    Throughout my interests in studying injuries into the sports field area specifically in soccer I’ve never thought that blood vessel or nerves were such an impact in an injury like this even though I was concerned of the degrees of damages afterwards, thanks for teaching me again 🙌🏽

      Me neither. I first learned about it when I heard about Dario Scuderi and his injury. It is quite similar to this one and if you look it up, be warned because the image can be disturbing. With his injury there was the risk of him potentially losing his leg because of the severe damage and loss of blood flow into his leg.

    Is that like compartment syndrome the latter potential injury, Doc? I was rushed to a different hospital for surgery after a Schatzker 6 tibial plateau fracture, for fear of compartment syndrome. Luckily I didn’t have it, nor did they do surgery because the bones were severely comminuted, and it was displaced. Do you have any videos that explain these fractures? I sustained it nearly 2 years ago, there was a medial and lateral fracture. Cheers!

    • @BenWashburn
      @BenWashburn หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, a true knee joint dislocation involves at minimum a rupture of the ligaments (although the pattern and number of ligaments involved varies with injury mechanism). The forces involved in this injury usually lead to other structural damage as well (meniscus, articular cartilage, nerve, blood vessel, muscle/tendon).

    @df3575 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

    Part of whats so f#&$% about this is the practice of defenders putting their hands behind their damn back while STILL MOVING. Its because of the stupid way soccer is officiated. One ought to be able to move with your hands in front. Its a natural position. You can still have your hands inside ypur body or at your sides. Its natural. Also, your hands are in a better place to protect an impact....instead of the crazy unathletic postion; behind the back.
    Also....the practice of not having an injury cart at the stadiun is also ridiculous. The sight of a bunch pf weak, unathletic, out of shape "trainers" ineptly trying to carry dude on a stretcher was tragic comedy....bouncing him around because they could barely carry his weight. Its bush league. The spectacle in soccer of people wobbling around with injured people on stretchers is bad enough. When it impacts the injured persons health its time to stop the BS.
    P.S. its as ridiculous and bush league as only one person in the building knowing how much time is left in the game...and he keeps it to himself until the very end. It doesn't matter how "traditional" it is.

    • @pretzelhunt
      @pretzelhunt หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree it's unathletic but they ruined it themselves by a risky hand-ball, or a "stop hitting yourself" penalty 4 out of 5 times.. it screwed it up for everyone. the game needs constant skyjudge VRC, but thats impossible for small org's.
