Ed told us that one of our records was his first CD that he ever bought when he was a kid. That really meant a lot to us, so we thought, 'Wow, we'd love to have you come out to join us on stage.' We're gonna play one of the songs you wanted to play.
'Million Miles Away' was the 5th track off of the Offspring's 2000 album "Conspiracy of One", a song which the group has not played live since 2016(!).
About an hour and a half later, Ed Sheeran headlined the JaM Cellars stage at BottleRock!

I met the offspring at a show back in 1999, they were legitimately the nicest guys you could ever imagine! I still remember it like it was this year.
Ed has a great taste in Offspring songs. This one is one of my favorites as well!

million miles away might be my favourite offspring song too, ed has taste for sure. i was absolutely insanely obsessed with the offspring for a couple of years, it was the first real rock band i ever heard. on the other hand, my older brother was a huge fan of ed and had an autobiography or something to that effect where it said conspiracy of one was the first album he ever bought. this is so cool to see, truly a full circle moment :')

And if you look closely, you can see how Dexter plays the guitar, with the more punkrocky style while Ed is handling the guitar more folk-rocky ... If you know what I mean. They both play the same part, but a bit different. (from 1:40 it's crystal clear : ))

Both Ed and Dex looking really healthy here, and both sounding great. Dex's voice has honestly gotten alot better over the last few years. Ed's always on point, just a matter of if you like his style or not
