I still see a lot of discussion about the FEAR series on gaming forums. The first one in particular is often hailed as the pinnacle of first person shooters in terms of fluidity, gunplay and enemy AI. FEAR 2 wasn't even as impressive as the first one in that regard and 3 was a far cry from the first two games. Maybe the discussion about the series isn't as active as you'd expect due to the later entries in the franchise not being as good as the first ones.

But what sold me in F.E.A.R. was the subliminal thematics of terrorism. Intro soundtrack is arabburial music, main villain in praying pose, faceless clone army, Alma is arabic name terived from "AL-mah" and Wade means water, Skyscraper security is called ATC which means Air Traffic Control, SFOD-D delta force that is in action in Afganistan.
This was a decent game. I had a lot of fun with it. I blew through it pretty quickly, taking about 8 hours I think, and it felt just right. Didn't drag on too long and the difficulty was just right all the way through. Just completed the first two levels of 3 and its an interesting change so far. Nice graphical boost and the cover mechanic is a good feature. Looking forward to playing a some more.
hi what i ment is, if i buy fear project origin it's a stand alone game correct but on xbox live they have released a demo for fear reborn , is reborn a downloadble new campaign chaptor or a whole new game ?

fear 2 rocks, but I thought a couple of little changes made the game less difficult and less scary than fear 1. Namely: -slo-mo highlights enemies, which takes out a lot of the challenge in combat -Less silent moments. In fear 1, there were long stretches where things were quiet and even a lot of the combat lacked music. That built tension. Here, there's almost always music, so you feel less alone.
Just got from the Steam sale (and the Reborn DLC), really liked it I played the first one twice, this was more of the same but very atmopsheric and liked the story also
@davyklok27 alma is a girl born with high telepathic/physic ability. She was imprisoned when she was 12 because she was deemed too dangerous, she actually died and she nows over 18. So she is sorta undead. She was realased in the first one in an attempt to kill her and now shes on the warpath. You are her son in the first one, in no.2 u are a guy with high physic lvl so she is drawn to you and wants to absorb you. But the appearin are like vision u keep gettin of her, or she is attkin you.
the events happens the same time..Point man escape the Vault just in time..when the explosion beneath occurs..and tha'ts when micheal becket is at the window..and because of the Nuke-force..he fell on the floor
I really liked Fear 1 expansion Perseus Mandate and could never figure out why it ranked so badly on some ranking websites like GameSpot or Metacritic even IGN gave it a 5,9 out of 10. Maybe the lack of new graphic features or the complicated story, but it still deserved more....FEAR 2 was average in my opinion, nothing special, it lacks the "play again" factor, it is in my eyes one the games you play once and never have the desire to play again, unlike fear 1 which gave us something new, the AI in FEAR 2 is also miles away from FEAR 1 standards, i could easily finish the game on hard without even using the reflexes...did anyone tried that on FEAR 1 on expert difficult, i tried but i couldnt...
I just beet FEAR 1 today, and it is absolutely one of my favorite games. The story, the atmosphere, and even the bland textured make it horrifying. FEAR is not the scariest game out there, but it will make you jump, and the constant need of your flashlight will make the scares fun, and you are always exited to see the next scare.
This game is awesome. I completed it 2 days ago on hard. It was pretty long. but I was so addicted to it I beat it in 2. The Multiplayer is pretty good too. However, I'm just playing Team Deathmatch until the game gets out there more. I really wanna do a 16 player Armored Front. :)
It came back in 2009. 10 years later in 2019 I’m still watching this. NOSTALGIA !!

I don't know what company you keep but most gamers worth their salt hold these games in extremely high regard.
This game is probably one of the most underrated FPS games ever.
The thing is this is worse than F.E.A.R. 1, but still a great game.
Mohammed Hanif real quality is always underrated... that doesn't change the fact that this is a great game even better than most modern FPS

This was a decent game. I had a lot of fun with it. I blew through it pretty quickly, taking about 8 hours I think, and it felt just right.
