I agree. She can observe something that other's don't (not can't) because she is self assured. People who are self assured due to 3 conditions - 1) just self assured regardless of the outside condition, most probably due to innate nature (karmic may be) or spiritual training (without trained in formal way), 2) self assured due to being rich and having everything, 3) self assured due to having survived and/or surviving in bad condition around to the point that you start observing a lot about surrounding due to survival needs and pick the different aspects of humanity from survival instincts cleanly with clarity.

Saving is important in right amount. But it’s is time that now even we need to learn more investment and spending. Circulation of money is important to experience the power of money.
If Indians use our own money in investing in our own country then many companies will not need foreign investments and we can reap benefits ourselves.
Indians needs to learn grom Gujjus 😊

I have studied in India. for 6 Years in Chandigarh, College of Art. Once we had to do some outdoor studies. We landed in a small village. we found a nice spot to make some studies near a lady's house. Earthen floor. Come lunch time she gave each of us a roti baked out of grounded maize/corn. We were about 30 students! And a hearty meal it was. Tears came to my eyes. still do. I will never forget this. told me children about it too. That was 30 years ago. WE respect you India. We love you.

You will be flabbergasted to see the number of small scale industries in these areas. So yes, we do have our fair share of beggars on the streets but we also have millions of good, hardworking entrepreneurs in our slums.

As i was reading the comments... I wanted to share a thing. It is about mentality of ppl around you makes the difference. I have lived in a slum "Baiganwadi" a decade ago when i lost my job and i couldn't pay rent i got thrown out from the place i live (Basically Homeless). My office Security guard took me to his home and let me live with there family for week. I have got job after a week and i barrow few funds from friends back home and life goes on... Imagine if no one cared for me at that time my life will not be the same today. He passed away recently after that i lost touch with his family. But He will and always reminds me every time i am down in life there is always someone who cares for you even if you are a failure.

Exactly. The difference is in India one can see family like ties even among strangers and acquaintances. In much developed society one can see business like ties even among family members.
I am not saying the opposites cannot be seen in the competing societies.
But critical numbers or proportions of the 1st visual will be more in India and 2nd visual more in developed society.
Actually it is not about India as country. It spectrum or scale is of development without spiritual growth or development disconnected from our roots.

The people living in slums are mostly migrants from the villages who come to the cities to earn a living and find regular flats too expensive. But they immediately find work are earn for themselves and try to save money to send it to their families in the villages who may me solely dependant on their earnings. But to give you an example of how cheaply they can live...the room in the slum may be costing them about equivalent to $40-50 per month and good food can be easily had for a similar amount per month. They generally go to visit their families about once or twice a year.
To give you an idea of the quality and price of the food available just see .... The $100/- food challenge by 'The Best Ever Food Review Show'
I will also send you a link to some videos of Americans who came to India's world class health facilities to get treated for complicated health issues at about a tenth of the cost in USA.

@@khushisoam8068 In India anybody can live as cheaply or as expensively as they want. What I have written above is correct. In fact people who work outside the office, like salesmen, couriers, etc. and even many office workers may sometimes not bring home cooked food to work but prefer to just have a couple of 'Vada Pav' which is not only tasty and filling but only costs about equivalent to US$ 0.20 to US$0.25 each at some good eateries in office areas. Indian food is world renowned for taste and affordability. For your information just check out the above cited US$ 100.00 challenge by the Best Ever Food Review Show or innumerable videos on TH-cam if people having street food or restaurant food and giving details about price, taste etc.

The Indian public health insurance covers more than 500 Million people with an insurance cover of around USD 6600..given that quality treatment costs in India is substantially lower than that in the US, the insurance amount covers almost all major diseases. (consider this average cost of a total knee replacement surgery in America is around USD 50,000. Whereas the same treatment in India costs just USD 1,500)

That is more like a trash comment. Every country has problem. One needs to see extent and how spread is the problem. In India there are too many poor and hence by the sheer size, they have a voice; they have been made aware of their political rights and hence elected have learnt to serve them, even if it were to be lip service. So our present “rightist” govt is more leftist than the commies.

There is a concept of “Annadaana” in souther India and “lungars” in Gurudwaras, which is do feed people meals. In big temples like Darmashala Tirupathi and Golden temple Amritsar and many other places as well. Some people donate money, grains and raw food items to these piligrimages on Birthdays and any auspicious days. My mom used to send me to donate a small rice bag to a temple in Bangalore on every Friday. These donations are then used to feed hundreds and thousands of people. This is a good practice in India which helps not only poors but also for example if a traveler is out of money and needs food. Atleast their stomach is full, so one less problem in their life. I feel Annadaana is a really good concept and everyone needs to do there part of donation or service so that there are less hunger issues in any country.

It is extremely educational to compare poverty in India with poverty in the US - and Indians are doing so much better than US 'non-citizens'. I think India is a society as a whole, whereas the US is a 'fragmented something'. This is a video one does not see every day. Bravo! Excellent work!

1.This is the reason, we have different caste categories added in Indian Constitution to uplift poor people
    2. In India people get subsidies in food and health sector based on their income also for education and reserved vacant seats for job in government services.
    1. "Caste categories"(written in constitution of India) are for reservation of seats in jobs and education.
    2. "subsidies"(ie. concession on prices given by government) are for poor( low income) who can be from caste system or without any caste category(ie. Open)

The point about India having a "layered" structure of lifestyle across different budgets was a really interesting and a valid point that I hadn't really thought about before lol.
You can maintain a family of 3 by either living off earning less than ₹5000 a month or live a more "lavish" life by earning millions. Regardless of being satisfied or not, but both cases are possible here.

  • @hpulkit1
    @hpulkit1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

The thing is everyone has problem...now how to solve it innovatively is the key... We know here many people cannot afford expensive food...and food is expensive because of many reasons like real estate cost, resource cost....so an innovative way is to make food by family members so no resources needed and sell it on cart.. so no real estate cost... Thus food price comes down...
Similarly, in slums people find new ways to tackle their problem... Like having more kids so that they can work in some tea shop or food shop as a cleaner and it may be less.. but if a family of 5 and everyone earns small amount eventually they get considerable amount to survive... Most of them are daily wage worker...they earn during the day and spend during night..
and big big difference is.. US is an spending economy... Meaning one has to keep spending money...they live from paycheck to paycheck Whereas India is a saving economy.. our basic teaching is.. eat 1 chapati less but try to save that money...and use that money for their kids future.. in US that culture is not there...
One example is..my driver takes only 2/3rd of his salary as cash.. remaining I submit in his account so that he can use it for his son's education as he does not want his son to be a driver..he wants his son to be some high ranking govt officials

People don't have much money here but when everybody is not so much rich that means all people are equal
Earlyer people on the street start beging but right now I don't see any begers usually what happen on traffic signal people will come show you some items and we whould buy by just giving 2..3..or5rupee extra so here people help without giving beging that's more self respect full I think ...one more thing if even people don't have money no one goes hungry all religions place are open to feed ...in my city varanasi

    • @VS-ls2mi

I know right!! When I was a kid, I used to see people begging on traffic light junctions but now they sell those pens or small car accessories or even clean the vehicle for an amount. There is a very old lady near my college selling those super long pens on the road and people stop and buy from her and even pay extra for the pen. That's because everyone appreciates her hard work instead of begging. People always hand the money to their little kids and make them directly buy from her so that they can understand to respect the poor seller instead of those who simply beg.

Every country have problems buts it's just our culture in which we are taught from our childhood "together we stand divided we fall" second "money don't gives happiness and everyone have god inside them which makes us more good in behaviour to each other"
It's just western people see our problems because we speak about them loudly and oppose govt at any level and we don't tell anyone what's good in our country we fight for every problem and try to cure them with togetherness opposing govt.
