There's definitely some sort of weird effect there. Possibly a wah? Not sure. Even so, to get the wet popping sound you'd need an effects pedal.

Great video, this is how I play it. Many others will say the slide part is just d to e, 12 to 14th fret on d then to the g. I think it sounds better as you've shown and the ghost or dead notes is something Flea uses a lot. Well done and great tone. Cheers
