As one who mains the hoka arahi 6 just for casual walking around about outside of work and going to the gym, I was looking for a similar feel in stability with decent (but not too much cushion) like them. The 7's are out but aggravate my arch on the right foot, then I went to a store asking for something similar and was presented with the experience form and after walking around about 2 minutes I purchased them and immediately drove to another location to get a second pair in a different color. lol I don't know how to describe it, but as a 6'2, 270 lb male nurse, they just feel good on my feet in every way and feel more natural in walking compared to most other "comfort" or cushion shoes I've tried. Not "minimal shoe" level natural, but more natural for a comfort shoe compared to most others I've tried.
Thank you for posting your experience. I am quite similar to you (other than a nurse ) and I was on the fence as my local shops don't stock so I need to travel a bit further travel but now I'll go check the form out.
I think it is great Altra are making a small drop shoe. The 'accidental' small (sub4mm) shoes as foind by RunRepeat testing was whatt atracted me to Altra in the first place rather than true 0 drop
So far, no reviewer has paid attention to the outsole design under the heel. On the Flow i curves upwards (in three directions, including the sides), which undermines the stability of the shoe, especially while walking. On the Form, though, it's much more 'normal'.
Wide toe boxes are awesome, Altra shoes are awesome, the only problem I have with Altra shoes is the tongues always slip. Topo Athletics has a double lace stay solution that works very well. The single lace stay in the center of most shoes does absolutely nothing. Altra please borrow the double lace stay solution from Topo Athletics along with adding gussets to your shoes, PLEASE 🦋👣

I’ve been using the flow as my daily trainer. It pairs up well with the Topo Cyclone 2 and Atmos.
Both of those Topo shoes have the double lace stay, I'm guessing there is no tongue migration 🦋👣
Are they good for running half marathon?
Good video with a lot of detail.
How many miles did you run in each before you put this Overview out?
