Hi and thanks for a great video. You have a lot of staghorn algae, but i have read there isn't anything that eat's this. Did you mechanically remove this yourself or did the shrimp develop a taste for it ? i had to lower my dosage of iron to get rid of it.
Hi Craig. I only ever used co2 in the tank and it was when it ran out that the algea came. The amano and nerites cleaned out the tank of all algea in about 2 weeks. I atill have algea that come back from time to time but that is caused by me runni g almost 24h lights on the tank. Amano and Nerite will clean out most (all of them I had to deal with) types of algea. I would, if it is needed help the amano by spot dosing hydrogen peroxide. The rule is to limit or never *feed amano. They are there to eat algea 🦐❤
Hi Florida Pilot. Amano is baie aggressive eeters. Slefde as n oto n baba shrimp sal eet. As jy meer vrae het stuur my n boodskap op FB of op een van die whatsapp groepe.
Thanks for a great posting. Question, a breeder i know will not keep these with his Neocaridina because he saw an Amano attack and try to eat a healthy cherry shrimp. Have you any experience with this behavior ?
Hi Craig. I have never seen them do it myself but have also heard a similar story. What I can say is that they are very aggressive eaters. So if you have or plan to have them in the same tank, you will have to put in food at different places in the tank so they dont get aggressive towards other adult or baby shrimp. They are an better option in bigger tanks. And if you put them together I would say 3-5 for a 2 foot tank is more than ok.
nice job, thank you!
excelente bro, i did really enjoy your content
personally i love how they look, and their personality
Very informative and a much needed video for prospective buyers. We've seen too many fake Amanos recently. Welcome back too!

Are Armono and Gost shrimp the same thing?
How do these compare to the Siamese Algae Eater?
nerite snails leave the darn eggs all over though, do you just scrape the eggs away? seems easier to scrape the alge lol
WOW thanks OMG I love it 🥰🧜♀️🦐💖☯️🌟
Kan ek Amano's saam met my Crystal Reds hou, en sal die klein CRS nie geet word nie? Dankie !
