That arcade area is called Seven Ranges. It's fairly new. Opened about a year ago, in the former Sears store. Most of the mall is indeed empty. The AMC theater closed during the pandemic and never re-opened. The uneven floors are a symptom of that whole landfill area that the mall was built on in the 1970s. You'll notice that the parking lots and roads around the mall are uneven as well. It used to be a really nice mall back in the 70s/80s/90s. The downfall started in the 2000s and none of the owners (including the current one) seems to invest any money into it. They're just letting it rot away. It's a real shame.
@@bgiglio1 Holy crap, a land fill?! That would definitely explain a lot and the bumpy roads all around that area. That’s insane! Sad about the theater, but that makes sense. Thanks for the input.
This used to be one of the best malls in the area. Believe it or not. They changed so much. This mall and the Beaver valley Mall in Monaca were the places to be. They had Giant food courts. They had fountains. They had plants they had arcades..... They had two bookstores. They had music stores. There was a Chi-Chi's attached with a pharmacy right next to the chichis.... And then I forget what year it was. They put Walmart next to the mall and the mall started dying pretty quick. Go figure. There's a lot of factors but definitely online and Walmart killed it. The uneven floors from mine subsidence. They fixed it ago but it looks like it's back again. Corrado's Pizza used to be there and now it's called Rubis over by St. Franciscan, it's some of the best pizza in the area. They moved out of the mall. There used to be an Aladdin's Castle in there which was an arcade and a Tilt. Which was a newer version of Aladdin's Castle basically. I could go on and on about these local malls because I would spend a lot of time there as I'm nearly almost 50. There used to be a cinema down by JCPenney's, but a lot of crime in the area made that place something you didn't want to go to very often. I wish someone would buy the cinema. That would be great to have a dollar cinema around here since they closed most of them down. Believe it or not this place used to be vibrant and had a lot to offer but the area is very low income so it just doesn't support something like this anymore. Neither does Beaver valley Mall but if you go to Robinson mall it's got stores in every nook and cranny and is doing perfectly fine as is boardman Mall.
Seems they either think it could be turned around, or redeveloped successfully, as years ago it seemed that mall was closing up and done forever. It's a zombie now.
We have a dead mall Wesleyan In SE Iowa grand total of 8 stores, largest one is now a clearance/warehouse The DMV and DHS are the second and third largest of the storefronts, The only reason anyone really goes anymore is the theater.. They should convert dead malls into affordable housing communities/rental units.
@@PaulieLauraXombie1331 we should have counted the stores, but I think there were more than 8 at least!🤣 I’ve actually heard of some malls being converted into apartment complexes, so maybe that’s the future of this one since it’s near a college. Who knows?
👍👍Silly video! What the heck with the toilet game!?

Looks like Dead Rising in real life...minus the zombies of course :P
@@SkillJim That is eerily accurate!🤣
The algorithm sent this video my way, I love this.... Some places really are frozen in time.

@@MasicoreLord It may be the most desolate of the dead malls we’ve visited!
