And am in the hospital worrying about my sons family's and friends in Jamaica i was so depressed sitting here thinking about this storm. I’ve lived in Florida for 4 decades, I’ve been apart of every category hurricane and lived through Cat 5 Hurricane Andrew
This is no joke what Jamaica is about to go through
It will become ground zero
No power, food, shelter, and it will be very difficult to get help
We are talking months and months of this
Look out for children, animals, elderly, disabled, sick, in despair
THIS IS A LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION
STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS AND OUTDOORS
HAVE FLASHLIGHTS AND BATTERIES
WATER AND CANNED FOODS
HAVE A LOADED WEAPON AND AMO (the looting will be out of control)
DO NOT GO ANYWHERE AT NIGHT

Jamaicans do yourself a favor. Watch video of the hurricane passing over other islands. All video I watched looked like a warzone. Every piece of land was flattened by the storm. Trees snapped like twigs. Roofs and power lines gone. Many homes crumbled. The winds are super strong. So if your home isn’t built tough, evacuated NOW! Go somewhere that has a strong foundation, tied down roof, and is on higher ground! This will probably be one of the worst hurricane’s within the lifetime of many! Think smart and DO NOT romp wid dis hurricane! It will delete you if you play games!

Also search for videos about hurricane Irma 2017, which made land fall on St Maarten. It was no joke, I cried like a grown baby. Ready or not, she came and hoover over us for hours. Even though 95 percent of our inhabitants on St Maarten boarded up and safe guard their homes, the hurricane had other plans. It ripped off hurricane shutters, break concrete, bend steel like it was a PVC pipe. Please listen to your prime minister. And if your home is built from plywood and sink, start packing and move out. Go to the nearest shelter. The ghost sounds and whistles from these storms is unbearable in the dark. The pressure in the house makes your ears pop.
I hate category 4 and 5 hurricanes.
Lives where spared that year, but the trail of destruction was hard to take in. Living conditions change in an instant after the hurricane devastated St Maarten. No matter how much food you stock up in your kitchen. If your roof gets blown away, your food will diminish. We waited for months on international assistance. And it took us years to rebuild our homes.
St Maarten is back on track, but the memories are very hard to delete.
