My 7yr old loves movies. I can only hope that in 30years he can say I remember watching Sonic with my dad, tmnt mutant mayhem, ghostbusters, inside out in theatres and so on.
what surprises me the most is that Sony hasn't released Das Boot on 4k yet. And a lot of people don't seem to give it much love either 😳

Have you watched any of the Reacher series? My wife got into last year and I saw a few episodes. Just bought both seasons on 4K and we watched over the past weekend. Great show and looking forward to season 3.

Man, why are adding to this rubbish narrative. Your Channel is better than that. You know it’s not the end of physical media. Sony just signed a deal to distribute Disney’s catalogue. Ending rewritable discs is bound to happen because nobody uses them, even still, there are other companies making them. Don’t throw in with the trash doom-sayer TH-camrs. It ain’t you.

Finally, in other news today, our friends at Media Play News have just reported exactly what we’ve been saying on social media over the weekend, which is that Sony’s recent announcement (last week on 1/23) that they were ending production of recordable Blu-ray Disc media (as well as MiniDiscs and MiniDV cassettes) in February has nothing to do with Blu-ray Disc production overall-this is happening only in Japan and not globally. Blank media has long been a huge business in Japan, where people often record their favorite TV shows on BD-R discs. But streaming has really reduced the demand for this. No other aspects of Sony’s Blu-ray business are impacted. So all of you can relax; Sony is not getting out of the Blu-ray business.

As for where discs are coming from, I am seeing more and more that are coming from Germany.
As for sony stopping making re write able discs. They only make 18% of them worldwide. It may actually benefit physical media by kerbing bootleggers. Bootleg copies equate to 66% of all physical media sold worldwide. It may also help sony better manage the new distribution deal with disney re- purposing funds materials to manufacture those titles. If it ever did come to a point when new titles aren't made anymore. there are over 300,000 titles that already exist to buy/watch between dvd/bluray/4k. There is literally more physical media that already exists that one person could ever watch in a lifetime.
You spread misinformation with the headline and thumbnail and contribute to the fud. Most people will see the thumbnail and title and not watch your 2 hour video where you 'discuss the truth'. This is what youtube has devolved into, misleading headlines and thumbnails to get clicks. Maybe next time a larger picture of your mug with a more bug-eyed panicked face and add the tried and true leader....'IT"S OVER!!!'

Netflix have a lot of money to spend on promoting for your consideration for awards that’s why Emilia Perez is there in the first place. It’s about money not merits.
I have not bought any of the Columbia Classic sets as they are a waste of money for me. There is only 1 title in each set that I want. If they were to do more, I would look at some TriStar pictures.Short Circuit, Iron Eagle, Runaway (Tom Selleck & Gene Simmons), The Principle and Blind Fury. Would love to see them get some 4K love.

(Probably a hot take. If you enjoyed these movies great im happy for you but i didnt.) Don't get the hype for anora. It's just pretty woman except in this version richard geres Russian parents turn up bring him to his senses and kick the hoe to the kerb at the end. The first hour is literally just porn. Emilia perez is a joke. There are movies with higher ratings being nominated for razzies. brutalist is good but the ai stuff makes it ineligible in my eyes. They used ai to fix the actors performances thats just a slippery slope. Substance was too weird for me but I get why horror folks like it. Dune looked pretty but that story has always been drab. Haven't seen the Dylan movie yet. Conclave was fine good perfomances until the sex crap at the end spoiled it. Wicked was meh my neices liked it not my cup of tea. Haven't seen nickel boys or I'm still here yet.

Received my copy, finally, of "The Primevals" 3 Blu-ray Slip case edition (btw, it's thin white board w/ the 3 discs in keep cases). The "Lost In Time" documentary is a Ballyhoo Video production and is worth the price of admission alone. Runs 45+ plus minutes, it's narrated by Jeffery Combs and is a great deep dive on the origin and complicated, near 50 history of the film's production. It's accompanied on that disc by a swak-load of other really cool extras. "The David Allen Cut "of the feature which utilized well drawn still frames and animatics based on Allen's concept art, to fill in the gaps of what he couldn't stop-motion animate (approx 7 minutes of new footage) before he passed away. So glad Full Moon decided to release this package even though I got double dipped on the Standard Ed. single disc back in September. ... Highly recommended!
