if water is still working, can you plumb appliances to working water? i found some appliances (unplumbed) in the middle of nowhere, and i'm not sure how to plumb them, i don't have enough carpentry to build more levels yet
@@The-Backlog Thank you, I just had a funny experience with a washer and the expanded helicopters mod, yesterday, I stated a load, then a jet went over head, then two drops, and two more jets, those where the first fly overs I experienced with the mod, then nothing for days, then a news copter during a storm that then crashed and it's been two weeks and nothing still. And those first five flyovers were on the 9th day.
Do you know if they updated it for the plumbing on the washing machine? When I try to plumb it, it doesn't work it still gives me the option to plumb it and even when water is in the barrel it doesn't let me turn it on.
There is a workaround, if someone is looking for help. Just attemp to plumb it and go away, quite a bit far away, so that the game deloads the zone. When you come back, the washing machine will stop showing the plumb option and work properly.
There is one point to laundry I want to know. Soap vs Cleaning Liquid. I for the life of me cannot find out why one would even make cleaning liquid. It takes 10 units of soap and 10 units of water to make a bottle of cleaning liquid but...what's the point to doing that? Does it stretch the soap out longer meaning more washes with the cleaning liquid?
@@The-Backlog Yeah just have to have the soap and the amount of water nearby. No bottle required. One bar of soap can make two bottles of cleaning liquid. With a dramatic increase in weight though. So I am just trying to figure out if it's actually worth doing and I am too lazy to debug it lol. One would imagine that since you can make two bottles of liquid per one soap that doing so gives you more units of cleaning stuff to use. Sadly the wiki is inconclusive.
@@The-Backlog Maybe? I don't remember getting a mod that does that. I'll go look through them and see if one of the other mods like Hydrocraft adds that function.
@@The-Backlog I was unable to find any mod that states it adds the function. Trying to look at the Hydrocraft mod but between the wiki for that not working and the mod itself not stating much without joining the Discord I cannot say. I would just go out on a limb and say that its Hydrocraft that adds it. None of my other mods deal with cleaning except one that changes the amount of water used when cleaning clothes.
I'm pretty sure you don't need it at all, unless you are cleaning your clothes by hand. Then just having it in your main inventory is enough to use it, to clean faster.
@@The-Backlog But is there no option to add to washing machine ? Then it pissed me off and i put the bottle inside the washing machine inventory where the clothes went xD
@@HLLTAF It's exactly the same as the dryer. Just throw your clothes in and turn it on. As long as it's plumbed (Or the water hasn't turned off yet) it'll wash the clothes.
Yeah, but that's not really how modern washing machines are made to work. The sensors would not allow it to finish the cycle if it wasn't in charge of the water.
@@steveweast475 Yup, and as I just got rid of my 90's washing machine recently... Let me just remind you that "90's" is still modern when it comes to most appliances. We haven't REALLY changed how they work, just moved the buttons around and made the electronics smaller... and less durable.
Direct to the point, nice!
That's what we do here! I get a lot of comments asking where the 5 minutes of shoutouts, useless banter and logo animations are.

Thank you for a quick to the point video, but I have one question,
how many tiles away can washers and dryers attract Zombies?
I do not know exactly off the top of my head, but they are loud. Make sure you are safe before aggroing the block, I mean starting a load.

This video is not even in the PZ playlist you have exclusively for mods
But this isn't a mod?
how do you use the combined washer/dryer
Should be the same as the washer or dryer. But you chuck dirty clothes in and get clean and dry clothes back.
@@The-Backlog figured out when you right click it lets you toggle washer/dryer

Yo, how do I use the powered washing machine to wash clothes?
Here, I found a good guide that answers that question. th-cam.com/video/zzjZlccnnto/w-d-xo.html
