I would absolutely love to see more of this type of page. Barbara, you have no idea how much you build my confidence and skillset. Thank you so very much! x
Thank you for taking us on your journey. I loved first watching the elements and then the page come to life. It turned out so lovely. Have a beautiful day, Barbara 🐨🇦🇺🦘
Always love watching your pinterest inspired projects and love to see more, also miss your 5 item challenges and also following other crafters tutorials and crafting without the “things”.
These trinket safety pins were perfect for this project. Your butterflies turned out so cute. And what a coincidence that you had 49 pins! Not positive that I believe in coincidences, so where does that leave us? Someplace fun, I’d say. Lol. Good job. ♥️♥️♥️
It takes some doing and your pliers but you can "spring" the coil (separate the wires) enough to thread the beads around the coil to the other side. Then you need to compress the coil again. Needle-nosed or jewelry work the best for doing that. It's not backperfectly but it works. ❤. Nice butterflies. Love the page. ❤❤❤
You are so entertaining Barbara xxx Love these butterflies, and the way you did your page. Just a tip, when stitching small pieces like this, leave them on the bigger piece of material or canvas, stitch, then cut them out, it's much easier to sew them. As ever a great joy to watch you xx
In answer to your question, yes please, I would love to see more of these types of videos! Your butterflies, and the finished page turned out beautifully, and I really enjoyed watching you go through the whole process of assembling the butterflies, to decorating the page. Very enjoyable. 🙂
I love this! The trinket pin worked out perfectly. On safety pins, you can use split ringer pliers to open the circular end so the seed beads will pass to the other side. Thank you for another fun video!
The butterflies turned out so lovely Barbara…amazing what a touch of gold will do! Yes please to showing more in this art journal…your videos continue to inspire. ❤❤
I think I'm going to use Pinterest that way to find some interesting ideas for my art journaling pages. Those butterflies came out so cute. I don't have my sewing machine with me but I can sew by hand. It's not like the stitches are straight. A few whimsy stitches would add extra detail. Thanks for taking the time to share Barbara. Your page really was cute. ❤
Love the Butterflies inspired by Pinterest. I really like you added the Tim Holtz style safety Pin. Loving all the textures. Very pleasing to the eye. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Very sweet. If you decide to make more of these or something similar in the future: to put the beads on the pin, perhaps try inserting the pin all the way through starting at the back, then put the beads on leaving enough space just at the tip of the pin to close it. The large end of the pin will be positioned in the back this way, however it will be peeking out the top enough to form the butterfly’s head.
How beautiful! I love this page. And I would love to see more like it. I really enjoyed the Pinterest inspired series, and I also really adore your XL journal. So seeing more like this is so exciting and inspiring! Hugs 🤗❤
Hello Barbara, your butterflies are so very cute, ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I enjoy watching your Pinterest inspired tutorials, they are very helpful to stsrt, can you make more of them please, Thank You!!! b🦋
Rey good, always enjoy these copycat versions of Pinterest ideas. You are quite good. Regarding the safety pins, I did something like this once, you can stretch the little circle at the bottom of the pin and force the beans around it carefully and with the right sized bead. Then pinch the circle of the pin back together. I hope this makes sense. 😉
I always love your Pinterest inspired art 💖💖💖 oh! and an idea for another time: you can string the beads on the poke-y side and then thread the safety pin from the back so that all that appears on the front is a row of beads... but then you lose the extra visual of the safety pin.
Gesso on cotton, hessian or denim is a good alternative to primed canvas. Those little glue guns are lethal 🙈. Oh these are way cuter than the originals😍. Also I prefer your reverse stencil😄. Gorgeous 😍. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖
Love your little butterflies. Totally understand that you want to add the beads to the other side of the pin. The way I would do it is by unwinding the wire loop & rewinding it with round nose pliers after you’ve put the beads on. I’m sure there’s an easier way though so I’ll see if there is 😊. I must admit, I would have just used wire to make an antennae loop, kink where you want it to bend, add the beads, bend to create a butterfly booty, maybe add more beads, or have the wings pass through the two sides of the wire. Then create a loop for the head so the antennae cross & the wire is joined together & add a little loop for the other antennae, then attach with glue or sewing. That way you don’t have to worry about the 🧷
This was a great project! This could be done with several different shapes also. Simple flower shapes for instance. I have a lot of different ideas. But the butterflies were beautiful
With the help of pliers you can thread the beads through the eye of the pin like you would do with a keyring and then just close the eye with the pliers again if it opened up to much. I've done it many times before an it works very well.
Everything you do is always so beautiful! I'm wondering if in one of your videos you could show a quick tutorial on sewing circles.. I have tried and it didnt end well lol
Very nice job Barbara. You can actually buy safety pins that don't have the little spiral on them so you can put the beads all they way around them.
Lol I did not know that!
I would absolutely love to see more of this type of page. Barbara, you have no idea how much you build my confidence and skillset. Thank you so very much! x
That makes me so happy! ☺️❤️
Thank you for taking us on your journey. I loved first watching the elements and then the page come to life.
It turned out so lovely. Have a beautiful day, Barbara 🐨🇦🇺🦘
Thanks! You too! 😊❤️
Dritz coiless safety pins are the answer to getting beads around to the backside! Great video. I love making butterflies 🦋
Thank you! ❤️
Lovely project, I was a bit stuck today on my current project, I enjoyed this inspiration! Thank you!❤
Gorgeous little butterflies. Beautiful page. I love this series. TFS ❤😊

Liebe Barbara, du hast ja mal wieder eine tolle kreative Idee verwirklicht. Toll !!!

How beautiful. I love how your projects come together. Not even one "oh, no!"
☺️❤️
I think this is my favorite kind of video; the mixed media ones and doing art journal pages. So much fun and so inspiring.
At first I thought: "no Barbara, not such small butterflies". But this page turned out very nice.
Love the safety pin, beads, and feelers 🦋 🦋 ❤
Safety pins with out the "O" at the bottom, available on Amazon, Barbara. Lovely page.💜
Oh thank you! ❤️
I love this! The trinket pin worked out perfectly. On safety pins, you can use split ringer pliers to open the circular end so the seed beads will pass to the other side. Thank you for another fun video!

Love this layout! Butterflies are special to me, blue butterflies represent mental health!! 🫶🌞🦋
Yes please keep doing these kinds of videos ❤them
Thanks for the inspiration and ideas to try my pins on Pinterest!!
Love it ! ❤ great job !
I love this! I think that the original poster used wire for the beads, instead of a safety-pin. There is a coil at the bottom.
Very sweet.

You can wire wrap some on
They are so sunny and bright, I love them sweetie ❤ those golden circles are like two suns warming the butterflies 😊
You could feed the beads onto a bit of fine wire then wrap the top of the safety pin in the place you want the beads
Thank you! ❤️
Lovely page! Your butterflies are beautiful!
