Brings back memories. I lived in Stratford from when I was 3 to 9 years old. My Dad would take me to the Station every once in a while and we would watch for trains, or ride the Metro North to New Haven and back. Now living in south Texas, we have all the freight trains they don't have up north, but it gets pretty boring, and the only passenger service is the Amtrak Sunset Limited and Texas Eagle. I like Texas, and prefer it over CT, but I miss that place. Thanks for posting. :)
This is common for a lot of passenger railroads here in the USA, and Metro North has expanding the amount of cars on each train--this station can hold 10 car trains---however there are a few trainsets out there that have 12 cars---the conductor will advise to passengers if they need to walk forward to exit
I agree, saw a 4-car / 2 M2 pair train a couple of weeks ago passing through Mamaroneck - a GCT - Harrison local that turned around at PIKE and deadheaded back to GCT. Judging by the clearly defined window sections on the second pair, something I've seen more with the M4s, I don't know how crazy it would be to guess that might be a M4 pair, no dummy. That does happen, caught that several times over the last couple of weeks.
When I lived there, there were a lot of GP38s and P42s with New Haven livery's (as of 2005), and even a pair of F9s with old Metro North paint schemes based at Bridgeport that ran the Danbury train. But I never saw a livery like the one at 1:00. Have they been re painted? Also, what train is that at 1:00? The Waterbury train?
I love rail fan videos Although i'm curios Why do they even bother making the sets that big so as they cannot fit on a platform and leave 2-3 cars hanging off the edge, it seems kind of dangerous. Then again i am from Australia so this is all very much different to our networks
What are those things on the catenary wire between the catenary poles? how are they held up if they look like they are just suspended on the wire itself.

Nice vid! I take the #170 pretty frequently out of Bridgeport
Congrats on your 700th video. This was definitely a surprise. I didn't know you were going to Stratford too.
There are actually about a dozen of them sitting in the New haven Yard right now still in MN paint, and yes it is a waturbury train at 1 min
Congrats on 700! Hopefully I'll get there sometime! 5*****! Great footage!

So many trains! Could use up a whole memory chip in 1 day if the battery did not die out first?? LOL
I'm pretty surprised that no one has commented on that NY Giants logo on your train video so far.
@Batboymeister that is a BL20GH not a GP40
Congratulations on 700 videos! I am looking forward to 800 lol

Hasn't anyone notice the New York Giants logo in front of the GP40 Metro-North train (on 6:52) going to Waterbury?
Batboymeister: they are the BL20's not GP38's
