Super duper review Scaberoo! I’ve had the opportunity to use my buddies Apocalypse. It is beautiful with literally perfect fit and finish but it’s actual performance was nothing special in my opinion to make it worth the money.
@@bobhabsolute4995 that’s the age old question brother. What is the perfect knife? The answer is different for everyone. Personally, I am a fan of Bark River for all their blades but especially their big ones. I am more a fan of carbon steel over stainless.
Full convex and full flat with a secondary convex bevel are my two favorite grind for big knives, so Bark River makes sens. Yet, I think I will have to go custom to find a big thin knife able to do what a big fat knife is able to do because, yes, I like a slicer. Which big B.R. do you prefer (Bravo 1.5, 2, 3; kalahari 1,2; pig sticker, crusader, etc)?

He is a fellow TH-camr in Nevada. He will work with you to make whatever you want and his knives are most importantly incredible but also reasonably priced.

Awesome review that knife is just built for doing anything you want. Little out of my budget but from the testing it would be well worth the money. Keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable
This knife is amazing. Own one and I also own the previous Apocalypse model. It's a bit smaller both in size and weight (and steel - m390) but still have the same design/feel. TRC have some of the best knife designs/models out there. Worth it imo. Highly recommended! Check out the M1/Mille Cuori model also if you want a more militarized model. Impressive stuff.
One thing people don't consider is this, if you don't use your "survival knife" for daily tasks or just whatever you may not know it well enough when you actually need it to survive!

I love my apocalypse and south pole trc knives. These truly in my opinion are probably the best choice for a camp/survival type of knife.
