  • The 2020 BBQ Experience Reimagined featured our Shea Center Rider Story about Juliette and her sisters Brooklyn and Savannah. These sisters benefit from multiple therapies including Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy on our horses utilizing hippotherapy. The equine movement is essential to build their confidence, gross and fine motor skills, postural control, and coordination at The Shea Center. In this video, Juliette’s mom highlights the multitude of benefits many clients experience when engaged in PT OT and SLP using equine movement with hippotherapy. Since starting therapy, Juliette now has improved body awareness and single leg balance to step over obstacles. She has also demonstrated improved independence with dressing herself.
