Hawaii will never be ready for storms. Hawaii's infrastructure stays the same, but storms change. Nature changes the game, but Hawaii still plays the old game.

Majority of structures in Hawaii is made up of Micky Mouse Materials, including the poles that hold up the electric power lines. Our warm climate is suitable for lots of termites so why they make everything mostly out of wood? lol

The deaths and destruction From the Maui Fire disaster were not due to just a fast moving deadly Firestorm, the deaths and destruction were due to ar extremely poor and odd and very abnormal emergency response that did not follow any normal emergency response safety protocol. The crisis emergency started early in the morning 8/08/23! Mayor Bissen Failed to call a state of emergency and call in National Guard help! He waited until all the people were dead. and the town was thoroughly leveled at 8:00 p.m.!😮! 😮! At 5:52 am, 8 power Poles broke Blocking the Towns Southern Escape route on Hwy 30 South and Bissen, Andaya, and Police Chief Pelletier or HELO never bothered to ensure the town had an evacuation escape route out south! they never demanded that HECO clear the poles to the side of the road and open up the evacuation Lanes! They never told HECO that there was to be No more repairs, reinstallation of poles and EVAC ROUTES WERE TO REMAIN OPEN! Hwy 30 South remained closed for 11 hours! I also counted 14 road blocks put up From 5:51am- 1:25pm!! One hour prior to 2:55 pm noon Fire. This is just the Southern road Blocks, there are more Road blocks north! The southern portion of Front Street to Highway 30 at Papalua Street down South to Hokiokio Place had 14 Blocks, Fully cutting off Southern exit (see Police Report) all north and south side roads off of Lahaina Luna Road were blocked which created a Funnel Forcing Fire Evacuees onto Front Street. At 2:50 pm Hwy 30 North From Keawe street to Fleming was closed due to Fallen Poles/ De-energized Lines. Evacuees from Komo Mai Street and closed Bypass which leads onto Keawe Street had to be directed into the Cannery Mall which was a trapped maze lot that had only one exit out onto gridlocked Front Street! From 2:50 pm to 4:53pm, people were held in The Cannery Mall as the deadly fire approached, when at 4:53pm, Pelletier alledges officers led evacuees North on Front St, right on Kapanukea and North on Hwy 30 For their escape. the problem is, Police Chief Pelletier never contraflowed Front Street North, nor did he immediately fully open up and contraflow Highway 30 North at Front St. and Fleming which was the town's only evacuation Escape Route! He Failed to Stop all southbound traffic on Highway 30 that was coming north from napili and he also allowed that traffic to enter on to Front Street creating more gridlock! (see 2:59pm Phone call where officer asks, can I send South Highway 30 onto Front St. and Pelletier replies, yes!) Proof exists that Pelletier also ordered Barricades Be erected in which police officers intermittently blocked Front Street! Herzog video shows Police were ordered to put is there a police vehicles nose to nose blocking Front Street, which blocked people from escaping a deadly Firestorm, and created a deadly Chain Reaction gridlock South and throughout the town which Trapped People into the deadly Firestone where they had to run for their lives into the ocean to save themselves! Locals testify many bodies were seen floating on the Water and by the Seawall, that there were many charred bodies in burnt out cars, the children were seen dead on Front Street! if you look at pictures of the cars on Front Street, they look as if they had crashed into each other and ran a top the sidewalk when the Firestorm hit them. II as well as many, many others believe many more people drowned and died than what Pelletier is claiming! Police chief Pelletier is not telling the truth about what happened on Front Street, because he is guilty of causing what happened on Front Street and throughout the town. His defense as to why he ordered the barricading in of People, is down Power Lines that could have electrocuted People if their cars ran over them! But HECO had already confirmed that the power was off many times that day! So, people in Lahaina did not just suffer and die due to a Fire, there is way more to it than that!😮😮😮😮
Yeah. All that happened! I totally disagree with the dead children on Front Street! Ridiculous!! And, when we get another major weather related catastrophe It wont be much different. You cant stop mother nature. You can only do so much to prepare. Hopefully we learn from this.....but you cant stop it. I was here in Lahaina that day. It was very DRY and the WIND was extreme. I knew at noon, that Lahaina was in trouble. The WEATHER was crazy
You sit here and recount everything that happened....but you don't UNDERSTAND The fire started at 3ish way up the hill, and it was soooo hot, and moved sooo fast (WIND) that Front Street was already on fire 2 hours later. The WIND was fierce and it sent fire bombs ahead of it. Flying embers were BIG and small....TONS of flying embers! Now....I am sure that had YOU been in charge.....everything would have gone much better! Cuz you KNOW better 🙄

I have 8 more testimonies From credible locals that Pelletier dismisses. Can't you SEE, Pelletier is trying to cover up his big bad negligent mistakes or intentional Actions, So he distances himself From Front Street horrors! He lies. I Believe Real true Native Hawaiians! Pelletier Lies.
Pelletier was stationed in Vegas at the time of a mass shooting now he's failed in Maui after a direct energy weapon was used same weapon that destroyed chili and melted moai..in rapanui ..fires don't melt stone or cars ..evil people do
Meh. If it happens it happens. I have ZERO faith in our local government being prepared. The money spent on rail should have been used to repair and update infrastructure

Nothing new , all hype, we've had disastrous storms my life. I'll say tho ," big mony maker is all"the tide and current determine the sand movement. Another money maker. We don't need politicians, we need business people to lead, poor lying politicians!
