Hi, I've a dynamite 30A ESC (DYNM3860_MULTI_30A_Brushless_Marine_WaterproofESC) in my old Proboat boat. It's time to replace the old noise motor. Do you think it will work nicely with the 3450kV Supass Rocket 2948 motor if I keep using the 30A ECS. I don't need it to go superfast (half of the max speed is fine). I don't like it to run crazy in the water. Thanks for your or anyone's advice.
Hay B..we do that too... 😂...Well if the kit ever gets here we are doing a rigger build..so with that said we do have the proboat veles... However not likeing all the role overs with it .uugg...you no what I mean.. 😂..so we are going to take all it's guts and put it in a rigger..now the big question is battery packs...it runs 2...so been looking into running 1 pack at 22 volts for this build..and makes me think about the other boats we have.....weight...less weight..you no what I mean...just putting it out there..love your videos iron clad baby..all the way... ❤️...
have you ever compared quality between a leapard and a surpass rocket motor...Also surpass car motor is also water proof...Any difference between quality rocket and car motor... i ask because i was thinking about picking up another motor ...thanks
Hi sir, have you experienced any problem on using 90A esc for that motor? Because i also have that motor and i want to pair it with my 90A flycolor esc for my 27" mono hull boat
I've been looking at the Jae 26, well I've been looking at the 33 as well, Nice kits. I wish zipkits had a z strut small enough for this shrimp rigger.
Interesting sound test of those motors Big B. I guess what it's doing is letting us hear the difference between higher and lower rpm 👍 So all things being equal (which they never are if course) you've got the difference between 15k rpm (Leopeard) and 29.6k rpm (4000 kV) with the 3400 somewhere between on 2S. On 3S you're hearing 22.7k rpm (Leopard) to 44.4k rpm (4000 kV). So the big question is what is the 'ideal' rpm? Most opinion is in the range of 33-36k rpm to get optimum running and temps. But as we know, with so many variables it's never as simple as that! 😉 Thanks for this interesting test brother 👊
I had a comment asking if you could really tell a difference from kv to kv in a brushless motor, or is it just a marketing gimmick! 🤔 only way I knew how to answer the question with out breaking out the calculator was to do a sound test. I don't have a rpm sensor and I hate math lol. The Difference between each motor was very distinct glad you liked the video it was a spur of the moment deal. A quickie
my boat is 70cm long, weighs 2 pounds, I use a 3s 2.2 battery at constant 35c, and 70c peak, to reach 65 m/ph which motor to use? 2958 4950kv, or 3660 3250kv? the propeller I use is a 30 mm one, but I can change it for one like your boat, the red aluminum one. thank you in advance, thank you
@@IRONCLADRC thanks for the help, I'm doing another project, in this case it's a boat with 140 cm in length, weighs 10 pounds, the intention would be to use 2 3680 motors of 2000w 1500kv with two 6s batteries for each esc, the propeller would be two of 45 mm , do you think this configuration is good?
4000 on 3s has to many rpms...you have all sorts of issues, Cf props usually break appart mid 30,000's for me..i really love the Graupner Cf props on most of my boats..great for finding the ideal size if you want to go metal also.. ...i read rpms for race boats should be between 30000 and 40000 rpms
The math is pretty simple but i think many get it wrong ...all my 3s batteries are over 12volts at full charge and my 4s are close to 16 volts... so in truth 15.5 times 3200kv = 49600 rpms....3s 12x 3200 = 38400 rpms
Thank you so much for the videos. I didn’t realize what an RPM difference the KV’s made. Your videos help us so much
Love the video. I just put a rocket 4000kv in my blackjack 24 and yes it will fit. Ran it today and wow!!!
That's a strong motor. I had one in my 24, was getting 59 60mph maximum speed. Keep an eye on temps.
@@IRONCLADRC what prop were you using
Tfl 438
Those Rocket motors are fantastic, I have the 3670 2280kv in mine and it's a beast! They are so nice for the price.
I agree affordable with plenty of power
Anyone have the rocket esc programming data (70) mine has something like 12 selections
I use 4s 2968-3400kv battery, it's good fun. 🤗🤗🤗
(I really like this video) 👍👍
All Right First 👍🤪😎 💯👍💯🙏

Good info , man what a difference! Piss poor day if you don't learn something new 😂 thanks B!!!
Big like to see you my dear friend big ❤️

3400kv is good with the 90a in my 22-24inch boats, the 4000kv version almost needs 120a, especially in a larger hull.
Thank you :-)
Sis, if I use a 2670 1850 kv rocket motor, does it fit or not
How much size bearing motor 2968?
I’m building a Jae21 (33”) right now

@UCTd2d_eXhatuyc84lwgoP1Q heck yeah, will check it out! Thanks!
You know how long the stators are in the 3670/3680 or where I can find me information
Rocket motors
I only ha e the 29 and 40 series rocket motors. Wish I could help
Hi sir,can i ask a question? My motor is 3800kv rockets then my ESC is 90A then i use a 3s lipo battery,is it okay to full trigger and long runs?
Oh yea I've run that set up on a couple boats now it'll take 3s..
@@IRONCLADRC ahh so it's all fine sir? They can't burn or something else on my parts?
Ironclad, what prop should I put on to my 3400kv brushless motor?
Depends on what type boat you have it it? Hydro, Cat, mono etc
@@IRONCLADRC How about a 620mm mono
do you think motor 2968 4000kv can be used with 4s lipo battery ? in specification max Volt for this motor is 15V
I run it on 4s all the time with a light boat, if your boat is heavy then I'd stick with 3s.
@@IRONCLADRC thanks for information :) what you mean about light boat? Now i only have shrimp rigger.
I use 4000kv / flycolor 90a n 5200lipo with 38mm propeller is burning my wire maybe I’m not. Good for soldering 😅
Which one recommend for speed rc boat?
Depends on the overall weight of the boat.

I'd go with the 3660 size and 2600kv for a fast and reliable setup

whats faster on 2s.... 3660 3800kv or 3665 3500kv ?
I would think the 3800kv per volt would be faster
COOL
What size is that rigger?
18" long 17" wide.

ANOTHER QUESTION ANSERD THANKS
We run the rocket 4000 in a 17" hydro..fast and aggressive..
Holy cow I be that thing screams. Little 🚀 rocket!
Would this play to rc cars or trucks and not juet boats? That 4000 oh boy
Basically yes
3660 /3250kv
Flycolour 90a
I use 4s 100c is safe or not burn ?
.
Or what (kv) 3660 motor good for 4s 80/100c lipo?
2600kv X 14v = 36,000 rpm
3250kv X 14v = 45,500rpm
Bearings sound not so good
The 2050 has a bent shaft it's probably 8 years old. The other 2 motors are brand new
Sorry
