I love raw skateboarding like this. Makes me wanna get out on my board. Loving all the freestyle skating, that stuff is so tricky and you're making it look very smooth. 👍
Another great video! My first watch helped me think about how to do certain tricks. My second watch was all about ASMR. The sound of a skateboard on asphalt...pure bliss 😊
there's a bunch of time spent making it look like you're having an easy time at a thing, keep on at it. also, a skate video without music is so nice to listen to, thanks for your efforts.
wow, how much I love your videos. You've gotten so much better in the last few months and you can really see how much more comfortable you feel on the board. The fact that you leave the troubleshooting in the video makes the whole thing so much more worth watching. You've immediately motivated me to make use of the spring sun and go out on the board. Keep up the good work. Wonderful work
I agree. It makes us realize how imperfect our sessions are and how much work it truly takes to land a line or trick. You can feel the satisfaction after each land and we all can relate to that feeling
aw, thank you Daniel! I've definitely felt another level of comfort recently, though it doesn't necessarily mean way more lands haha but I feel it, and it's exciting! Thank you so much for all the support. Looking forward to seeing you get better and better this spring too!
I love your honesty and openness, Sarah, but the X-foot Fingerflip-180 Tailstop was built and beautifully made! It's cool to see all the attempts, behind the scenes))
Raw footage. Certainly raw feet. I tried some Casper, finger flippy, strawberry milkshake type stuff. But I'm juiced( your terminology) on getting my roll out back 2 days ago. I didn't make 5 in a row today. It's unfulfilling if I don't pump the bowl and pipe every day possible. I need to drop in on the 4 footer. But pumping the bowl and pipe harder and deeper everyday seems to work.
Hell yeah! That's awesome 💪 Transition is quite obviously a weakness for me, but that's super cool. I think roll outs and even fly outs are particularly impressive. Glad you got them back. Keep shredding!
@@SarahParkMatott there's nothing wrong with your transition. You're dropping in on a ramp I'm scared of dropping in every day. That's fear thought; preventing me from dropping in a ramp I'm rolling out of. You're scared of obstacles. But speed is the real problem. Back to basics. Wax up the curb in the background. I'll wax up the curb outside. Rock over it, nose slide it. But you will have to grind it smooth to slide better. Speed is the real problem. My nose slide sucks because I'm not going fast enough yet.
@@SarahParkMatottthe speed is pertinent. Maybe we should go to skater's anonymous. We are currently skate junkies on a bender. I think the video makes it worse. Learn mistakes faster. It's snowing outside, not sticking yet. I'm going to go roll out try real fast. Be honest about your skate habit addiction. Over to the structure evidence.
I'm so lucky to have a mostly empty bowl a few blocks away. Learning to carve the bowl requires speed. The roll out has become structure; daily speed practice. Or a skategasm. I'm missing shin skin now; but it was still progressing. I was too comfortable in the half pipe pumping. Bonked my wheels hard on the coping, scared myself and bailed. I should have been looking to rock to fakie that. Not aggressive enough perhaps. But I did a better nose slide today. Nothing wrong with a skategasm. Obstacles are just skategasm toys. Try a bowl carve skategasm for the speed. My front side carve is still in the gutter. But it's getting better
It’s interesting hearing just the ambient noise with no talking or music. Quite different from my spot which is near the junction of two interstates which is currently being expanded 🚧
yeah...I think this might be my favorite video so far this year. The road was really quiet--and it isn't always. Just birds and a little breeze haha I bet that is a loud spot though...oft...interstates and construction. Hope it's finished soon!
nice. i'm not sure what you call them, but i like to nose pivot into a fakie pivot. so you're doing a 360 pivot but alternating trucks, i hope i'm explaining this well enough. i like to do them fs and bs, but i prefer bs
i've been thinking about getting/having a freestyle board/setup, but i already have too many boards/setups. i already have a 7.75 almost deck that probably would be decent for freestyle/hybrid. i like that freestyle boards are flat/mellow, but i'd want a bigger one at 6'3. i hear mini logo blanks are super flat/mellow, but bigger and normal board shapes, and they're super cheap.
Ah, I wish I as more helpful here. Waltz does have a 7.75 Yuta and 8" Bixby sometimes...but you're right. They're often quite small. I've never skated a mini logo deck...
@@SarahParkMatott I’m going to learn them… when they don’t terrify me. It’s the part where you have to land back in rail. Generally landing in rail means I slam hard. I think it’s the hardest thing to get used to coming from a street background. Landing on the trucks is right up there too though. Watching thrown truck tricks still looks like slight of hand to me.
I really liked that that frontside switchblade to rail @1:00

ah happy to hear that! I really enjoyed making this video. If I can keep diversifying the tricks, I'll definitely make these more often.😃
This was so soothing. I love the sound of skateboarding
a bit of freestyle and morning birds asmr, yeah? 😂 I'll have to link a playlist one day in the description

🎉🎉🎉 big thanks to you and Mike Osterman I finally receive my freestyle board. Super excited.😮😮😮❤❤ at this point all about practice and perfecting😊😊😊
ahh that's awesome! Welcome to the freestyle club 🎉 hope it's fun!

haha thank you Alexey! That finger flip was new and fun little battle 😃 stoked you enjoyed the behind the scenes!
Awesome bag of tricks!

Great work! I love the videos. The obstacles are cool, but I prefer the freestyle.
Love it.

Pure skills!
1:50 laces of death 😀That caused me a broken hand a few years ago 😀
yeah...I found a new way to knot them, will definitely be doing that 🙌 hope the hand came back as good as new!

My most common alternating pivots are monsterwalks, endovers and smoothies. Maybe one of these? 😃

Nice work Sarah😊
thank you! 🙏
1:05 was smooooth
3:55 is wild. You should try and intentionally do that one footed! Looks sick.
haha sometimes the board gets stuck on my opposite knee and that happens 😂 Haven't done it intentionally yet
Nice! You seem to have rollos down. Those scare me. Rail flip tricks are scary. The best I can do are varial rail flips and they are NOT consistent.
yeah, I've definitely gotten those more consistent recently! I've just been doing them over and over and over 😂
