My take: age. Din Grogu will rule Mandalore simply after Bo Katan. He will travel, grow, learn to speak and then. He will get this crystal for his own lightsaber and tame the beast. And he will be what Gideon imagined: a force user in Mandalorian armor.

Tarre Vizsla was a Jedi and Mandalorian leader who united his people during times of conflict. He did this to protect his people by uniting them to prevent any more divisions and wars that will destroy their culture and people. However, Tarre Viszla is a Jedi at heart, a peacekeeper. He died a Jedi and his Darksaber was kept in the Jedi Temple in his honor. However, House Viszla would one time raid the Jedi Temple and steal his Darksaber, believing it to be the symbol of power and unity. What House Viszla got wrong was that Tarre Viszla's leadership, peacekeeping skills, and courage is what united Mandalore. Not the Darksaber. This heavy misconception in the Darksaber culture led to many Mandalorians desiring it by killing or defeating its previous user. This constant cycle caused Mandalore to stray away from Tarre Viszla's teachings in favor of self-interest. The endless Darksaber claim wars gradually destroyed Mandalore and left the world barren and lifeless. Many Mandalorians believed that one who didn't properly earn the Darksaber will bring Mandalore to ruin. This idea is heretical and prideful as the Mandalorians are left blinded that it is their hubris that caused Mandalore's destruction, not how the Darksaber is claimed. Mandalorians must escape the cycle and learn to believe in themselves and other Mandalorians. They must learn how to stop needless violence and regain honor as well as rediscover the teachings of Tarre Viszla, the Jedi peacekeeper of Mandalore. Therefore, the destruction of the Darksaber symbolizes the end of the cycle and that Mandalorian unity is what makes Mandalorians strong, not trinkets like the Darksaber. It is the person, not the object who can change society for the better. It will be ironic if House Viszla had the assistance of the Sith Empire or one of many Sith Empires (Lucas did say there were many) to help steal the Darksaber from the Jedi Temple. Joining the literal devils of Star Wars in stealing the Darksaber just shows how House Viszla fell from grace. Paz Viszla's sacrifice is meaningful because he is what a Viszla should've been. Caring, courageous, and selfless. Paz Viszla is like Tarre Viszla returned as if the former Mandalorian Jedi came back to give Mandalore one final push to salvation. The Mythosaur is a rare creature but might be a very wise and intelligent one. The Mythosaur likely saw Mandalore's depravity and left. It will return once Mandalore regains its lost honor. This is the way. For Mandalore!!!

@@katerbiller04 Yoda was a Master Jedi by 100 yrs old - Grogu is only 15-ish years off from the age Yoda was when he became a Jedi Knight:
Born nine-hundred years before the Battle of Endor,[17] Yoda belonged to an ancient and mysterious species[4] and little was known of Yoda's early life;[18] he never revealed his homeworld.[1] As he was keenly attuned to the Force, he joined the Jedi Order as a youngling. After undergoing the ritual known as the Gathering, he received his kyber crystal, and Professor Huyang helped him construct his first lightsaber aboard the Crucible.[19][20] At some point during his time as a youngling, Yoda skipped across the lily pads in the Jedi Temple's meditation pond.[21] Yoda was paired up with a personal mentor. During their time together, Yoda's Jedi Master told him the tale of K'ungfu and Chuang, two great Jedi of the past.[6] Around the age of 100, Yoda was ready to pass on what he had learned. Having attained the rank of Master, he spent the next eight centuries training and tutoring generations of Jedi.[5] It was estimated that over his lifetime, he trained around twenty-thousand Jedi.[22]

I would agree that it is a possibility that the Darksaber could be renewed, but I think the standing belief in the Darksaber's apparent destruction is integral to the Mandalorians's ability to move past the hangups they have of its importance in deciding the Mand'alor. Moreover, if it is ever to come back, I think it needs to disappear from the overall larger presence of Mandalorians for the same reason. Consequently, I think that means that Grogu can be the only one to see it reforged in secret, either at the Great Forge or under the tutelage of Huyang, as others here have suggested.

I think they did this so they can dedicate at least 1 season to finding parts for the Dark Sabre. They write the show like a videogame, so at the start of the season the main quest will be to find parts. Then each episode he will travel to a location where he will be given a side quest where he needs to perform actions to get that part. Either they do this in the last season or maybe in the movie. My guess is that they will reforge the Dark Sabre to Din Grogu's size, the last scene will be Grogu holding the Dark Sabre with all the Mandalorians standing behind him. That is my guess. But first they will spend a season on something else, maybe ending with Din Djarin and Din Grogu on the Mythosaur's back. This would mean that they will have their new leader, the only question would be.. will they use the tv show for this or the movie they have planned?

  • @lxpang
    @lxpang ปีที่แล้ว +33

I think Bo Katan’s position is pretty stable for the following reasons:
    1. The Armourer’s backing of her as a uniter of Mandalor earlier in the season when she allowed Bo to take off her helmet, has so far proven genuine and doesn’t seem likely to change.
    2. She has the backing of multiple Mandalorian factions with different beliefs including the children of the watch, the remnants on Mandalore, and her former team/tribe/clan.
    3. Yes, Grogu sensed and maybe communicated with the mythosaur, but Bo saw the mythosaur and the Amourer seems to believe her claim enough to support her to take the throne.
    4. How old is Bo? At least in her mid-30s? Assuming she can rule into her 90s for say 60 years at most, Grogu will still only be 110 years old and perhaps still only a pre-teen in terms of emotional and cognitive maturity, so Grogu would not be old enough to rule anyway.
    5. Din Djarin does not seem to even want to rule Mandalore, and seems happy with his cabin on Nevarro. Din seems to be a galaxy-roaming outsider to Mandalorian society rather than seeking to settle down in Mandalorian society. Therefore, he doesn’t, and nor has he ever desired to rule Mandalore.
    6. Perhaps the dark sabre is a cursed artifact that fractures rather than unites the Mandalorian people, and would therefore be better off abandoned for the time being.

Except it was explicitly stated in the show that the Darksaber's hilt is made of Beskar, and of a quality not seen before. And it actually does make sense that it would be made out of Beskar considering who made it - Tarre Vizsla was both a Jedi and a Mandalorian, and was immersed in both cultures. In Mandalorian tradition, Beskar is meant to protect. In Jedi tradition, a lightsaber is meant to protect. So one could say that a lightsaber hilt is the exception to the Mandalorian rule against Beskar being used in weapons if you were to combine both traditions.
You could also technically argue that because only the hilt is Beskar, it's merely protecting the user from the energy of the Darksaber's blade emission system, but I feel that's not nearly as strong of an argument.

@@VestedUTuber I have been wrong about that yes, and it is confirmed it is by the hilt only because it is considered protection. I have changed that in a different comment. instead it was only the hilt itself as it is considered protection like how a sword guard is used to protect the user. I think that is the reasoning for the beskar hilt of the darksaber like willow whisps (I think it's name is) mando has as yes it's made of beskar the missles are not just like the blade of the dark saber.
the way I see it how the saber broke was likely like how mandolorians have non beskar weakpoints in their suits showing they could be stabbed at still, this is possible with the dark saber I think as the pieces were able to be tear it in half though lookiing closely it was bent in only one spot with components coming out the top, Now it seems that is the reason why it was bent, I will say Gidean did find ways to penetrate beskar already it is possible he found a way to bend beskar though technological strength as well since beskar was clearly penetrated by a few royal guards.

I mean eventually they are going to have him be more on the offensive and I can't see him using a blaster while also using the force. It would make the most sense because the dark saber hilt would've always been to big for his species as you can see when Luke was holding Yodas lightsaber he could only hold it with one hand while we see people holding the dark saber with both hands. Plus he is the only other force using mandalorian in existence so if they don't give him a lightsaber to use in battle they really need to get creative with how he fights with the force

Am sure the crystal is intact or big enough pieces to be rebuilt in a new hilt. Besides the set-up is for Bo Katan to tame and ride the Mythosaur to claim the position of uniter of Mandalore You know, at first I was like nooo, such a cheap way to take it out. In the end though when you think about it, now Mandalore can move on.. and in a way tie up loose ends as to why it never shows up in the Disney Sequels(matter of fact, neither do the Mandalorians?) Moff Gideon even made mention of Mandalorians needing trinkets, Restarting the Forge is symbol enough to rally the Mandalorians behind Bo Katan
I hope that Grogu can receive the crystal and use it along with that piece of the razor crest he loves to create his lightsaber. I mean eventually, they are going to have him be more on the offensive and I can't see him using a blaster while also using the force. It would make the most sense because the dark saber hilt would've always been too big for his species as you can see when Luke was holding Yoda's lightsaber he could only hold it with one hand while we see people holding the dark saber with both hands. Plus he is the only other force using Mandalorian in existence so if they don't give him a lightsaber to use in battle they really need to get creative with how he fights with the force maybe they won't give the dark saber a fresher look Best twist. Crystal split in two. Grogu duel wields. Loses one. Gets Yodas Saber. Holds a dark saber and Yodas saber I want to see Grogu rebuild the Darksaber into a dual-bladed black LS as if the crystal was cracked in half. I agree! I believe Grogu will take the crystal from the dark saber and remake it eventually! Especially with the lightsaber-builder droid being teased...
The Darksaber is really just the future version of the helmet of Mandalore. Once upon a time, you couldn't rule the Mandalorians without it. I think the destruction of the dark saber is supposed to symbolize a change in the Mandalorians and their ways, especially after the events of season 3 of Mando Grogu's new lightsaber, rebuilt in his training to be the next Mandalore I was fine with the idea of the dark saber going away.. but anyone else kinda wonder why it sounded like a plastic toy being broken -?😂I think it opened up where Grogu can use the crystal to make his own lightsaber. Lando: welcome back friend Luke: it's good to see you right r2? Where han? He is not with the new republic. Lando: I don't know The Darksaber was a curse on the Mandalorian people. The fact that it broke is like the curse lifting and the return of the Mythosaur (The True Symbol of The Mandalorian people.) My bet is that those Raptors will be used by Din, Bo, and The Armorer. I think they just came up with a plan to have Grogu grow up with a tinier black-bladed lightsaber All the qualities required to wield the dark saber are also qualities that would lead to being a highly effective leader, for good or for ill, and wielding the saber poorly along with being an ineffective leader practically guarantees that someone more befitting will come and take it. It's actually a phenomenal tool to forge a path forward for the Mandalorian people.
It's an excellent Sci-Fi repackaging of the concept of Excalibur and the divine right to rule. What is it with Disney and destroying iconic lightsabers? It sounds like even lightsabers can be heavy to the wielder, much like the Darksaber was. Remember that it was Malgus and his Allies who raided the Jedi Temple. It was in that raid that the Darksaber was reclaimed by the Mandalorians. So did anybody else notice that Mof Gideon was making his own robot hydraulic sounds like he's JT from Grandma's Boy. I'm surprised he didn't fire off an "Adios Turd Nuggets" pew pew pew pew pew pew and pew 😅 They can't just reassemble it. It has to be constructed by a person with a solid connection to the force, light or dark, who has been suitably trained in the use of the force. It won't be the same dark saber.3 I think it will come back as a mini dark saber for a mini wielder. If you know what I mean 😛
    Two issues with the scene-
    1. How was Gideon able to destroy the Darksaber if "the hilt is of a quality of Oskar (I have) never seen before"? Season 2 Darktroopers couldn't even dent Din's armor with their strength.
    2. Shouldn't Bo's hand/fingers have been absolutely pulverized between the grip of the Moff and the Beskar hilt before the hilt itself has been crushed? It'd be one thing if the Moff was holding the hilt on its own, but he clearly gripped around Bo's fingers...so... Perhaps our newest apprentice will construct a part of the cyber crystal and re-make a dark saber I don't know about most of this. You have to look at Disney's direction with SW. They seem to be trying to delete all the Jedi and Jedi artifacts. Except for Mary Sue princesses. I wonder if the crystal is going to get polished or cleaned showing what kind of lightsaber it can become. Im think Grogu will be the one to create A new darksaber. 2 smaller dark sabers for Din Grogu! I wonder if people really know what the word stoic actually means or perhaps they guessed incorrectly from context or oversimplified it or conflated it then never went back to verify precise and accurate use of it The cyber crystal (or karate dragon pearl) will be given to Grogu. He will be able to use it to craft his own black lightsaber but it won't have the darksabers blade shape, just be dark regular lightsaber. The components that Tar Visla used to make the unique blade-style emitter for the darksabers are not in the supplies that the robotic instructor maintains. So he could aid in instructing the group in constructing a lightsaber using the crystal/pearl/or whatever that focuses the energy, but not be able to make one with the blade shape. The color should remain the same but the circuitry tar made to form a blade was crushed and no one knows how he achieved that unique design or if there would be more than one blade-style lightsaber in the galaxy Wel,l this seems to me the only logical reason that it has stayed aone-of-a-kindd lightsaber. If they have zero plans of a series/movie showing Luke’s adventures finding/learning all of this amazing information about the past. Then we need to get a Trilogy of Books something like Luke Skywalker & the History of the Force!! He may be told in the 1st book by the force ghosts of Anakin Yoda & Obi-Wan who tell him about the Jedi before the purge. Then Anakin could give him a list of secret hidden planets that were important to the Jedi that he found but never told Sidious because he wanted to find something that could give him an advantage against the emperor. Then Luke can go to a number of these planets in each book helping folks along the way!!! They're going to rebuild the hilt for Grogu Was literally just thinking about this part and then found this sitting in my recommendations 😅 wondering if it will come around in Grogu's prime like he will end up needing/using it because of how Kyber crystals are hard to come by? So how was the Kyber crystal used for the Death Star? Reforging weapons has appeared in many stories. It's just a piece of machinery. As long as the crystal is intact, a new hilt can be constructed. The reconstruction of the Dark Sabre could be an interesting and compelling storyline. Destruction of the dark saber = death of the show The force will tell Grogu how to build a new lightsabre. Makes sense. The crystal is the lightsaber. The hilt is just the construct used to focus the energy. Are Cortosis blades ever going to be introduced to Sadine Win into Cannon? I think that Grogu is going to get the crystal when he finds some Jedi scripts or something where he learns that padawans find their crystals with the force Din Grogu will reconfigure the Darksabre to fit his needs and then summon the Mythosaur to look like an usher in the new age of Mandalore for HUNDREDS of years because of his ability to live for centuries.

I don’t think it matters and that is why it was crushed. hence the reason everyone was still following her and chanting for Mandalore after they relit the great forge. They don’t need the dark saber and they know it and I believe the creators understand it. That is the whole reason for Bo Katan saying “no mandalorians are stronger together “. It is gone just like Gideon. I trust Filoni and Favreau learned from the last Jedi mistakes and know when to kill things off.

As compared to later scenes of him activating it, where he immediately began to have difficulty. It seems his knowledge of the blades meaning/history made it more difficult to use. As he likely felt unworthy of being Mandalor.

And Bo-Katan is glad it’s gone-that blade was used to kill her sister. She’s glad it’s gone. Can you all even imagine the immense sorrow connected to that blade for Bo-Katan? How heavy it must have been for her to carry and wield it? It looked like she did not struggle, but the personal mental struggle to get to that point took YEARS.

Whenever we get another season of Mandolorean i believe we will have several plotlines happening. Grogus plotline will likely involve him earning the right to the darksaber crystal to make himself a new darksaber. Maybe Din will get him some Beskar to make some of the materials for it. Another plotline will be Bo Katan's trying to keep the Mandolorean factions together without the symbol of the Darksaber, as we know that she had failed at that before, the Darksaber in her possession was what it took to gain their allyship but with that gone she's in for some serious troubles. Din Djarin will likely also play a role in both plotlines as he swore fealty to Bo Katan and also wants to help his son. It's likely these plotlines converge resulting in Bo Katan and Din Grogu at odds with each other over the darksaber.
