Jess is 34-years-old, autistic, and blind. Her favorite topic of conversation is her new dog and when she will be getting the next new dog. Jess collects CD’s of children’s music, cards, coloring books, and has a small collection of used up disposable cameras. Favorite health foods include chicken and rice, chicken tenders, chicken nuggets, chicken biscuits, pepperoni pizza, and hash brown potatoes. Jess has naturally curly hair that she would rather not ever comb, brush, or cut.
Jessica’s multiple disabilities stem from brain damage that occurred in-utero, and from hydrocephalus. In addition to autism and blindness, Jess also has minor fine motor and gross motor deficits. Hannah is Jessica's sister, and Marlow is Jessica's paid support staff (and Hannah's best friend.)
Awesomesauce! Yay! No house hunting. How cool is that lol. So happy for y’all. I bet Jess is tickled pink. She’s been talking moving as long as I’ve been following y’all. Been about a yr or so. I sure don’t envy you the packing. When we bought our house, I spent three days packing, and still had to go to work. After a particular hard shift at the nursing home, I came home and told hubby…I’m hiring a mover and they can pack this mess up. Good luck to y’all!
The way your family unites to make the best possible situation for Jess as well as each of you is phenomenal. Every decision you make is always carefully thought out with her in mind. Her needs are always first in every aspect and that’s so inspiring. Your family is attached to my heart… and the way you have let us in with your vlog will help so many other families with similar situations !! Sending love and prayers for a smooth transition. Even if they aren't going to be together, my in laws live together and have separate bedrooms. They get along. It's convenient for them, they can watch the grandkids together and they plan to leave the house to their kids.
This is great in that Dad can spend more time with and be there to help out in times with Jessica.. Honestly it seems as if this has been a family conversation for quite some time and a family decision was made. And you 2 Ladies look very relaxed and content and I am Happy for you All..

Congrats family!! Economically such a smart move. With these uncertain times we are all experiencing, to be blessed enough to share a home with the ones closest to you would be such a life saver. Even if you weren't able to find the perfect home of your dreams what a way to be able to financially survive and thrive.. So happy for all of you..

I think we all knew you'd be moving because Jess kept bringing it up about searching for homes and getting that one ready lol. She did well not just coming right out with it though. So happy for all of you. 😃
I'm so glad that Marlow will still be working with Jess! They have such a fantastic relationship and I feel it would be detrimental not to have Marlow there for her.

Question for Val...I know you and bad daddy have a fantastic friendship, but do you have any concerns that living in the same house could bring up old complaints of each other? (I.e. someone not helping with the dishes... nothing major😊)
Hi Elizabeth. Good question. I do not anticipate any problems with things like dishes or other minor issues. As long as Valerie does all the work everything will be fine! Just kidding!!! 😄 We both listen to each other very well and work well together on housework, projects, etc.

I think this is great! I love your family. You’re all together a lot of the time it seems and i think it great that Jess will have mom and Bad Daddy under one roof.
I think this will be great for Jess and maybe even ease up some of the anxiety when Val goes away for a few days because bad daddy will be there!

Why not rent your house out for a year, or air bnb it, make some money but also just keep that little safety net for a while

It will probably sell fast. We put our house on the market and had an offer in less than 24 hours.

Hello Meghan. I'm Baddaddy and am the father of our three children - Jessica, Madison and Hannah. Val is the mother of our children and is the creator of Autistic Interpretations. Marlow is Jess' paid caregiver and Hannah's best friend. Mama Jo is Marlow's grandmother. Nonnie and Grandad are Val's parents (my parents are both deceased - you may hear Jess occasionally refer to Granny and she is my deceased mom). Our son, Madison, is a doctor and lives in South Carolina with his wife so you won't see much of him. He also doesn't like to be opn camera and isn't on social media. Hope that helps!

I never can understand why people are so nosey lol. I get why you want to take the time to answer the question but what I don’t get is why people are asking these kind of questions… like are you putting your stuff in storage? Where will the pool be? The fact that people feel entitled to ask these questions just blows my mind. Maybe I’m old school but I’d never dream of asking questions like these especially to people I’m not close to and don’t know, personally. And if I were on the receiving end of questions like that I’d just take a page out of Jessica’s book and say “it’s none ya buisness” 😅
If it weren’t for “nosey” people there’d be no interest in the average family’s life. Nosey people are literally paying the bills for many social media families right now. I get the privacy issue but when you put yourself out there asking thousands or millions of people to watch you can’t get annoyed when they have questions. I mean, you can, but people will lose internet really fast if everything is “none of their business”.

I’d like to clear something up… I’m not suggesting that the family here is annoyed by the questions people are asking. I was simply saying that I (as in myself) was shocked by the stuff people feel compelled to ask. Would you go over to a neighbor down the street and ask these questions? Probably not… I know I wouldn’t. That’s all I was trying to say with my comment.

She lived away from home while in college and for a while after she moved back from college.
Hannah is now working with/for Val with Jess. It is now her full-time job.

Don't do the b&b. Many people have disaster stories about that. My daughters house was trashed and things stolen because the people staying there had a huge party. Come to find out this is not uncommon.
