pro tip, when you do reno or build a house, just go and use colorbond steel/metal roof, you will thank that roof later, when there is crazy hail storm like this one, The worst that can happen is many dents on your colorbond roof, but you won't have holes on your roof meaning no water leakage during heavy rain and storm. Yes after the storm, you might need to get that colorbond replaced through your insurance, but still much better than having tiled roof over your heads. Damage tiled roofs will cause damage and collapse ceilings because hails still able to penetrate the inside of your house, resulting a much more costly damage If you have roof tile , you are screwed, roof tile wont be able to withstand that much constant impact from very big hail stones ( golf and tennis ball size hail). My friend had to endure this the hard way, holes every where on his roof, and he needs to put bucket over many room just to capture that dripping rainwater.
