sir as you explained that the diagonals bisect so we considered it a parallelogram, but the diagonals of a square bisect too so why didn't we assumed it to be a square

Every Square is a parallelogram, because diagonals bisect, but it is not neccesary that every parallelogram is square because parsllelogram may be having unequal sides, to be square all sides are equal
