came back to this because… sometimes battle of the nights are what really stands the test of time and makes core memories at events… its what some people remember best….. even for myself, being part of the battle of the night sometimes means more to me than the W… so coming back to watch these two was a delight…

Both were amazing. Every dancer at this comp was top notch! So good.
This honestly should've been one more round or a win for Luciano. I've watched both of these guys battle as young teens so I love them both equally. That being said, we needed one more
I disagree. While technically Luciano was really great,
Rubix, like some of Les Twins's Laurent dancing, was
beyond the confine of usual dancing with the beat.
Hard to explain but theres creativity, uniqueness and beyond
the usual confined of dancing to that music.
@@memm7846 I'm a big Rubix fan, watch most of his battles and he destroys most of them but this is one of the few videos that I have saved in my favourites where I feel he clearly lost. He had the great end to the first round, but his usual unique musicality and flow was missing. Whereas Luciano I've never watched outside this video, and he killed the beat. I think Rubix won because he hyped the crowd in the first round, but overall dance consistency Luciano won for me.
Crazy watching this back in comparison to SDF 2023, obviously just coming off covid in 2021, but I like how the dance floor is more open and it isn't overly crowded making it near impossible to see from various angles (that's how it was this year).
Needed an extra round to me, but I get why it went to Rubix. He poured on the extra flames for the first round, and the second round was close enough to edge him over.

Honestly both dudes had two great rounds but I'd give Rubix round 1 & Luciano round 2. Shame there wasn't a third one.
No Joke! Im a big Fan of Rubix but Luciano did it. He deserve the win by far.
Luciano was quite impressive. I love his consistent flow, originality, and musicality. The guy's got mad skills. Both did a great job, but Luci was consistently smooth & innovative. And I am a huge Rubix fan, lol!

Yeah Luciano won this, Alex judged rubix in a battle earlier in the year where he killed it, maybe that made him a bit biased. Rubix is amazing but he wasn't in the zone for this event imo

Okay, fair, but this wasn't even close. As far musicality goes Rubix is up there with Waydi and Les Twins. First round is debatable but second was a landslide in favor of Rubix.

@2:24 that's exactly what I was thinking when Rubix gestured "listen to the music". I felt Luciano MISSED THE TRICK, by not really making his moves really FIT with the first track, his round was great, but he wasn't ON that beat, the musicality accents etc. Luciano's round 2 WAS MUCH better, his musicality was on point!!!

Luciano and Rubix has competed together and against each other in the past. I'd like to think they are both pretty good with each other. In this exchange, I think Rubix got the 1st and Lil Blade got the 2nd....but I can understand why Alex gave Rubix the 2nd though! 1. Looking at the 2nd in isolation, Rubix played a bit more musically and also showed patience in allowing himself to play a bit into the emotion of the song instead of hitting move after move.

I've rewatch this so many times and this was pretty close. For me, 1st round goes to Rubix and 2nd to Luciano, although rubix with his musicality on 2nd round Luciano with his ground moves and creativity across the beat was totally outstanding.
what surprise me is that Alex as we all know is a phenomenal dancer for like his basic and fundamental, him straight up vote for Rubix is pretty surprising watching Luciano performance. Both Dancer killed it, no hate, Just my personal analysis.

What is last track ?
Rubix was biting luciano’s concept and flow in the first round. Even the footworks and the ending moves were quite similar. Not sure if they’re leaning towards the same style, but Rubix wouldn’t have danced that way if he didn’t come next to Luciano’s round. This battle was dope tho, needed one more round, but Luciano won for me.
Luciano should have won this tbh, or at least an extra round.
The footwork was Chicago style, he wasn't biting his footwork, just executing said style better than Luciano did

Wow, I just realized something.
For the first song, they both have the same concept or structure for their round. Luciano starts off, KILLS it, then ends his round with dancing feminine.
Rubix, after being „provoked“ at 1:12, had to show it to him. So he kills it TOO and ends his round with dancing feminine.
In the second round they both start dancing from the corner. Luciano comes in straight dancing and Rubix starts off in the corner too.
I could say so much about this battle, after watching it so, so many times but I thought I had to comment this.

That second Luciano round he copied about 3 of Rubix’s signature moves mocking him…it didn’t work out for him as you can see. They both are Incredible dancers!! Luciano is Awesome, but Rubix is Amazing!!! and still ascending!

Rubix first round was CRAZYYYYYY
What I see here is Luciano brought technique to the battle while Rubrix brought both that and raw energy hence he won. It's a personal battle. Seems Luciano was tryna to tell Rubrix that he is now better and Rubrix response seems to suggest that he is not so convinced about Luciano's claim. It's a thing with great dancers when they battle...Respect to both dancers all the same.

Luciano has great skill, he just has a hard time translating that skill into moments. So it all just looks like it’s one pace. Rubix knows how to draw in the crowd through a fluctuation of emotions.

Como dije en un video anterior, no se puede saber quien gano esta batalla, era necesario un extra round .
Rubix y Luciano tienen un estilo muy diferente y cada quien en lo suyo la rompió en ambas rondas, ellos son amigos y la pasaron bien eso es suficiente, no separen a los fans.
Nosotros ganamos una batalla que pudo ser la final en 8vos hay que quedarnos con eso!.
Minuto 5:26 ambos juegan con la musica y todos se dieron cuenta.
Creo que si fue muy completa la batalla pero si se la lleva Rubix.
Desde el principio de la batalla hay partes en donde a Luciano no le pega exactamente a la musicalidad, algo que Rubix desde siempre es.
