Love the photo collages. Every time I hear one of their earlier songs that I don't know, I am reminded of how good they were even in a style that I don't get into that much.
Watching you try to bring order to the chaos? Well, now the fun really begins. 😂 After 2 songs it's still relatively easy, but I'm willing to bet that after maybe 5-6 songs this could get really interesting already. 🤭 I'm actually not a big fan of series where I have to wait a week until the next episode. But I'm definitely putting this one on my weekly agenda! 😉 _____________________ 「 _"Our rock never dies ever. Forever!"_ 」 - from *BAND-MAID* - 'Manners' ♬🕊
You had to start with this one, eh? :p . My feelings on this song are all over the screen ;) . Overall I love the song. Is it their finest work? Maybe not, but you certainly get a sense of where they came from here ... with others writing their music. A stark difference from where they are today. Each of these is like a little time capsule and is really intended to help folks form a closeness with our MAIDs :) .
@@K-RossReacts Thanks for using them ... I hope you enjoy them. I have a collection of about 3000 photos I make these from. FYI Be OK is one of my top 3 BAND MAID songs ever :)
Meant to say before- great intro sequence that you using now. Don't stress about us fickle Maidiacs. Ever Green-1976 re-visited. Pure punk- I was there. Red and black clothing- slashed and safety pins.
Kudos to PinD, so good to hear this song again, the early coalescence of B-M's creativity and arrangement, there's many a band today who'd kill to have this tune in their catalogue. Thanks Mate and down the track when this gets really challenging and starts fcking with your brain I promise to send beer so you can drink heavily, I'll get Gary H and Roger C to chip in cause I think you'll need it. Cheers 👍🍻
So far so good. For me, it's hard to separate the song Be OK from the sentimentality attached to it as the first song they wanted us to hear, also I keep thinking about Miku whipping her twin tails in the live videos.
Based on the current available data and the premise that your favourite BAND-MAID is the one you've just listened to, we can extrapolate. #1 - Protect You.
The Pigeon says I have to say I have no favorites. No I have no favorites. But I don't not have no favorites, and my not favorite is not Be OK. 🕊️ Hopefully that will translate to Japanese as gibberish, Po. If I fail to comment From Now On, please call the embassy.
Okay, I cheated and listened to both songs multiple times and finally made up my mind. I’m sure this system is going to be sustainable going forward…… 1. Be OK 2. Evergreen I really dug the chorus in Be OK more
I like that you can't change the ranking. I think that makes it even more interesting. "Evergreen" is easily my least favourite of their catalogue. Only one other song is even in the same ballpark. For me it has no Band-Maid in it. I think a lot of bands could have done this song exactly like this, and I don't think I can say that about anything else they've done, even on this album or "Ai to Jonetsu no Matadoru". Maybe these songs are more similar to other bands than what Band-Maid became, but they are still Band-Maid. That's not what I hear in "Evergreen". It does make me happy to know that I don't automatically like everything they do; that I know what "the Band-Maid sound" is for me. It means that I'm still capable of being at least somewhat objective. Which means that so much of the other music they've done is really *that good*. Without lows, you can't appreciate how good things are and we have things very good with Band-Maid.
K-Ross, How could you diss "Evergreen"!!!!! Shame On You!!!!! JUST KIDDING, LOL. They are both fun and catchy songs and everyone should be able to hear and rank the songs according to THEIR tastes. Keep it up. You may get some hateful comments later about the songs and their rankings, but those people should be thankful that they get to hear another Band-Maid song, which is a good thing. I might make comments about the rankings, but please realize, it's only in jest. I respect your insights about the music and they are eye opening at times. So, thank you!!!!! Have fun!!!!!
I don't understand the Punk references. I'm old, and, for me,Punk equals the Sex Pistols. This song does not remind me of them. Will you give me some examples of performers you would classify as Punk or Pop Punk? Thanks Plus, you have to remember the early songs were written for them not by them. Some of those songs are actually quite good. Songs like Thrill,Real Existence,Don't Let Me Down,Freedom, and The Non-Fiction Days. Looking forward to the rest of your series.
I was thinking the same thing regarding genre. Considering the breadth of the music that is called punk, this is far on the pop-punk side of things to my ears. I might even call it punk-tinged pop. Not that labels really matter ultimately.

PinD is a legend,so many great songs put to photo collages, which would be audio only, enjoy them all.

So far we agree. It's great that you have the PinD videos.
Yes it is :)
I really liked the opening sequence of this video. Listening to the really old Band Maid is kind of funny but it's still very well done.
Another song that reminds me so much of '
Bananarama, The Go-Go's, The Bangles, etc

Their first (before the « Thrill » revolution) album is surprisingly good. I want more pop punk B-M songs.
You figured out the cheat code for making an epic opening 😏
I agree. Be Ok.👌
I'm with you so far. But I do adore "Be Ok"!
Panic does great work, for sure! There are a lot of Gary Holloway art in these too, btw!
Is there?😯
Based on the current available data and the premise that your favourite BAND-MAID is the one you've just listened to, we can extrapolate. #1 - Protect You.
Yep what he said ^^^^^^
lol Protect You is already my song of summer and it hasn’t been fully released yet!
hee hee hee ... already out of date! 😃
MISA MISA MISA!!!!! 1.Be OK
2.Evergreen

Be OK!
🤘🕊️🦍🥷👸🏻👀PO!
I'm thumbs upping just watching your intro...
Yay! Thank you, Po!
I agree - I like Be Ok more. I'll be struggling by the time you get to the Conqueror album.
Okay, I cheated and listened to both songs multiple times and finally made up my mind. I’m sure this system is going to be sustainable going forward……
1. Be OK
2. Evergreen
I really dug the chorus in Be OK more
Love that you are doing this. More Band Maid is better, Po!
1. Be OK
2. Evergreen
I could see this changing for these two just based on my mood, though.
This must be tortuous for you, K-Ross. You don't have to do this to yourself you know...
Hey, bananas.🍌🍌

1. Be OK
2. Ever Green
I mean this as a great compliment.....Elvis Costello could not have written that better....
1 Be Okay 2 Evergreen.
I love both songs but I have to agree that Be Okay is a little better than Evergreen. And I also think you're going to like the next one
Be OK is the cooler song

I go into it in the next few episodes 👌
Be OK is at worst top 3 on the album, Evergreen is mid imho. Just my opinion though, not hating on anyone who disagrees. We all have our tastes.
