Welcome to the Letterman TH-cam Channel, home to all your favorite clips from Late Night and Late Show - as well as conversations with the writers, producers and performers who helped make it all happen. And for those of you who like Miscellaneous, you may very well find some Miscellaneous here. - บันเทิง
To this very day, whenever someone asks me, “How did it go,” I always reply “They pelted us with rocks and garbage.”
That has to be one of the most resilient ‘Lettermanisms’ out there.
I’m told there’s a compilation of all of Kamarr’s appearances on Dave elsewhere on the TH-cams. Unable to confirm.
America NEEDS a Letterman reunion show!
That's very FUNNY 😅
Could not agree more. At Radio City Music Hall.
he's under contract to Barbara Gaines and her daughter
Seriously was there for the ANNIVERSARY.
Your DELUSIONAL if you think Dave would do a
R E B O O T...LOL
It's a matter of national security!
I looked it up. Danny Thomas died February 6, 1991. He appeared with Dave and Macaulay Culkin on January 8, 1991.
These pieces always lift my spirits, thanks Dave!
It's great to see Morty looking very healthy after all these years and that he seems to have a very nice couch. Great guy!
Finally :)
When we had Morty on our show last year, one of our best shows ever, we had 2 questions. The first was if they would finally give him a staff favorite moments segment on this lovely channel. The second, will they let him cuss on said segment.
Thankfully, both questions enjoy the affirmative.
4:33 rare footage of Grant Tinker flying coach! :)
13:26 The look on Dave's face after Morty had fondled his heiny...PRICELESS!
Way to go, Morty! You helped Dave out with some of the classic Late Night/Late Show With David Letterman moments ever. Thanks! Well done!
Damn right.
@@thelettermanpodcast That's one thing that separates the current late night hosts from Dave. They don't have a producer like Morty.
When I was in college, we used "They pelted us with rocks and garbage!"
Morty is a legend! I remember SPY magazine used to poke fun at him for his "man about town" ways.
Everyone loves pea boy but the clean up crew.
lolol i had this exact thought. I also can’t imagine being on the cleanup crew for some of the crazy street messes they made out on 53rd or whatever! Yeesh!
Thank god a shoutout to the very funny Kamarr appearances!!
Dave introducing Sheila Rogers to Morty, who has one leg outside his office window before coming back in to greet her, was a great gag.
Genius.
Really good. Thanks Morty.
We‘ve heard so much about those kids, but I‘ve never thought about their dad until today!
I will always believe that one of those kids is Don Giller, until proven otherwise.
I just mentioned wanting to see the hypnotist the other day. Thanks for posting a clip of that here. I believe at one point there was another hypnotist as well. But thanks for posting this one.
I think some of the best material are the mid 90s remotes when Dave would go on location places. Any of that stuff would be great as well.
Dave - his genius switch was never off. 👍😁
Amazing insights to the whole process producers go through. Fun, funny stuff guys. Thank you
4:42 legendary NBC president Grant Tinker, seated on the Anniversary show airplane
Well, the actor who portrayed legendary NBC President Grant Tinker. Not the real guy.
@@allendracabal0819And not a real actor. :)
Morty! This was awesome!! 😘 Daniel
“The man who invented the standup nap..”
Genius.
Best. Show. Ever.
Morty!!!
Kamarr was my favorite guest on Dave too. Well it was a tie between Kamarr and Jungle Jack Hanna. When they appeared, it was guaranteed hilarity
Maybe I'm just hungry but man that pudding looks delicious. Thanks Morty - great memories!
Who doesn’t love pudding?
@@thelettermanpodcast - Especially pudding that Dave and Morty have farted in.
My favorite producer 😃
Love you Dave ! Morty was the best producer
We had a special 2 parter episode with Morty last year. They don’t make em like him anymore.
Love these staff moments, yay pea boy. Thanks Dave!
Some great recollections ... and, I must say, there aren't TOO many men who look better older and with less hair as you do! Keep on keepin' on Morty.
Do a part two!
SOO GOOD. Thanks for posting!
Thanks for the stories😊, Morty
(guess I thought that was always your first name-as in Mortimer😅)
Now THAT’S funny.
Dave often referred to him as Robert "Morty" Morton.
Good way to start my day!!!
I was just trying to find the clip of Van Damme kicking Morty to show a friend the other night and hadn’t seen it since the original airing. Would love to see the whole segment. 13:43
Morty was a great part of the show.
I'd love to see Laurie Diamond do one of these.
Worlds Fastest Hypnotist!!! Hahahaha!
Marshall Sylver is still working in Vegas.
Morty!
Punk rock comedy.
Dave's interactions with Morty stood out to me as the ultimate "cool" thing in the late 80's / early 90's. It took away the pretense and "perfect" glean of a professionally produced talk show and just made it feel like the audience was cool enough to be in on all the jokes.
Anyone remember that Dave tried to get the Late Night audience to chant 'weasel' when Morty appeared on TV? LOL
Great to see Merrill there too 😊
*Merrill
The history of American comedy is broad and deep and complex, and it includes so many people you've never heard of who stood between visionary talent and the corporate suits who sought to control them. We all know Lorne Michaels, but producers like Morty Morton and Jeff Ross (Conan O'Brien's long-time producer) did the job five nights a week.
So great to finally have Morty on here! Not as sweet and down-to-earth as so many of the other staffers we've met, but his personality fit his role, and for the good of the show!!
Sir @dongiller can we see the whole episode of airplane anniversary special hahaha
Rumor has it that it may already be on another youtube channel...
It’s on Don’s channel already we believe.
@@thelettermanpodcast That's the rumor!
I had that taped that on VHS and would watch it over and over again when I was a younger man. Now lost to the mists of time.
Hilarious, Morty. Haha, and Dave did love making fun of you up in the office for eating at Orzo's...
miss you love you
This guy is an epic realtor now. Look up Robert Morton at Smith and Berg
i searched specically for morty clips
I like whirled peas👍🏼
Who doesn’t?
We should all visualize whirled peas.
@@allendracabal0819 way ahead of you. Mmmmmmm….
love my morty
Everyone loves Pea boy.
Those boys look exactly like Paul from The Wonder Years.
MORTY!
Mortybob!
I still remember the episode were Terri Garr was a guest....and they revelled that he was hanging around with her.....I was/am jealous....
Every time pea boy comes out all I can think of are the poor people who had to clean up all those peas :(
We release you of these thoughts…we happen to know they had the benefit of vacuum technology.
OKAY,
Enough already of Drew Barrymore FLASHING Dave....
AGAIN 😅
This comment is interesting. While of course many of these favorite moments are often repeated, the part that is fascinating is the different points of view folks on the staff had regarding said moment.
And not for nothing, Drew’s moment seems to be one that many folks can’t get enough of m
Salute
Please post the original airplane broadcast Dave and Paul did back in the 80's
Don Giller's Letterman channel has the full show plus some extras in the video called "The 4th Anniversary/Airplane Special on Letterman, February 1, 1986."
That was pretty funny
♥️
Letterman, Leno, Carson helped us to forget about our stressful days. Current late night TV only stresses us out more.
GREAT point. The aforementioned host’s shows were also owned by broadcasting companies with no real political viewpoints. Unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be the trend now.
Prison haircut went to Oz-prison levels over time.
Morty had a 'secret life' when not on Letterman set.. I;m serious..And I;m still not allowed to elaborate or else lol.
I hate the itching, but I don’t mind the swelling.
What, no mention of Dave ranting with his googly eyes "Must Kill Morty"!
That’s in part 2.
THANK YOU, that is one of my favorites along with Dave's joke about it being so hot in New York that the fat men were making their own gravy.@@thelettermanpodcast
They also didn’t include the best part of the “gas” montage. Matthew Lesko told Dave that the government had produced an instructional videotape about intestinal gas, and Dave immediately said, “Wendell, did you hear that?”
I was hoping the hypnotist Marshall Silver would be featured at some point. Stiff and rigid, stiff and rigid...
STIFF and rigid STIFF and rigid as a STEEEL BAR! 😂
@@kstepko yes as a steel bar😂
That’s his wedding night bit.
I was in the audience for one of his appearances! The one that also featured Calvert as Donny the Pastry Chef.
👍👍😁
Striking resemblance to NBC’s Dr. Morton Roberts.
There are no coincidences.
@@thelettermanpodcast A shame he couldn’t save the Actor-Singer…
@@okcmaxk lol….GREAT reference.
:)
Sup.
So, enough financial lubrication can get 2 big egos to work together again.
I guess it doesn't fit this format, but I wish he'd talked about his dismissal.
Hiiiiii ❤❤❤❤ 👍👍👍👌👌👏👏😁😁😁😁😁😁😁🥰🥰🤩🤩😍😍🙏🌹🌹
Love this channel. It's lame and edgy just like the shows, but also a lot older now.
