It seems higher than likely that both will not be on the team. Its not even finances I think Matt, more about level of play and need for a lot more production out of DTs and fit for Deebo. Pearsall, Jennings, and Aiyuk will be the three main receivers based on everything the team has done to prepare for shedding one of their big WR contracts. Cowing is also still in the mix as a 4th receiver/PR, and I do think the 49ers try to add maybe a big 6'4 receiver say with a compensatory 3rd rounder, and try to strike gold again the way they did with Jauan, but in an earlier round
Going off what you’ve told us about the contracts, Hargrave is gone for sure. No chance he’d take that cut in pay. Deebo I don’t know enough about his contact to say. If Trent isn’t playing, being a divisional game, they have pretty much given up on the season. Which they should. Haven’t put together a postseason quality game all year. It's becoming more AWESOME as the season ends. Do you know that according to ESPN and HFL stats the the 49ers has No. 4 Offense in the NFL with 4,921 total yards? Well, The 49ers do. The No. 4 ranked offense in the NFL Also, the 49ers have the No.3 ranked defense with 3,881 yards allowed this season. But the 49ers special teams are the main reason they have loss games. Ranked 22. It needs to be addressed and Kyle needs to fire the coach in charge of special teams. Also Staley need to leave and go somewhere else. The OL needs help from the draft especially. It needs a talented Pro-ready left tackle and Center. It need another talented pro-ready TE. These guys need to sreo in the line and humbly take over it which would impress Kyle and John like Puni did this season. But most of all, the 49ers need a edge rusher.....a young talented pro-ready DE who can successfully rush the opposing team's QB and sack him at will. These guys need to be determined, humble. confident. discipline. and hard-working. The 49er defense needs SA and LB and a new Special teams coach. Kyle needs the fire the one they have now. Everything is set for next year. Well, it's over. the season of 2024 is over for the 49ers and it's time to learn about the 49ers season of 2024 and Kyle shanahan. I must say this. After careful study and observations of the 49ers during this crazy time, I must apologize to Kyle shanahan and his coaching staff. I must praise John Lynch and his front office and scouting staff. I must apologize to Chris Simms and his staff. the 49ers had a muck up season filled extreme incidents that on a human level did not make sense. Aiyuk insanely hold out on his bag(money), which I have heavily criticized. It was not that I didn't want him to get paid but the method that he approach the matter made him appear more about the money than wining a Championship which placed him in the same category as Nick Bosa. Trent went about getting his well deserved money crudely as well. These hold out set a set back in the minds of other players. the constant talk inside and outside with the media was not championship quality and it showed up on the field. Injuries and a lack of effort. these players....these men know inside that they did not do ever was possible to win a championship. In the circumference of Cosmic Karma, Aiyuk is injured with an ACL. Aiyuk has not been serious injured like this sense he was drafted in 2020. He has now with all his money been replaced by Jauan Jennings who has become the primary WR for the 49ers with 774 receiving yards in his first ful-time season. Kyle Shanahan has already made Jauan Jennings the No.1 WR picked in the 7th round like Brock Purdy. And rightly so. He also got paid so money on a new contract for 2 more years. He is set to do many great things. He also can do sweeps, reverse sweeps, and he can throw passes like he did in the last Superbowl. He is a vital weapon. He is Mr. Clutch!!! He is Brock's main target. He isn't Brock's only target, Brock's No.1 target is Lord George Kittle who for the past 3 seasons has become game-winning targets for Jimmy G, Trey Lance and Mr. Brock Purdy. I could write a book about George Kittle. He is very close to Kyle Shanahan and is the engine that drive the 49er offense. George and Juice with much help of Trent Williams. Brown has been bad and I would prefer they play Gip even though he just joined the team. He’s a vet and shown he is a solid safety.
