I had a Honda 50 in my teens. I hated that my shoes got wet in the rain. Those leg guards might keep your legs dry but lets all the water hits your shoes. I now have an electric Lifan E3 and even now it feels very luxurious to arrive home with dry shoes.

I used to work in a small cycle and motorcycle shop, I would build them from the crate and service them. Late 70’s early 80’s. They were very popular

I work on these, the modern equivelant, keeping the fam's and rellie's running. Carbed or modern EFI, 100, 110 and 125cc.
They only hold 0.7L of oil, for all the engine, box and clutch, so regular oil changes are crucial to long life.
I like to change @ 2000 kms or 1500 miles.
They are then pretty bulletproof, even indestructable.
Common to see 100,000kms or 60,000 miles, no smoke, no oil used, heads never been off, valve clearances checked twice max.
Cam chains can get rattley @ 70-80k
I have seen a couple @ 200,000 kms that needed a rebore and valve job, bottom end fine.

Wee tip for whoever buys it, too pricey for me lol, when running only use dip or main beam, don't use the sidelight option. Using sidelight will flatten the battery as, so I was told 50 years ago, the alternator does not give full output on sidelights setting.
