After prayer this morning I began to sing this song as a praise to Father God. Realizing that it was considered secular I started searching for a Christian rendition because I was convinced that it was a song dedicated to God, who out of love for all, gave His Son for our redemption (John 3:16). This love from Father God continues to lift those that believe with grace and mercies that are new every morning. I remain ever grateful and will always sing this song to thank God for His love that keeps lifting me higher. Thank you for posting. No need to look for an alternative rendition because you're absolutely right . . . the lyrics in this song can be interpreted to be about God;s love, just as easily as they can be taken as a celebration of this love we all share with each other . . . holding each other up with a love so strong that it gives us the courage and the strength to believe we are deserving of it, each and every one of us. God is love after all, so it all streams from the same source which leads me to think this rendition is actually a song of joy to be enjoyed, sung and danced to by everyone who believe's in love's power to lift us up out of our disappointments and keep our heads to the sky.
