    I look at shoes like tools and I rotate the shoes I work out in depending on what I'm doing.
    The other day I received comment asking the question, "Do I ever wear running shoes for workouts?" As in, do I wear running shoes for cross-training and lifting workouts that aren't solely running or heavily running.
    In short, yes I do.
    However, there's a spectrum there when it comes to the type of running shoes that I'll use depending on the type of workout.
    Not all running shoes are created equal when it comes to their functionality and that's why I like to have a system in place that I'll use.
    If you've been wondering about using running shoes for some gym workouts versus switching shoes mid workout, hopefully, this video can help shed some light on how to do that productively.

    Also good to wear them sometimes if you're training for hyrox. Speaking of, would love to see a vid on best hyrox shoes.

      @@thatfitfriend I've been thinking about it. I'm not too into competitions with anyone but myself... But we'll see if something opens up here in the twin cities. It's the traveling part that makes it not attractive. I decided to start running before and after HIIT workouts in the meantime.

      Recently picked up the Adidas rapidmove adv 2. Got them after watching the review here.
      They’re the perfect shoe for Hyrox, been doing some simulators with them recently. Highly recommend.

    Great vid Jake. This is exactly what I've been thinking about recently. I got myself the dropset 2's last year based on your videos and was considering the dropset 3 's for my partner as she does bodybuilding style workouts. She however recently started incline treadmill walks so I've been thinking the nano X5 might make more sense?

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  18 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      Nano X5 could work great or at least worth a try if she finds the Dropsets to run too dense!

    Hey Jake,
    I have the reebok nano x3 for lifting sessions and I love the ankle support bc I have wider feet, knee issues and with these they almost disappeared.
    But I also do sprints, HIIT workouts + jumping/combat workout classes and they are too stiff for jumping.
    Do you have any recommendations? I've been thinking about the Puma PWR Nitro that you mentioned in another video!
    Your videos are so helpful 😊.

    Usually remove my shoes for deadlifts and squats. Recently got the kayano 31s. They are so frigging stable that I tried a heavy deadlift with them with no issue. Don't have the guts to try squats with them but it looks like stability shoes could be that middle ground I was looking for which can handle most gym workouts too

      Not a bad move! Stability runners can be a solid a move to experiment with.

    Hi Jake,
    Im using addidas dropset 1 shoe for hiit training i could feel impact in legs while doing jumping jacks, jumping, high knees. Can you suggest a better shoe for hiit and cross fit training.

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  18 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Dropset is going to be a little denser for CF/Lifting, if you want to stay in the Adidas fam, give the RapidMove 2 or RapidMove ADV 2 (a little more HIIT focused a try)
