No and the pests are now well established. 4 different types and the apples are ruined. I'm cutting down all my apple trees this winter because I won't use poisons.
I have this tree as well,6 years old and producing. I was introduced to this apple at a restaurant where I worked saute. Served them sauteed with a calvadoes reduction on Berkshire pork chops.

Unfortunately it is unlikely the apple would perform well in the Philippines. It requires a certain number of "chill hours" during which the temperature falls to just above freezing. Each individual variety needs a different number of chill hours, generally numbering somewhere between 300 - 600 with a few outliers needing less or more. If you are still determined to try, I would suggest discovering which apples have done well in the extreme southern portion of the US - Texas, Louisana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia. Those will all be varieties adapted to higher heat and humidity and may be able to adapt again to tolerate even more. It is, however, a process that may take in excess of 2 or 3 decades to complete. And your first trees will have to be babied excessively if you want them to bear fruit. I wish you much luck in your endeavor should you choose to pursue it!
200 years ago there were as many as 16k varieties of apple in the world. Today, apple enthusiasts say that there are less than 4k left, due to the rapid expansion of industrial farming. For the last 30 years or so there have been people who have dedicated themselves to "rediscovering" as many "lost" apple varieties as possible. When I buy land for my homestead the first thing I'm going to do is plant an apple orchard. I've even got a list of varieties I want, lol. To the reviewer who commented that they should come off with a gentle tug when ripe, I can say this is not entirely correct. The Arkansas Black is known as a long keeper, lasting well into the winter months after harvest and being a "late harvest" type typically hangs onto its fruit long after the fruit has become ripe, even in poor weather and windy conditions.
@@RickLarsonPermacultureDesigner Red Vein, Siberian, Trancendant, and Whitney are on my list. My first list, before I started paring that down to what I truly wanted in my apples was over 40 varietes. I managed to halve that by deciding to cut out the "novelty" type ones and organizing them by bloom and harvest seasons so everything has a pollinator available and I'm not too overwhelmed during harvest trying to pick all my trees. I know I'll have some on the ground but my plan is that once the trees are big enough and producing enough I'm gonna turn my pigs loose in there to clean up the mess. My choice for breed is the Gloucestershire Old Spot pig, the original "orchard pig".
If you want your Apple's to last pick and wrap each Apple in paper and place onto shelf don't let them touch they will last well past Christmas if the room is cool the better
These apples are the same color as double red delischios, but they look more like a macintosh to me.if they are sweet & juicy they may well be a hybrid mac. These are good eating apples, however a tart apple is best to make pies.
Thick waxy skin, medium sweetness, medium juice, real smooth taste.
