First, it looks like a military cemetery, with endless names in alphabetical order. But then, on closer sight, this must be the common ground where songs from all times find their last resting place. Anonymuse. Here lies Strawberry Fields, easy to distinguish and forever indeed. And there is A Hot Time In The Old Town by Bessie. And yes, you're right, Rebel, Rebel is left, he's gone. You name it. Lost and found, we remain here, find a meadow down memory pain there. Far away on the edge rests this Gothic sound of blood, an unknown soldier, deeply hidden in my subconsciousness, in the frozen ground [a crow cries]. Come alive in Moscow. The resurrection. Please come back, mates. Are you there? Fulfil this loneliness. I wait here in this darkness. Forever and never.
A sleeping explorer; his wandering mind crossed over the border A mind like a cemetery where the corpses are turning Where the bodies twist deep in the frozen grip of a dreamless sleep Then the lowest comes up like a wreck from the depths He hears night calling; he has dreams of waking here in this brightness that burns like slow lightning He sees words burnt in ice and reads, "That the world is a wound" and the Body of Christ Effects of the animal - animal sound effects He says, "Death: he is my friend; he's promised me a quick end. The world is in pain; he should be put down; and God is a sadist and that he knows it" The depths of the night skies reflects in his eye He says, "Everything changes and no one survives and everyone dies" And the night slits her veins and the darkness drains and the void rumbles in like an underground train... Forever comes closer; the world is in pain We all must be shown We must realize that everyone changes and everything dies
In fairness, I can't really fault someone for downloading Coil's music. Unfortunately their albums tended to be hard to find and rather expensive if you could find them, at least here in America anyway.
This was only 4 days after 9/11. Was Coil already in Russia when 9/11 happened? I think some countries around the world grounded all their flights including the United States right after 9/11 happened.
@Maxsmith3 This is not "Who By Fire" no... Notice Balance introducing it at 0:27 as "Blood from the Air." "Who By Fire" is a Leonard Cohen cover and a completely different song.
@David Simmons You're absolutely right, my friend. I like your enthusiasm in trying to reach 8 years into the past (no, not being sarcastic). It's cool. There are many reasons why I & I imagine a lot of us would like to travel 8 years back...Be happy.

MASTERPIECE
A sleeping explorer; his wandering mind crossed over the border
A mind like a cemetery where the corpses are turning
Where the bodies twist deep in the frozen grip of a dreamless sleep
Then the lowest comes up like a wreck from the depths
He hears night calling; he has dreams of waking here in this brightness that burns like slow lightning
He sees words burnt in ice and reads, "That the world is a wound" and the Body of Christ
Effects of the animal - animal sound effects
He says, "Death: he is my friend; he's promised me
a quick end. The world is in pain; he should be put down; and God is a sadist and that he knows it"
The depths of the night skies reflects in his eye
He says, "Everything changes and no one survives and everyone dies"
And the night slits her veins and the darkness drains and the void rumbles in like an underground train...
Forever comes closer; the world is in pain
We all must be shown
We must realize that everyone changes and everything dies
impossible to fid their stuff. to me the greatest geniouses in music. no doubt.

yes they were, there is a clip of them watching the attacks live on a russian hotel tv
@turbid FYI, the first pressing of the Horse Rotorvator CD had the track listing wrong.
exactly. and im sure if they were alive that Jhonn and Peter of all people would understand if somebody were to download their music online.

The tracks have wrong labels on some CD editions.
how did they do the sounds in the middle part? Children laughing and stuff, how is it layered? It sounds genius.

Doesn't always work, my copy of Horse Rotorvator had the songs out of order on the track listing. And yes, I mean on the actual CD case.
better, then in New York.
@Maxsmith3 Maybe if you bought the music you wouldn't have that problem of things being "tagged" by someone other than you.
@turbid Coil albums are not easy to find, most of them aren't mass-produced, so eh, whatever.
especially not after the fact that they've both passed over the border
