Green never mailed it in. They had him on one of the annual specials doing the same song as a duet with a female singer. It was an amazing way to end the special (7th)? I can’t believe I remember it. I’m going to look for it.
I love how in the very last skit, it was obvious that “Chris” was going to get thrown off the ledge of his window but even knowing that, I still found it hilarious!
Ha ha.. yeah he seems so sincere but kinda sad, like a bad kid who just got busted. He's naturally funny because I feel just a tiny bit sorry for him but still laugh out loud at his inevitable fate.
The greatest Paul Shaffer musical joke I ever heard (and Chris will appreciate this) was an outro to a Top Ten list. The topic was about how a family was financially capitalizing on the recent birth of their septuplets - seven kids. And Paul's song was "Money" by Pink Floyd. A good enough joke as it is, but the aspect of it that destroyed me - and I may have been like one in twelve people to get this - is that "Money" is in 7/4 time. Seven. Septuplets. BRILLIANT.
These were great memories -- the music of Letterman and his genuine love and appreciation for the artists was such a fantastic part of the show! Paul Shaffer, and the World's most Dangerous Band, were amazing every night!
Hearing this guy talk about music was amazing! We need more favorite moments from the band. Would also love to get Steve Jordan. Sadly Hiram and Bernie are gone.
I appreciate hearing from Chris Schukei, as someone who worked closely with Paul Shaffer and the CBS Orchestra, and the Late Show's musical guests. The music of the Late Show was always important to me.
Wow, this was one of my favourite ones. The music was often the best part of the show. I Know Paul has done this, but would love to see a Favourite Moments with some of the other band members too.
Need health insurance? Apartment broken into? Have a wedding coming up? It’s no coincidence how often people working on the show ended up getting paid airtime when they were in need.
Why did Paul play "A-Punk" for Alyson Hannigan from How I Met Your Mother? Took me a while, but it was Vampire Weekend for a former star of Buffy the Vampire Slayer!!!!
Does anyone know if all of Dave's shows, NBC and CBS are available on DVD or streaming like this? I thought I wathched his shows regularly but I sure don't remember this stuff. I guess I could Google it to find out, huh?
I love all of the clips and all of the staffs favorite moments but I have this one is the most awesome except when he went and mentioned Will Smith. That guy has lost his way, very sad 😔
Al Green gave me the chills. What a legend!
His energy was infectious
The older the get the more amd more i love Al Green.

Another great "Favorite Moments". Keep it coming.
10:42 Allan Kalter was a scream! LOL. I love the backstories so much. Thanks for sharing.
"The Letterman Family" sketch seems so obviously the inspiration for "Too Many Cooks."
I was thinking the same thing!!
Too Many Cooks meets Neverland Ranch.
I love how in the very last skit, it was obvious that “Chris” was going to get thrown off the ledge of his window but even knowing that, I still found it hilarious!
Saving the best for last, yep, my CBS Mailbag letter
Ha ha.. yeah he seems so sincere but kinda sad, like a bad kid who just got busted. He's naturally funny because I feel just a tiny bit sorry for him but still laugh out loud at his inevitable fate.
It’s wonderful to see someone who loves David as much as I do!

Wow. Thanks for that, man.
2005 edition of christmas baby please come home is the best. Darlene kills it at the end.
Shoutout to that Frankie Muniz bit part as "Timothy Michael Stevens"

Wow! Chris Schukei is a musical genius, and so is Paul Shaffer. Yes, indeed! They're also comedic geniuses along with Dave.
Loved this video!
Chris, this is fabulous! Thanks so much.

A great set of memories Chris
This guy has a great speaking voice.
Please do not stop making these until you’ve interviewed every person who ever got paid a single dollar to be associated with this legacy, twice!
Why is there still no show like it? Showbiz is hard!
This is truly great! Chris Schukei seems to be the show"s favorite stooge to torture, some truly wonderful and funny moments. Thanks for sharing.
Great retrospective, Chris! Hope you guys are doing well!
Funny stuff. Thanks Dave.
Thank you for the music ❤
That was fun. The family sitcom parody where all the kids are listed using their full names. 😂
2:24 Chuck Berry would not perform unless paid in cash lol
Awesome. I love these. Nice to get a musical perspective.
Kinda not surprised to hear about Van. Everything I've heard about him is similar.
Late Night music died the night Dave left the show. Now there’s nothing on like the energy Late Night had. Thank God we have YT too watch the past.
I had a pair of those bell bottoms. 😊
Elephant bells.
Gold. Comedy Gold.

Pretty sure that's Frankie Muniz (Malcom in the Middle) at 3:47!
CS, that was great!
Awesome!

Letterman was the greatest ❤
Dave's show was the BEST!
Paul did an impression of Jim Morrison once, singing the Energizer commercial.
I miss The Wahoo Gazette.
We need a Letterman Family reunion!
Would love to see a video about your archive system, or does the catalog only exist in your brains? Nerds, I know 🙂.
Hilarious TU😂👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Impressive Quality
I remember that 1973 episode.
hell yeah!
I sure do miss my David!
Hi Dave!!!
Darlene Love could wail!
Enjoy every sandwich, great video…
Is that Frankie Muniz?
The race car driver himself!
@@riverraisin1 Walter's middle child in his fake family.
Does anyone know if all of Dave's shows, NBC and CBS are available on DVD or streaming like this? I thought I wathched his shows regularly but I sure don't remember this stuff. I guess I could Google it to find out, huh?
great
Is that Frankie Muniz @ 3:47??
Is he on the set of The Barbara Gaines Show?
@2:56 Van Morrison with Sinéad O’Connor in 1995! Wish we could see the whole thing
I think we just did.
You should have Big Time, Big Deal celebrities do this. You know, the ones that were fans of the show.
I’m always hearing about Van Morrison being an… interesting guy.
Van Morrisson 😅😅
It was a different era.
PETE!!!
I love all of the clips and all of the staffs favorite moments but I have this one is the most awesome except when he went and mentioned Will Smith. That guy has lost his way, very sad 😔
Absolutely love Letterman, but I will never take Jimmy Fallon's advice on what's funny.
I think Frankie Muniz was in that skit.
2000 rules for what?
Van Morrison is a great musician and a terrible person.
Chuck Berry no humor and Van Morrison pure comedy.
