Hi I love your photos of the Steve bras that you catch I also catch steenbras and i would please like to know all of the fishing spot and the lagoon that you pump for prawns I also pump there because the fishing shop I go to tolled me to go there thankyou
Thanks, man, much appreciated! Welcome to the channel! Glad you were able to follow the rig presentation although it was done all natural in my peaceful zone😁 Thanks for watching Crazy For Fishing SA 🎣🎣🤙🏻
🎣 Hi Johan, - I wondered about the rope you tie onto your sinkers. I found what cud be same in a shop, - Alnet utility cord, 3mm diameter, in 10M folded amount. I tied a few, various ways onto some sinkers, will do more. I also have some thin Alnet twisted nylon, just less than 1mm, of which I tied some on too, Very strong line. I'm trying various lines, how I learn more too, 🙂 🎣
Awesome rig presentation and knots. Great fight...Man i could feel your pain wanting to strech that fish to 60 !! Bliksim!! your a fishing guru sir...Thanks
🎣 when I finish pumping prawns (etc) I suck up cleaner water to clean inside bottom of tube. Later I suck up freshwater to clean inside. That is my method, works for me, simple as that,! I don't submerge my pump in saltwater as you showed as saltwater with sand and mud will get inside the tube. Sand/mud inside from below and inside tube from top will help to grind edge of washer system which over time will lessen the suction power. That is not what I want, 🎣
Hi Michael, Yes, I would most definitely suggest doing that, especially with a steel pump. Although these pumps are built for pumping in salt water. I usually do rinse mine off at home under the tap to get most of the sand out. I must admit I have not done it every time and this plastic pump I have had for about 4 years and it's still pumping, only issue I have ever had was the handle coming loose or breaking but that was nothing to do with not rinsing off, just wear and tear of the handle itself. Still pumping like always, and I manage to get the bait I need. 😉🎣🎣
Best way to catch a large steenbras!? Put on a small 1/0 hook, loaded with very rotten red-bait. Try for galjoen - and all to often you wil get a surprise. Two weeks ago - 75 cm & 62 cm. Kind regards.
@StephenStigling A steenbras is mostly sandy areas, Galjoen like kelp areas, kabeljou also usually sandy areas. First try with a 1/0 circle hoek to see what species are available, then you can change to bigger hoeks if bites. Best bait this side, my opinion, is prawn and white mussel. Not everyday is a great fishing day and fish move around, but if they are there you will know. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching Crazy For Fishing SA 🎣🎣
@Itznobody_ hi, I definitely recommend it. It is a good quality, affordable braid. I also suggest trying the Adrenalin cromium 4k braid, never had any issues with it🎣🎣

Hi Glenn, Thanks for still watching Crazy For Fishing SA. I have a good subscriber who gave me a rod with the bionic finger, I could not come right with that, I'm too old school, I cast with my finger, but braid can get pretty gnarly, so I think some people still need that. But I think if you get used to it, it comes in pretty handy, so I've heard and read. Thanks for the comment. 🎣🎣🤙🏻
@glennroberts2644 Yes, most definitely! I've experienced that first hand, but I've managed to get the knack of it and haven't had any cuts after a few practices. Hard to explain, but hey practice makes perfect. 🎣🎣🤙🏻
@StephenStigling hi Stephen, no I don't. But if I knew then what I know now I would have used it on the reefs, but unfortunately I do not stay in the Strand anymore. I think lures will work great for kabeljou on the reefs🎣🎣
Thank you, and thanks for still watching Crazy For Fishing SA! I always clean up where I have fished, I just don't always film it, but I will show you in my next video that I do remove everything and leave the place in a better state than what I found it. No this was not in Hermanus 🎣🎣🤙🏻
To the man that said its illegal to pump in waiders he is talking absolute kak..its about how much you take out not wat u doing..want to see him pump blood worm. Or better yet moonshine without a pilchard

How do you know what fish to target on any day of fishing? In other words how do i know where to catch galjoen kabel joe or steenbrass????

Does you rod have a bionic finger? Or how do you cast with braid?

@@crazyforfishingsa hence my question. Im surprised you not using a casting glove as the braid I believe can leave you with nasty cuts
