People has abandoned boxes with kittens like 3 times outside of my house, so right now i have 10 cats with me, people seem dont know that there are places where you can leave your pet if you dont want to take care of them instead of leaving them on the street.

My last cat followed my mom to our house , my mom didn't want him at first , but we all convinced her to take it. It was all black with big green eyes and I can tell you he was wonderful and sweet. He was a stray cat so he didn't scream the first day. He was so calm and peaceful, he was also well behaved. I love him!

On Friday a young couple passing thru my area saw a man throw a kitten into the dumpster at Safeway . Im the foster mom who got him . He had a busted lip , injured back paw and internal injuries from being thrown . His injuries are nearly healed and no more blood in poop . People can be so cruel ... I hope every disposed of kitten gets as lucky as yours and mine .

I understand you might not be able to keep him but bring him to an association or a specialized place where they take care of them...

Despite the number of stories like this I've heard, the immensity of human cruelty still stuns me. What would we do without people like you and Chris? Omg so adorable 😻😻 my husband found a little grey kitten left in a parking lot. 2 yrs later he's the king of our home. I love him beyond words. Best kitty ever. Just left for dead. That's so terrible. I should add he's grown into one of the most beautiful cats I've ever seen. Everyone remarks at how gorgeous he is. We're so lucky to have found him

2.5 years ago I had a kitten come up to me this way. Now he's close to 15 lbs and loves sitting on my shoulders where he rattles my ear drums purring.

kittens that young should not be on the street regardless...whoever dump them out was irresponsible...u dont put 3-4 weeks old kitten outside just like that....gotta wait until they're at least 5-6 months old b4 let them go freely outside...guy did the right thing by picking them up

Saving them?!?!?!?! He stole them away from their home where their mom was probably coming back to bring them food. That mommy cat is worried sick & meowing for her babies and will never know where they went because this asshole stole them. OUTSIDE CATS ARE NOT STRAYS!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly No, must have fees. I’ve seen as low as $60 and as high as $200.
But on the plus side, that usually includes shots, a carrier and a starter food supply.

I got my cat, Hellion, from a shelter. They told me her previous owners dropped her off cause she bullied the older cat. All she does is cuddle, play with her mice, beg for pets, and eats. She is so sweet and loving and I'm so glad to have her in my life.
How can people can be so heartless as to dump these poor defenseless kittens. Glad for this dude.

Ok, so had a shower ready to go out. So, checklist of things to take, mobile, keys, notebook...what am I forgetting?, oh yes, cat carrier.

When I'm watching something like this and there's meowing my kitty comes and sits by me and watches. How anyone could dump precious babies like this is beyond me. Thank you for saving them!
Mine as well. The other one start running around the house to look for the crying cat. I guess it's the mother instinct. They have never had babies of their own though.

Some people fucking suck on levels I can't even begin to describe! I am right there with you. I don't understand how people can be so damn heartless! Hopefully karma punches the asshat who dumped these sweet babies square in the crotch! I have 6 adopted/rescued puddie cats, and I couldn't even fathom dumping my babkes, or any puddies for that matter. People really do suck ass sometimes.
How do we know they were dumped? How do we know he didn't just take someone else's kitties?
To be fair their mama may have been feral and the kittens hadn't been taught to fear humans.
Sweet P It would take a lot of effort for young kittens (with no collars) to venture off of someone’s property and go far that they weren’t near another house. Especially as it looked like the tabby cat had trouble walking at some points with a weak leg.
Even if they were someone else’s, they had fleas and worms, so clearly weren’t taken care of at all.
They were probably not dumped, but born of feral cats. Best to spay or neuter and release. Some people disagree as they have depleted bird populations and other wildlife.
I once found a semi-feral kitten in a colony that roamed an apartment complex I did security for. She was being menaced by a very large tom. I put her in my squad car and took her home. Got the vet to check her out; aside from being flea infested, she was fine. 17+ years later, she is still with me.

We get so overwhelmed and when people in the community take responsibility it means so much. And yes, please ask a re homing fee and thoroughly vet the people who want to adopt them.

EDIT: thanks everyone for your response. I want to add, in the UK, they don’t charge any fee for taking a cat to a shelter. Even if they charge a fee, put an ad up and give them to someone who wants a kitten. Dumping them on the street without their mom is not solution. EVER!
Depending on your area, shelters will charge a "dumping" fee and if someone doesn't have the funds for that, they'll choose an easier solution for themselves. Yes, it sucks and it's awful but when a safe place for an animal charges 30$ per relinquished animal and you have a litter of kittens or puppies. . . It won't end well for the babies.
P.S. I don't condone dumping animals (ever!) and will go out of my way to help animals in need. My college town was just one such place that had all of their shelters charge fees for taking in animals regardless of circumstances (and most of the time would euthanize them in under a week) and they didn't believe in TNR so we had to get creative when caring for any animals.
Shelters are most likely to euthanise kittens, they can’t look after them.
If you don’t want kittens, get your cat fixed. No excuses.
@@alyssakelley4995 in the UK you can just take them and leave them with no fee. I just hate these irresponsible people. I have 2 female kittens who will be indoor cats but they're getting spayed next week. It's only £45 to spay a female and just £15 for a boy. No excuses are acceptable.

I’ve been taking care of a feral cat for almost 6 years. The first couple of years she wouldn’t even come near the house. I had to take her food about 100 yards away. Now she has a nice house on the deck and one under the deck. They are insulated and she has her own lounging deck etc. She still won’t let me pet her after all of these years, but she knows where home is and she likes to hang out and watch me when i do yard work. I still love her! I think she does me too in her own way.
I did trap her and get her spayed. I was hoping she would calm down during healing. Nope she wanted nothing to do with that!
I feed 3 strays.. 1 black 1 grey 1 calico. Any tips??

The main things any living being needs, food, shelter and water. A warm area to sleep when it is cold is very important. I put quite a bit of straw in her houses in the winter. It is more insulating than blankets. Cats don’t have a strong thirst drive so keeping fresh water available at all times is very important so they can drink when they feel like. I give my feral the can food friskies with extra gravy once a day. I add a bit more water to it so she is getting extra moisture. (Vet told me to)
She gets access to dry food through the day.
Good luck with your feral kitties. It is very rewarding to look after them.

@@Sagir32 I have a family of ferals plus another added on. They live in the lap of luxury in my house with me. Right now, I can see Patches (the mom), Tiger (one of her sons) and Booties, (her daughter) sleeping on the window sill here in the office. Blacky, (Patches other son) and Tabby (the add on) are sleeping in the cat room.

Definitely too young to have impacted anal sacs. But then again, maybe not. Poor little guy tried to scoot twice and that's the telltale sign for overfilled anal sacs. Expressing them is easy but boy! how the cat will howl.

It's so hard to be patient when all you want to do is scoop them up and keep them safe! I work as a security officer at a trucking yard, and a little kitten was wandering solo. It took a lot of coaxing and even laying on the ground to catch the poor baby! So glad you got them!!

Thank you for your kindness, Chris. Most of my past cats have been adopted from the humane society, but two of them were neighborhood rescues. Of those two, I paid a woman $100 if she would ensure her abusive children left him alone. That was Sam, a wonderful Tuxedo tom kitten. He'd approached me as I sat in my front yard weeding, and essentially used me like a jungle gym. He was a wonderful boy. I had him for 9 years, and sadly he was diagnosed with Cushings Disease and diabetes. We made the decision to euthanize him, because he kept getting abscesses, and was so miserable when he had to wear that cone of shame.
2 weeks after we lost Sam, Finnigan showed up in our yard, and into our hearts. He's a copper and white Norwegian Forest Cat. Took me 2 more weeks to get him accustomed enough to me to approach me when I put down food for him. One afternoon I put down his food dish on the front stoop and sat next to it. He jumped up, ate about half of it, then stared at me for a minute, and just like that climbed up onto my lap. I was very depressed after having lost my Sam, and I believe Finnigan actually saved my life.
Oh Chris, without you, the world would be a much worse place. Thanks for sharing your love towards animals ( cats especially) with us !!!

Most feral cats die young in a painful way.
If you think that's great, I don't think you are worth a second chance. Compassion is what makes us human and if you lack that, you aren't human.
Feral cats are feral because some a-hole didn't take care of them or their ancestors and made them so. Those a-holes don't deserve a second chance either.
Their victims do.

You are not kidding how some people REALLY SUCK! How anyone can look into the eyes of ANY animal, nevertheless a precious little kitten & throw them on the street!, & then be able to sleep at night & look themselves in the mirror, is beyond my comprehension!!!!
Having many feral colonies myself, I deal with this crap all the time! These idiots (I'm being nice!) dump their cats & kittens, & I can't get any rescues or no-kill shelters to intake them, they want $300 bucks! I can't afford that! w/ all the rescues I have that need homes & all the colonies I have to feed each day. It's endemic here on L.I. N.Y.

That's what my cat did to me. He was scratching the door and when I went out there he was. A yellow pitiful dehydrated cat. Now he lives with me but he's scared of the windows and doors. He thinks I'm going to trow him out 😢 but I'm working on it. My older cats loved him on the spot despite all being males
Both of my cats were dumped outside . Both dumped at different times. They are both terrified of outside. I hate that they are scared that I'm going to throw them out like their previous owners
Send them to a shelter
If you throw them out like that they have a higher chance of dying.
They were dumped out by their previous owners. My first cat was thrown out with her sibling at a school park. My nephews found her all alon in a box, I guess the others were picked up. They couldn't find a home for her so I took her in. My other cat was meowing outside my house. I took him to the vet and he said it looked like they pulled out his whiskers. He had such super stinky poo and would throw up alot. I'm guessing they came to my neighborhood and left him there cause he didn't belong to any of my neighbors. I was going to just foster until I can find him a forever home but we feel in love. But poor things runs when I open the door to go outside. They are strictly indoors. They are my babies now and will forever be safe 😻😻😻😻

The brown kitten was limping on his left hind leg. Looks like it was injured. Was it able to be fixed? Perhaps that is why he was much more standoffish than the gingers.

Thats no limp! That is a scratching reflex because of the fleas! He doesnt complete the motion because he is so young!
