We loved this video - very practical. For Australian-based bakers: We made Baby Yoda for a 6yo birthday party and used RecipeTin’s chocolate cake and buttercream recipes from her ‘Dinners’ cookbook - both turned out delicious! We needed to crumb the cakes with a half serve of the buttercream. We used: Queen ready to roll fondant icing (white) Queen gel colours for the black, grey and pink Pandan extract for the Yoda green Colour mill oil colour (Clay) for the brown.
I love this soooo much -I want to make it but can't find the perfect template to use for the ears and such. Can you share where you found it or how you made it please? thanks so so much :)
My daughters and I have watched this a dozen times. It's amazing! I might just have to try it for a birthday! They want to know if you've tried a Mandalorian cake (or just the helmet). Thanks for the fun videos!!
@@teresaroop6509 I have not received the template, but I also noticed there have been no videos posted on this channel since 9 months ago. hopefully all is ok and just busy!
Hi Robyn!! I love this cake and I’m making it for my husband’s birthday 🥳 Do you have your baby grogu template posted somewhere? Thank you for all your awesome cake tutorials!
Hi there! I don't have a stencil per say but I have an image I can share with you, send me an email to Therobynsnest@hotmail.com and I will forward it to you
Hi Robyn, this cake is brilliant! Will be attempting it next week and have emailed you to ask for the template. Do you think I could just use a big mound of fondant for Grogu instead of moulding him around krispie squares, or would he be too heavy? Thanks
Send me an email to Therobynsnest@hotmail.com and I will send it to you☺️ also I use premade fondant by Wilton. I usually buy it at Walmart but you can also find it on Amazon
What you put on the out side of the cake is that the same as butter cream you put in between the layers if cake as when I put butter cream on outside cake it's to sloppy and won't hold any fondant???
If your buttercream is sloppy and won't hold fondant, your recipe isn't thick enough, it needs more sugar or your not using a crusting buttercream. Try my easy buttercream recipe, here's the link! th-cam.com/video/kA5crjQ_yI4/w-d-xo.html

Wow! Beautiful. Subbed.
Thank you! I'm happy you enjoyed the video🥰
Do you have a template available for Grogu?
Lemme have a look to see what I can find. Send me an email to therobynsnest@hotmail.com and I will send you the image I used.
Did you use anything to harden the ears I’m making a baby yoda cake this week for a friend I’m a novice baker and am worried they will drop
I would add a small amount of tylose powder (aka gum Tex, aka cmc powder)
It adds elasticity to the fondant so it will dry faster and firmer for you.
@@TheRobynsNest thank you :)
@@emmapeszel2904 you’re most welcome 🥰
