One thing i would love to see in Gulf War's Warzone story is the rivalry between Perseus and Imran Zakhaev during the Cold War, we know at some point Imran closed and locked up the bunkers in Verdansk. It would be cool to dive deeper into that knowing Verdansk is planned to be brought back at some point. Sure story wise it may not make since if the game follows the Gulf War but what if they find a way to make it work. Idk we shall see.
I think he’s more of a cult like figure and I think the actor Julian Kostov did a good job with what he’s done but sledgehammer didn’t have enough time and they shortened the missions instead of expanding and showing a few missions where we see how brutal he was they didn’t show much at all which is why not a lot of people like the new Makarov but the actor is quite amazing I’ve seen his work and he’s quite good and he loves Star Wars that he wants to play a Darth Vader like character

The SAS capture him but the terrorist blow the airport. Makarov was arrested and take in the gulag. However some of the guards and the prisoners was corrupted and he maid a little service for him . Probably Makarov heard by one of them the death of Barkov and the destruction of the gas factory by the ULF on November 2019.

Makarov in the reboot timeline is not as threatening and compelling as the original.

The actor was born in 1989 so I guess that's why he looks much younger
I’ve got nothing against the actor for the new Makarov but the new one just doesn’t appear or seem threatening. OG Makarov looked like an unhinged maniac who made a pact with the Devil to unleash hell on earth. The new Makarov looks likes a baby face.
