I was a guest in Brompton a couple of times in the ‘90s. A college friend of mine was the daughter of the president of Mary Washington College at the time. It’s a beautiful place and it was great to learn more about the history of the home.
Used to drive by that many times my grandfather worked at Mary Washington College on Saturdays and we would pass there. That was back when it was all girls college
I would love to see you do a short video on Paytons ordinary. It is located on route one in Stafford County just north of the post office and just south of quiet Harbor. I know it was used as a regular stop between traveling from DC to Richmond. Unfortunately nothing remains
