Finally a reason to put ranged Warriors on the table: To give long ranged ignores cover to Tfexes, S14Zoanthropes! S11Exocrines! S12 Maleceptors! Hot funkin dayum!
@RoAdKil7 i can See that. Though OOE+fexes is probably still best at home in invasion, considering OOE itself does not gain anything in the new WBO detachment
Restorative Impulse can be used to make an almost 4" mycelium move. 2" coherency + 50mm base. That makes a lot of difference for the chance to hit with charges.
Detachment looks like a ton of fun. Something to note is OOE + Carnifexes get full hit rerolls and wound re-rolls of 1. Between your melee warriors rerolling hits of 1 and all wounds, the amount of rerolls will almost feel like you're cheating.
I think Warriors of both varieties are very pushed for their points. The biggest issue they had was durability and now that has been solved in part by giving them a constant 5++, the ability to restore models to the squad, and the ability to penalize both the hit roll and wound rolls against them.
I got so hype when I read this earlier and thought it said 5+ fnp.... but I guess invulnerable save is ok But why does the one strat suggest that warriors are endless multitude??
Wait, you can take 6 melee AND 6 ranged warrior squads?! Silly me thought that it'd be 6 total in the detachment. Guess it's just too complicated for my Sisters/Votann brain.
So, a Heirophant to make the best use of Spontaneous Hypercorrosion? 2 guns with D6+6 shots at WS:3+ S:12 AP:-3 D:3 blast, and a flamer with 3d6 shots at S:9 AP:-2 and D:1. On top of running 6 Warriors up the board
Here is the Problem...810p of unit you can not Hide, against gunline armies this thing is 100% dead turn1... and good luck trying to Move that thing since it is YES wide and can only move over 4"terrain. But it could be sth fun to try out in crusade
@@obsidi2 id like to See the terrain that can Hide that, considering that all your opponent needs to See is a Wing or tailtip of the massive harridane. You need some really big L shape terrain for that.
honestly not super excited for this Detachment. I will be interested to see what people do with this on the competitive scene. I hope it's actually good enough to see some play over invasion fleet and Nexus. but for me with what I have I'm not going to be running this any time soon if at all.
List I made is 4 6man with ranged and 2 tyranid prime with enhancement then you spam the no cover strat on exocrines and everything that's good for tyrandids while getting extra tough battleline
why such a clickbait title? Since when Tyranid need savings? They arent top factions but still have a decent win rate, even more so when piloted by competent players.
I very much agree except I find Vanguard Onslaught much more fun to play than the other detachments because it's got lot's of clever movement shenanigans so isn't that boring I go fixed with it and have had a lot of success

@@TacticalTortoise Nids arent boring if you play outside of the meta. Vangard is also fun when not doing the early rush and instead using 2 Mawlocs + toxicrene and big monsters to stall the middle board.
Let's be honest. This isn't about making Warriors good. This is about clearing out GW's backlog of a mediocre unit. BTW current price for a unit of 3 warriors? 62.50 on the GW website. For a list that focuses on Warriors that 62.50 x 9 = $562.50. That's just the warriors. That's 645 points out of 2k for 562.50. F that....
Hey, I really like your enthusiasm of the fun factor of these new Detachments, not just focusing on how good they are in a competitive setting.
Yep agreed!
Agreee. Like having 2 units of warriors and focusing on shooting i think could be fun ❤

It doesn't, but if you select a warriors unit you get to also select an endless within 6"
No no no, the winged tyranid prime can lead gargoyles, which I THINK gives all of them a 5++?
Forget the venomthrophes. Bring out the pyschophages.
Bring both

So is ranger warriors actually good now and are they better than melee ones right now?
Not better than melee, but way cheaper which is good

Normally it's 6 total but both units gain Battleline which lets you have 6 of each.

That's a good move. Venomthropes for Stealth might be handy too.
It seems cool but im still bulding an army and $62.50 is just too much for 3 warriors for me
