@1:40 From what I have experienced , it is better to use engine braking as much as possible because frequent braking will heat the brakes and cause brake failures.

I have saw how much hair pin bends were there in those 2 hill stations . Can I manage tirupati hair pin bends and can I drive individually

Absolutely right , thumb rule is whichever gear you ascend need to descend in the same gear
