Mike Washburn I stumbled across them by shear accident one day, on Pandora, I listened all the way through vultures fly in a metal playlist, and I saw the name and thought “never heard of them, I’ll look them up”. This was about 4 months ago and I’ve been addicted ever since!
Avatar is beyond underrated. One of the few bands I have found with no bad albums. Tooth, Beak, and Claw, The Eagle Has Landed, or When the Snow Lies Red are amazing songs by Avatar
The entire Feathers and Flesh is so fucking good. Perfect album for me (every other album is near perfection, their old ones are kind of meh but the selftitled changed it all)
Johannes (the lead singer) - incredible showman. Avatar is bad-ass! So many great riffs, super melodic and killer guitar work! I hope you guys check out more Avatar soon!

Avatar is only second to Ghost in best live performances I've attended and it's a very close second. They have amazing energy ALWAYS. You guys should listen to more Avatar for sure.
Many bands a lot more successful that Ghost have made millions and gathered large fan bases with mediocre singers. Ghost is still an underground/niche band.. What they do great is they have great musicians especially live and they put on a good show. The singer’s vocals however are not that great by any means, his strength is he’s a good showmanship and his vocals do enough where you can over look them. His musicians are very talented as well
I saw Avatar in concert last year, didn't know anything about them but had the night off and they were playing at the local small concert venue, maybe 15 miles away. They are excellent live, really put on a great show :)
So happy. Avatar is my favorite band of all time. They are the pinnacle of metal. They can literally do it all. Showmanship, musicianship, incredibly deep and powerful lyrics. Singer can sing his ass off and scream just as well. They also have some songs with more complexity and melodic stuff. Please do more!!!
Woblbaughs Jiglesak I can give you a few of my personal favorites, but it’s a tough one since I love literally every song from them. Bloody Angel, Paint Me Red, Smells like a Freakshow, Let it Burn (amazing riff). Tower is all clean and very melodic and eerie. And then two songs that really show some amazing guitar work: Regret + House of Eternal Hunt and Legend of the King. Just an incredible band.
But he also does some singing in Bloody Angel and The Eagle Has Landed so I would start with those first but also the song New Land has a lot of clean vocals in it.
I don't mind growling at all. I just don't usually care for songs that are only growling. Thanks for the suggestions you all, I will be checking them out!
I’ve seen them about 6-7 times, I’ve met the guys twice about four years ago and to be honest they’re awesome, sweet, wholesome guys and I couldn’t be more happy that they’re still around and getting bigger. :)

Claytob There’s a very deep Avatar rabbit hole you can get caught in. They’ve been around a very long time and have an amazing catalog. This band is the complete package. Very diverse and unique. Their Singer Johannes is the best vocalist in metal imo.
Ni Ro I’m a huge fan of Ghost as well. Both Swedish bands but with completely different styles. I love the state metal is in. So many directions and I know bands like a Ghost and Avatar don’t want to be put in a box or have any type of label on their genre. Just play music that sounds amazing.
Yeah they are both a perfect fit for a co headline show but Avatar isn't doing as well as ghost is and Tobias I think wants to do his own thing unless it is a big name like Metallica. The way it is looking ghost is going to be the really popular band and Avatar is going to remain the underground band.
My introduction to Avatar was seeing them live with five finger and all that remains. They are amazing to watch. Will def see them again in the future.

Saw Avatar in their first American show ever in Greenville, SC opening for Sevendust. I didn't think they were my style at all. After Seeing them live I was blown away. Love these guys so much now! Oh and as some others have said, Bloody Angel is a must!

They are truly an amazing live band. The entire band is friendly and fan oriented. My favorite part of them is after they play they will almost always come out and mingle with the fans.
Hail the Apocalypse is great but Bloody Angel is much better IMO also by Avatar The Tower by Avatar is another amazing song, very unique and haunting Let it Burn has what has to be the sickest riff ever written...
My favorite part of the guitar licks is the fact they aren't using the frets but rather the whammy bar for the rising and dropping notes. Watch their video of them showing how to play it minus the lyrics. It's still pretty dope.

He growls in every song at least a little but he does more singing in The King Wants you and The King welcomes you to avatar country

Carnival is one thing, but every time I see the guy on the scene I have Joker from Batman in my mind.
Their "circus" atmosphere was done on purpose because their tour was called the Avatar Country Circus Tour.
