    Hi guys, I will never ask you to text or Whatsapp me. If you see any such comment, even with the picture being mine, kindly ignore and report that comment. It is scammers and bots trying to get to some of you. The right channels to reach me are always linked in the description box, that is, my website and email address.

    Susan Thank YOU. I am completely locked in fear because of financial trauma and at 33 I'm finally realizing where my fear is rooted. Blamed family problems and so many other things. But the scarcity mindset, avoidance personality etc speaks so much to me. I deeply am in a poverty trauma state. Ruining relationships friends etc etc etc etc etc

    I think money&poverty trauma can also arise in adulthood in a season in which finances just don't seem to come together for a good couple of years and so one is forced to literally live from hand to mouth and just do with the bare minimum. It's a traumatizing experience both in childhood and adulthood. Totally loved your take on this topic, puts things into perspective.

    I like the poncho you wearing. Do you crotchet?
    And yes we were told "Where will the money come from?" or "You think money grows on tree?" Today I tell my children "I will not spend money on that at this time". No talk about lack or can not. Then they know that money is more about choice. Thank for being open.

  • @psychologistkaveli
    @psychologistkaveli 2 ปีที่แล้ว +18

    Just realizing my trauma is rooted in childhood lack (even though we weren't poor) and partially having self worth attached to material things. I'm deliberately working on the 2nd one but the 1st one will take time

    What an eye opener, I think my poverty trauma started from childhood never having enough so I grew up becoming a chronic saver, invested some money and lost it. Since then I've just been traumatized about investment or saving. I began to overspend my money bcus at the back of my mind i'm thinking that I may lose the money so it's better for me to just spend it. Basically I went from chronic saver to chronic spender. Both extremes have not been easy for me.

    Now that am self aware of the triggers ,signs when they pop up when am making decisions .I try my best to equip myself with abundance affirmations.

    I can relate to this episode. The trauma over money is way too high on me. I try to infest but not to my full potential. The trauma has caused me to lose a lot of money in the hands of people trusting they are the best than me just because they are doing better in finances. Thank you for the insight. It’s time for a turnaround.

    What's crazy is I have extremely uncomfortable about talking about money. But at the same time I overspend on trips to overcompensate for not having when I was a child BUT at the same time I Underspend horribly towards myself. Clothes are extremely old. Don't even get haircuts etc or do anything for self. Its wild hearing it from you because now my feelings have an understanding

    I love this content. You're hitting the nail with the reality of money and abundance out there. Many people say if you're doing well in life/follow your purpose, then you can't be broke or experience financial lack. Many people also say finances are about energy, if money doesn't stick than YOU are doing things wrong. I find these views and popcorn theories so disheartening and ignorant. People are missing the many layers of truth when it comes to money matters. I love how you've done this video and I'm sorry about your financial trauma. May abundance contintinuously flow to you.

    What an eye opener. Now I know that the relationship that landed me overindebted left me money traumatized. On my pay day I would visit all my creditors to make payment (that was prior to online banking era) otherwise all my peace will vanish until I find time to pay. Should I not pay all of them after work, then tomorrow morning I will report late to work paying them. This was because I was afraid that something would happen and I might end up not paying my debt obligations. I was so anxious/traumatized that I would monthly rework on my debt payment plan spreadsheet. Sometimes I would open that spreadsheet and look at it with frozen mind. I only thank God that He healed me even though I didn't know that I was SICK.

    True story! Poverty mentality is real. Sometimes it's also tied to lack of faith in God. Where I fail to trust that God can take care of me so I save save save without a purpose except that I will never be broke. Does not help, if anything it is a recipe for disaster. I am learning that being a good steward starts with knowing my master. I have enjoyed the talk, just slow down in your presentation so that one does not miss the good points. You talk fast
