I feel like to truly appreciate these guys, you have to be more on the poetic side of things than the musical side of things! They may sound similar but them lyrics are... they make me question my lifes choices and how I can make things better; nay, FORCE me to think of how to make them better! And makes me take action! I think thats why i keep away from them sometimes cause complacency can be bliss... absolutely lyrical intensity for me
I'm a huge music fan of all types and yet I always come back to DLC. The selfish part of me wants them to remain my secret under the radar band. But these freakin guys deserve mega success and I hope they achieve all their goals. Please don't stop doing what you're doing!!

Like a fine wine you guys just get better with age. DLC will always be one of my goto bands, beautifully crafted, sung and fantastic musicianship as always. It's criminal that you guys aren't one of the biggest bands in metal and rock, because you certainly make some of the best music out there to date.
@@alondite215 Disagree. Taste is subjective, and in my opinion their music gets better and better with every bit of new material that they release. With time bands evolve, their music evolves and the stuff off of Dead Letter Circus is their best material to date in my eyes

The new music is objectively less creative, technical, and emotive than their earlier material. Facts don't care about your opinion, because what music you like is up to you, but what music is GOOD is not, and new DLC is worse than old DLC by every single possible metric by which music can be judged.

The lyrics have greater impact, Kim's vocals are more dynamic, the guitars are more diverse, drums more interesting (speaking as a drummer), overall, the band has matured! Yes, first album was great, but why keep doing the same, that road runs short!

I agree- This is the Warning is amazing, Catalyst Fire is pretty stunning as well... but after that, I was disappointed with the sudden “dumbing down” I felt they were filling up Aesthesis with (and every song was no different from the next!) The three songs they’ve released off this upcoming album so far have me hopeful and I’m quite excited to hear them all 😊 I think they got some creative juices flowing again 👍🏻🤘🏼
I never understand these complaints about sounding the same or writting about the same stuff. Its not broken so why change just for changes sake. All songs about personal and societal growth are essentially about the same general thing so if thats what a person cares about then its gonna always be the theme. I look at dead letter circus as a certain frequency I turn the knob to and I certainly dont care if they release 10 more albums that sound essentially the same because it is great. If we like them so much why do we want them to change? I understand your perspective but I don't agree. If I want another vibe Ill listen to a different band.
