help you!
Am I the only one who noticed she used the left over wax in the pan to show you the color changes of the wax so you know why it changes and that it's normal? Lol keep seeing the comments about it being left but never mentioned she came back to it to show you how it changes during use . It wasn't unintentionally left in the pot guys lol
This is how all of women in my country wax their bodies. Anyways.. when u find it hard. Add some drops of water and then blend(mix) it together using ur hands. It works perfectly :)
This stuck to my pits and pans, but I don’t blaim her it was my fault lol!!! If it does harden onto your pots or pans, let it cool off and then fill up your pot and/or pan to where the hardened sugar is, and then put it on the stove, on low, and after like around 30 seconds it should start to peel off! Comment if you have any questions!
How come I never knew this before ? Like literally spend a fortune on waxing. Tried this and got perfect results. Thank you so much for the recipe and dhe tips. God bless you
Thank you!! As someone with really sensitive and fragile skin (connective tissue disorder,) I cannot shave. I end up with infected ingrowns and have strawberry legs. I tried this and am amazed. It’s only been a few days, but so far I’ve not had irritation nearly as bad as shaving caused me. I have high hopes!!
Ive made this a few times now and it is amazing! I’ve found that cleanup is a lot easier if you pour it onto a silicone liner or something like that to knead :)

I just tried this for the first time and here are a couple tips I discovered for those of you considering it-

Hair growth soft or thick after this wax?
Rajbir Sadioura The hair would usually become soft/thin after you wax it, that’s what happened to me and my sister. The more you wax, the more your hair becomes thinner and some hair won’t even grow back too.
@@bellazammit1814 thanks for your advice 😊
Isaac Zammit so indian thick hair would turn thinner and softer???
Thanks so much, I’m eager to try it now!
i've been waxing since i was 12 and i'm 21 now. 💗
i was just wondering if i could use only olive oil as after care and i came across this comment, i'll be sure to try it out!
@@hibah4791 just make sure to try it on a small area first the first time to make sure your skin will love it!

i can NOT get this damn wax to stick to me. even with corn starch or powder 😩
Stop shaving is the best decision i've ever made .. my skin changed totally after i've start waxing no ingrown on pimples no itching and the dark color started to fade .. yes it hurts but it worth it
I was very shocked when i heard that girls shave hands and even face just wtf we are not men🤣🤣
@@itsmisstoler4246 Doesn't matter the gender. Hair is hair, and the body is covered in hair.
to each their own

Hahahaha. “Smooth” I see what you did there
Mine just don’t turn out like that. Don’t even get the same color.
I did it. I finally did it. It took me 13 months (I kind you not, don't @ me) thirTEEN LOOONG MONTHS to get the dang wax mixture right. And I finally got it. I might have lost my sanity but needless to say, I'm DAAAANG SMOOTH LADIES.

I couldn't agree more to that. Thank you. ❤
I agree, this is the first actually useful sugaring video I've found. Thank you ❤️
V ismyname that's exactly what I was going to say. Out of any video or article I've ever seen/read.
camryn smith my first batch didn't work either, but it was cool because I just ate it🤷♀️. I'm gonna try again though.
And thank you for answering my question:) have a great day, Arian! (I think that’s how you spell your name🤷🏾♀️)
Edit: just remembered one more question, but it’s really insignificant so I’m pretty much good. I don’t want to buy a whole lemon each time I make a batch. Can I just use the lemon juice that comes pre-prepared in those tiny yellow bottles?
Aww thank you. I love sharing so it’s my pleasure plus making videos are really fun 😊 yes, you can absolutely use bottled lemon or lime juice 👍🏽

Freya Potticary yess
yeah and then she said you don't want to waste a single drop afterwards lol
Freya Potticary ME
Oh yeah
this is the only video i ever found helpful on this topic and the only recipe that works for me
Here is what i learned:
- I didn't cook it enough the first time so it was a goopy mess (COOK IT TILL ITS THE EXACT SAME COLOR AS HER'S)
- You have to knead it right as it's hot (it hardens so fast seriously)
- If you don't knead it enough its a mess and if you knead it too much it's also a mess (the water melts it)
- It's easiest to use when cooler but still warm
- TRIPLE the recipe if you plan to use it for both of your ENTIRE LEGS
- It takes about 15-20 minutes to golden
- It takes like two whole hours to wax both of your legs if you have never done it before
This is the problem for me:
"- You have to knead it right as it's hot (it hardens so fast seriously)
- If you don't knead it enough its a mess and if you knead it too much it's also a mess (the water melts it)
- It's easiest to use when cooler but still warm"
I have burned all my fingers trying this, and every time it gets super hard so fast that I could kill someone with it, like a stone (also I could kill someone because I get so pissed at it). Is there any other way to mess with it without using your hands?
kneading is optional. check the description box for an easier step by step tutorial with no kneading and no touching hot sugar.
For now I will just do a brazilian on myself with wax bought at the supermarket.. hahaha

a helpful tool that I found when using sugar wax is using an old credit card or plastic card to help wax. it's SOOOOO much easier than using your hands and the wax does get too warm. so instead of using wax strips or popsicle sticks, use a card. you can run it under warm water if it gets too warm after a while

Shay 😂😂 I was doing that too
Samee!!!
You can't remove it when is dries
She added water to get it out
THE POT IS SO CUTE WTH!!
The key words that helped me be successful were to keep it moving and to keep it on medium high and then once it starts to golden take it off the fire
I've tried this and here are my tips 💪🏾❤
DONT USE BOTTLED LEMON JUICE🍋 I made the wax using real lemon juice from actual lemons and it was perfect. I then made a second batch using "lemon juice" from a bottle and it wouldnt harden at all. Stick to the all natural ingredients for consistent results.
DONT BE AFRIAD TO REMOVE POT FROM HEAT TO CHECK COLOR AND CONSISTENCY.⏳
this process takes 15 to 25 minutes.
DONT GO TOO HOT TOO FAST 🔥
I actually start on medium then when it starts to boil, I go to medium high. It might take longer but it easier for me to manage.
And that's all I got lol hope it can help someone out there
I just used lemon juice .😡😡. It's not sticking sissss. Wish I would have seen your comment before my error 😲

glad you saved that bag! $70 is a grip 😬
3:20 put some oil on the jar first before pouring in the wax.
4:24 wax applied opposite direction of hair growth then pulled out same direction to lessen ingrown hair probability
5:56 reusable wax strips are great because you can set them in warm water and then they dissolve

This video saved me a lot of money. After watching this i immediately made a paste and successfully sugared my face! Thanks :)
thats great!
Can you use this on your legs?
absolutely
This is making me wanna try rn or later
its overcooked. you can check out my foolproof sugar video for more detailed cooking, but ill also be uploading an update to hopefully help out.
I literally just got done making this for the second time and it turned out perfect the second time around. I gave up after the first time because it didn't work. That was a few months ago and now I know how to make it perfectly. Thank you! 😁
0:12 who’s here in 2024?
Meeeee
Me hahha. Isn’t she brilliant
I DID IT!
So just to let it cool down and take out?
@@urjamotwani8740 Thank you, you're so nice ❤
Am I the only one who noticed she used the left over wax in the pan to show you the color changes of the wax so you know why it changes and that it's normal? Lol keep seeing the comments about it being left but never mentioned she came back to it to show you how it changes during use . It wasn't unintentionally left in the pot guys lol
I kinda wanna eat it idk why
Honestly I put some aside for me to eat.
Lol
this is a judgement free zone, do you boo.♥️
You are prolly hungry
Fat ass
ikr it tastes sooo good
I tried this and it looked like the same colour as yours, but I must have cooked it too long as it was definitely too hard. Delicious though
You're not suppose to eat it
@@mylifeasriya6188 it's just candy. you can eat it
This is how all of women in my country wax their bodies. Anyways.. when u find it hard. Add some drops of water and then blend(mix) it together using ur hands. It works perfectly :)
Same... harden almost right away. Not to mention burning my fingers trying to kneed it 😂
@@fdrj8281 when can I add water I kneaded mine and it won’t stick at all do I need to make a new batch?
I would totally eat the mixture and remain hairy 😂😂😂
Omg mood
Same here boo, same here
Candy is made by this process.

If somebody's old cat-pussy hair was on it u wouldn't eat it ewww Nasty Lol!!👎🏻🤭
@@antoinettegilbert9258 she means instead of using it she would eat it
This stuck to my pits and pans, but I don’t blaim her it was my fault lol!!! If it does harden onto your pots or pans, let it cool off and then fill up your pot and/or pan to where the hardened sugar is, and then put it on the stove, on low, and after like around 30 seconds it should start to peel off! Comment if you have any questions!
urg! I do this for a living and you're gonna put me out of business! Great Video!
Brenda Shea do you have to use lemon ?
Oops..!
Don't worry. There will always be people too lazy to do it at home and they would rather pay someone else to do it.
@@justsomerabia8480 I am people
How come I never knew this before ? Like literally spend a fortune on waxing. Tried this and got perfect results. Thank you so much for the recipe and dhe tips. God bless you
youre welcome!
