By chance het told in an interview, he stumbled into a rehearsal of her "Bang Bang" and he told his co-judges and friends, "folks we got a real genius here". Even "Gloomy Sunday" was arranged by her. She was 7 yo for the 1st performance but turned 8 for the last 3 & the competition occurred over a 6 month period. Unfortunately this all in one video doesn't have the judges comments that the individual videos have, because I've never heard the praise like she got on any other talent show The judges were gobsmacked!
Honestly, it was obvious how the judges were blown away by her- no words necessary! I felt like they were feeling exactly as I did watching and listening to her. I can only imagine the praise they had!

Usually that kind of thing makes me roll my eyes. In her case, though, I found I totally agreed with everything they said. (And they were actually very incisive comments, not just "empty praise".)

We always appreciate a reactor who takes the time to read comments and do research. Of course obviously Angelina means little angel but also she wrote a song "Shield" which has the line "surround me with angels" so her fans are very protective, sometimes a bit over the top. But her fans are like extended family. What you will find is that Angelina has worked diligently to improve her craft and artistry for over 10 years. She always sings "from the heart" as she says and never stops thanking her loyal fans. There is an interview after NGT where she says she is giving her winnings to charitable causes. This is a little genius with a huge heart.

She's also a beautiful angel - the reason she performs barefoot is because when she was 6 she gave her shoes to a 3rd world child who had no shoes and Angelina vowed she'd sing with no shoes until every poor child in the world had shoes. She's lived up to that and a great deal of her performance money supports many charities. Truly an angel. A barefoot princess with a hypnotic voice. Angelina Summertime (George Gershwin song) was based on Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong version. There's some 'blue notes' here. This early performance of "Summertime" was so impressive. I loved it. Her first audition on the show of "gloomy Sunday" by Billie Holiday was the one that made people's head's snap back in her direction, first catching the attention of an international audience. But her second one, another Billie Holiday song, was impossibly done acapella (with no music) and all her competitors standing just behind her, showing on stage she has no nerves. She pretty much left everyone speechless. The next one I think, "Bang Bang", let everyone know she was not limited to old school jazz. She is one of the most versatile singers in the world. So many wonderful covers and originals. She's not scared of tackling complex songs from top artists.

Bill, what is so defining most of us have seen this, I'm guessing well over a thousand times and you know what? We continue to get emotional each time we watch it. Her voice touches our souls and our souls cannot get enough. As you continue on her journey, besides her magical, soulful voice always with a touch of jazz, you will begin to see and understand it's also 'who she is' as a humble, kind, caring and loving human being and all of that comes through in her voice when she sings 'for us'. Yes, in reality she is singing 'for us'. Once, when asked about why she never seems nervous when she is performing in front of so many people, her reply was, "I'm most comfortable in my life when I am on stage singing for people. Of course she is singing to us but it's more than that and I know you've already figured that one out. Did she know the affect she had on people when she was so young (7 and 8 years old!)? Once, an older woman came up to Angelina and told her she was making her cry. Angelina apologized but the woman told her, 'No, you don't have to apologize", and the woman gave Angelina a big hug.

Angelina has always honored the great artist that came before her. She has done tributes to Freddy mercury, Whitney,Aretha Franklin just to name a few. Angelina is a once in a lifetime artist and personality. Please go back and listen to the judges comments. They really left no stone unturned and said what had to be said. I do not know if you can find the behind the scene shot. She's wiggling a bit at the head of a large conference table as all the grown ups are discussing how they should do it. In a pause she turns to her accompanist and sings how she thinks he should come in and the whole room is deathly quiet. That's when musicians start calling her the boss.

Hi Bill, every time I read a reactor reacted to "All performances..." I would like to enter a time machine and shout to him "NO - don't do it......." "Angelina Jordan All Performances On Norways Got Talent". I don't know which intention the channel "TALENTKINGHD" has, to edit this video like it is… unfortunately the material was not the best. Yes - all the performances from NGT are fantastic and worth to be reacted to... but I think it's better to react to each separated, because in the mix with all in one video is too much cut out: Also watch out which version you take: E.G. from "I'm a fool to want you" which AJ sings a capella there is a shorter version because there are 54 seconds cut out (and "TALENTKINGHD" has taken this bad version). And these 54 seconds are so good - even with speaking in - but the good thing of this version is, that you can't hear that there is something missing: AJ hit exactly the notes even after nearly a minute... Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina replied, whenever she goes on stage to sing, she will be barefoot to remind her of her new friend, and all other children like her. Angelina never learned the orphan's name but called her Princess. The orphan girl replied, "princesses live in castles, we live in ruins". Angelina titled her song about this story, "Princess of Ruins". Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. Angelina reaches out and embraces you with the first note out of her mouth. Listen to her a few times and you become addicted to the effect she has on you as she invites you into her world of song and for a time---you get to leave all your troubles and stress behind as they cannot exist in the place she takes you to.
I give you some advice. The order does not matter. Angelina’s age does not matter. The genre does not matter. The title does not matter. You can throw a dart at Angelina’s song list, and wherever it lands, you’ll be amazed. I found Angelina about six years ago. Since that time, I’ve listened to her everyday. Bill, sir, the young judge is Omer Bhati, the former protege of a certain Mr. Michael Jackson. By chance het told in an interview, he stumbled into a rehearsal of her "Bang Bang" and he told his co-judges and friends, "folks we got a real genius here". Even "Gloomy Sunday" was arranged by her. Omer is a fast friend to her and her family. He introduced her to the Jacksons. On Miss Angelinas 17th birthday most of the Jackson ladies came by and congratulated her.

She was 7 yo for the 1st performance but turned 8 for the last 3 & the competition occurred over a 6 month period. Unfortunately this all in one video doesn't have the judges comments that the individual videos have, because I've never heard the praise like she got on any other talent show The judges were gobsmacked!
Honestly, it was obvious how the judges were blown away by her- no words necessary! I felt like they were feeling exactly as I did watching and listening to her. I can only imagine the praise they had!
@@BemusingBill Just to underscore what Keith said, I've never heard as high praise for a young singer on a TV talent show as they gave Angelina, round after round. Usually that kind of thing makes me roll my eyes. In her case, though, I found I totally agreed with everything they said. (And they were actually very incisive comments, not just "empty praise".)
Angelina is our Internet Baby, we are pround grandparents, aunts ,uncles etc. We love her so much. I subbed for Angelina and that great big symbol sign for my man Prince💜💜💜 I'm 66 years old and she makes everyday special no matter her age.

We always appreciate a reactor who takes the time to read comments and do research. Of course obviously Angelina means little angel but also she wrote a song "Shield" which has the line "surround me with angels" so her fans are very protective, sometimes a bit over the top. But her fans are like extended family. What you will find is that Angelina has worked diligently to improve her craft and artistry for over 10 years. She always sings "from the heart" as she says and never stops thanking her loyal fans. There is an interview after NGT where she says she is giving her winnings to charitable causes. This is a little genius with a huge heart.

In addition to the 150+ covers Angelina has sung over the years of her career (almost all of which are her own arrangements) - she has also been writing songs since she was 10 years 0ld - So far 13 have been released: Oslo, What is Life?, Shield, Million Miles, 7th Heaven, Love Don't Let Me Go, Now I'm The Fool, Fire and Rain, All My Fault, Good in Goodbyes, Diamond, Our Time, and Bad Valentine. Angelina has stated that she has written about 100 songs that have yet to be released. Her songs are taken from her Journal writings. When she was 10/11 she rewrote the Lyrics to Amy Winehouse's Back to Black and Rehab to make them more age appropriate at that time. In addition, Angelina performed an unreleased original song Princess of Ruins that she has only performed in concert - if and when that is officially released it will be her 14th original. She also performed two more original unreleased songs at her Los Angeles concert: Thank You and What Am I To You?

The blond woman is her mother Sara, and the one holding the two signs is Angelina's major influence her grandmother Mery, the other holding a sign with a star is her great grandmother with other family members in the audience of the last performance. Angelina has over 200 cover songs and has 16 originals with another 100 or so from various concerts. You will certainly love everything she does, she is amazing. She's also a beautiful angel - the reason she performs barefoot is because when she was 6 she gave her shoes to a 3rd world child who had no shoes and Angelina vowed she'd sing with no shoes until every poor child in the world had shoes. She's lived up to that and a great deal of her performance money supports many charities. Truly an angel. This early performance of "Summertime" was so impressive. I loved it. Her first audition on the show of "gloomy Sunday" by Billie Holiday was the one that made people's head's snap back in her direction, first catching the attention of an international audience. But her second one, another Billie Holiday song, was impossibly done acapella (with no music) and all her competitors standing just behind her, showing on stage she has no nerves. She pretty much left everyone speechless. The next one I think, "Bang Bang", let everyone know she was not limited to old school jazz. She is one of the most versatile singers in the world. So many wonderful covers and originals. She's not scared of tackling complex songs from top artists.

Bill, what is so defining most of us have seen this, I'm guessing well over a thousand times and you know what? We continue to get emotional each time we watch it. Her voice touches our souls and our souls cannot get enough. As you continue on her journey, besides her magical, soulful voice always with a touch of jazz, you will begin to see and understand it's also 'who she is' as a humble, kind, caring and loving human being and all of that comes through in her voice when she sings 'for us'. Yes, in reality she is singing 'for us'. Once, when asked about why she never seems nervous when she is performing in front of so many people, her reply was, "I'm most comfortable in my life when I am on stage singing for people. Of course she is singing to us but it's more than that and I know you've already figured that one out. Did she know the affect she had on people when she was so young (7 and 8 years old!)? Once, an older woman came up to Angelina and told her she was making her cry. Angelina apologized but the woman told her, 'No, you don't have to apologize", and the woman gave Angelina a big hug.

I do not know if you can find the behind the scene shot. She's wiggling a bit at the head of a large conference table as all the grown ups are discussing how they should do it. In a pause she turns to her accompanist and sings how she thinks he should come in and the whole room is deathly quiet. That's when musicians start calling her the boss.

every time I read a reactor reacted to "All performances..." I would like to enter a time machine and shout to him "NO - don't do it......."
"Angelina Jordan All Performances On Norways Got Talent". I don't know which intention the channel "TALENTKINGHD" has, to edit this video like it is… unfortunately the material was not the best.
Yes - all the performances from NGT are fantastic and worth to be reacted to... but I think it's better to react to each separated, because in the mix with all in one video is too much cut out: Also watch out which version you take: E.G. from "I'm a fool to want you" which AJ sings a capella there is a shorter version because there are 54 seconds cut out (and "TALENTKINGHD" has taken this bad version). And these 54 seconds are so good - even with speaking in - but the good thing of this version is, that you can't hear that there is something missing: AJ hit exactly the notes even after nearly a minute... So I would recommend to react to videos from Angelinas own channels and channels from real "superfans" like "Boris Palenovski", "pa1189w", "Sune Amtoft", "Gustavo De Yermo y Parres", "John Kjetil Johannessen", and some others…
Mostly channels which posts videos from many different artists are not so good in choosing the best for Angelina Jordan ;-) …

*Why Angelina always performs barefoot*
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes.
Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina replied, whenever she goes on stage to sing, she will be barefoot to remind her of her new friend, and all other children like her.
Angelina never learned the orphan's name but called her Princess. The orphan girl replied, "princesses live in castles, we live in ruins". Angelina titled her song about this story, "Princess of Ruins".
Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East.
