- When buying your new home, it is important to understand the basics on how to read a site plan. A site plan is a set of drawings that demonstrates what a site will look like once it is complete. This may include information such as home location, walk-out versus buried basement conditions, topography of property, and location of utility lines, drainage, and public easements.

I have a master's in Urban Planning and they do not offer a class on how to read site plans. It's ridiculous. I had to learn through internships and on the job.

Is it possible for people to divert or remove a manhole? Is it not the municipal property and my understanding tells me that it was placed at a specific place strategically so.

@@neolloydletsholo7515 you'll have to call the local government's office. They all have different rules about these sort of things. It is either a county or city issue. That is where I would start.
Can you show us how to use grading in a site plan? I am a landscape architecture major and I am learning how to grade. I am just very confused.
"Re-site" must be a catchy term you came up with. It is merely a revised site plan. Using common terminology will help your customers understand better. Keep your catchy terminology in house.
