I have both those lenses for my a7II, and they are perfectly adequate for almost any amateur photographer. I have a few other lenses, but I still use these two quite often.
Patrick, absolutely agree. You can get away with a lot with these 2 lenses. The cost compared to performance of these are amazing. Thanks for watching 📸
@@liahonafrench yeah, there isnt big differences when shooting video if you compare it with sigma/tamron 24(28)-70(75), but big difference on price.and its the smallest, gimbal friendly zoom lens.
@@LeonMTan Amazing! I was exactly wondering between those two! I've read that the Tamron one is weather sealed though and has a fixed aperture. But I am not enough of a pro to know about those yet. So, just starting out (for interview settings mostly) I will go with the Sony lens.
I use the sony zv-e10 and on a hard budget myself. I take the crop sensor aspect into it as well just seeing how well it works with shooting 4k videos with if you know.
Same gear here: A73, that exact ‘cage’, the kit lens and the nifty-fifty! And more recently a 200-600 🔭 But yep, kit lens for video using the OSS or wider photos or just the 50mm for a decent boukeh’ed portrait photo! :) People will really have some fun with these two! 💪🏻
My camera brother! 😂 so happy you are enjoying this gear as well. It’s also so nice to be shooting with gear that isn’t exactly top of the line. You can do so much with so little if you put your mind to it! Thank you for commenting and happy shooting! 📸
My new A7iv came with that 28-70 kit lens and honestly I think I can for-go spending $700 on a Tamron 24-75. Already have a 24mm GM. I’m happy to have that Sony 28-70👍🏼
Hey 😊 It’s fantastic for videography. If you’re doing handheld work the stabilization is great. If you’re using a tripod, even better. You can shoot 4k and get very solid results. It’s not too of the line of course but I’ve used it to shoot music videos and documentary work. 👌
Hey! Sony FE 50mm F1.8 covers the APS-C sensor of the Sony A6000 and provides an effective focal range of 75 mm. It is still a great lens even if used for an A6000 😎
Hey! Yes, that camera is an E-mount and the lens will fit. 😊 I found it to be great for video and I think it would suit your needs if your doing some vlogging! Thanks for watching 📸
Thanks for sharing! The lens is but my Sony A7iii camera alone isn’t waterproof or weather sealed. It’s only resistant meaning that it can withstand small amounts of water, but too much will damage it.
It`s a dismal lens. If you don`want your photo`s to be nice and cheery use this. It`s boring, flat and lifeless. The colors are hard and artificial. Impossible to correct in post. Never buy it, it` not eve worth the 100 bucks it goes for second hand.
@@horiabodeanu7641 So you are claiming that the pack of glass in front of the sensor doesn`t influence the colors read by the sensor. You make me laugh man. Because that`s ridicilous. Besides there is also something like lens coating, but you will not be able to see that too. You`re probably blind.
Just picked up this lens in a bundle with an a6100 - this was great to get me prepared for what’s to come! Thanks for the quick hit list!
Great purchase! Happy to help 🙏

Thanks. I have A7iii with 85mm. Wondering if to buy. I think I am going to pick one.
I am an enthusiast.
Just ordered . New to this and also getting an a7iii.
Thanks for the advice !
Hey what sony lens would you recommend for safari and landscape photography? Thanks for your video!
Excellent review! Succinct and right on point.
This lens is surprisingly good for video, its small and good on gimbal you dont need to rebalance after zoom in.
Absolutely! Not the highest quality but definitely can do some serious work 😊 Thanks for checking the video out!
Thanks! I was looking to know if it was good for videos, so your comment helped me out

The 4k looks wonderful, as well! I’ve been shooting 4k with it for awhile and I’m very pleased with the results 👌
I have the Sigma 24-70 but it stinks doing videos handheld. I want this lens in the video because of the OSS. I am using a a6400.
Great vid, just what I needed, thanks

Do you think the A7III is still a good buy for being 6 years old? I’m looking into the IV but I’d like to save some money.
I just found one for $100. I felt like the luckiest guy in the world. Thanks for the video.
what Sony lens do you recommend for food photography ?
Hey! I would suggest the Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS Lens
Nice but how about recording clips???
And Content production??
It can do both! It’s a great all around lens option 😎
youre awesome man, thanks

The 24-75 is 🔥. Great lenses all around for Sony
700?? Jesus, they sell for 150-200 in used market and I wouldn't pay more than that for them but for that price they're a steal.
I'm looking at getting an A7iii for videography -- any idea how well this lens would function in a video capacity?

Hey sir.. Let me ask. This lens are good for a6000?
In any events?

where's your review for a7iii?
Ahhhh been planning that one for awhile. I think 2024 is the year, thanks for watching
Thank you. 👍🏻
Thanks for watching and have fun shooting ✌️
$150? Bro wtf cheapest in my country is €1500
Hey is this lens good for my Sony Zve 10? I have the Zve 10 kit lens as well btw

I just buy this lens for 35!!😲😁😁😁😁

It's perfectly adequate. The best lens in the world is the one you have with you
colors are read by the sensor, not by the lens but you should go to a light physics class after making these assumptions
