I am a carpenter and always ask for Saint Nicholas Owen to intercede for me that my work be only for the glory of God.
I truly love the content of 'Uniquely Mary' and these martyrs of the Eucharist are so close to my heart. I'm the mother of an anti catholic family and I have to hide alot even tho I'm open about prayers, sign of the cross... I do what I can, but it makes me wonder what the future has in store for the faith, how bad its going to get. You said it right 'theres something beautiful in the tragedy of the saints'! I smile at this, Jesus and Mary are so close to us. Regardless of the cross, our hearts can sing!
I do know what priest -holes are. I am so grateful for these holes because they saved Catholicism in England. As a Catholic woman and a person of British heritage, I am so glad for his work so many centuries ago.
St. Nicholas Owen pray for us. Blessed Edmund Campion, pray for us. Queen Katherine of Aragon, pray for us.
One cannot thank you enough for this excellent discussion. It was a combination of the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart and the Holy Eucharist that brought me into the Church. Having been raised in an unchurched Lutheran family (partially in Germany) I saw the contradictions within their teachings and my questioning was not tolerated. However, when the same questions were asked of the Catholic friends, concise answers were always offered. In observing & reading about the Eucharist, an unquenchable yearning grew in my heart. Finally, in 2003, I took the plunge and the feet didn't touch ground for two months. It's very hard to miss Mass. Thanks again for everything you do. Pax
Such informative talks, thank you.
The ways that the English tortured Catholics was absolutely horrific, even pregnant women. 😢
