      You obviously need a lot more distracting music and ugly stock footage. it's too easy to focus on dr peterson.
      At least you f-cked up the audio levels though; digital clipping sounds great.

    I thought this video was going to be about living up to (or rather, not quite) the expectations of others and what someone might say a person 'should' do with their life, specifically, judging by the title - but that whole 70-30 strategy/line is very positive thinking + the 'problem' chat, and the community of 'selves'. Liked, to come back to.

    Solving problems when everyone is against you? My child is brighter than me, but some believe that he's not a priority? Then what is? You don't kick someone down, you help especially since all those issues can be resolved with just a little help!

  • @Nicoladen1
    @Nicoladen1 ปีที่แล้ว

    But if you value problems and their overcoming as meaningful only because problems make us unhappy, then you're still valuing happiness over the lack there of. You're valuing meaning over the lack there of, out of a desire for happiness as projected onto meaning and the solving of problems.
    Just because we make things more complex don't mean the fundamental behavior isn't the same it's always been. We never do grow up but distant

    4:00 I was with this lady and I didnt mind when she went to clubs with the girls. I also didn't give her crap about the revealing clothing she wore(or I purchaced) I always called her beautiful and complemented her. Always said communication is key to a relationship. She stayed with me for 2 years and then moved out a good few months before lockdown saying that she missed her mom. We still spoke and saw eachother. A while later I found one of her books in my cuboard. She wrote a note in it saying that, It was not like the fantasy she hoped it would be. She was still ok with asking me for money to pay some bills, and keeping me on a string (we were engaged after all) After some time a mutual friend of ours informed me that she was speaking to three separate men, talking about laying next to each other in bed and what have you, and that she had been single for about as long as it was since she had moved out...
    Moral of the story, people are still going to do what they want, even if you don't hound them on where they were and who they were with... When the fantasy fades, people move on. Maybe I was not interesting enough, that could be possible, but I did my best at the time so no complaints from me I suppose.

    That last part about a "community of selves" and acting in a way that is best for that community is like when Dwight let Pam win so that he could "benefit from her profits for years to come". She won. He won. In the end, everyone smiled ❤

    You can just give me the main points and I will do the rest. Please and thank you.

    Being good as a strategy, as the end justifies the needs, is not actually being good at all. Choosing to be good as a way of authentic expression in this world without any return except knowing that what you did is good - that's real goodness (and godliness).
