The arrow on Aang's body doesn't mean he's the avatar, it means he is a Master Airbender. Airbenders get the arrow tattoo when they complete their airbending training
Yeah, but given that there are no airbenders anymore except the avatar is kind of a giveaway. My guess is that since it's been a hundred years most people haven't seen one or heard what they look like

(I do admit some of these are pretty crap reactions, but there are other reaction channels which are great and actually give some good bits, like Azula thinks she is funny, Zuko made a ball of fire around himself to protect himself from the explosion, how did toph know Aang's arrows were showing if she is blind and so many other things also Hot cop Mako)
This show is a lot about momentum. As you get into the second and third seasons, everything builds on each other and just keeps getting better. PLEASE watch this show all the way through.

Well not necessarily. Quality is quality no matter when its experienced. And I quite enjoy watching new people discover it and have the exact same level of enthusiasm I had when I first watched it.

Here's what I tell people about this series, especially if it doesn't grab them immediately at the start:
If you like these characters AT ALL, then keep watching, because you WILL get to see the characters get to do much more than they do in the pilot. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Avatar isn't exactly an anime. It's written and animated in English, instead of animated for Japanese speakers
Slang for it is 'Ameri-me'. The writing and lines were done in the US, and the animation was done over there. :)
Um.. actually it is an anime. At least in Japan it would be considered as such. It's only in the west where they make the the difference from cartoon or anime. Anything that's animated is anime animation is anime. Anime is just an acronym for Animation that they use.

It's not anime. It is a cartoon. When people hear "anime" they believe it's a Japanese production. Avatar isn't. It's an US (western) production by Nickelodeon that was inspired by anime franchises such as studio Ghibli.

Favourite part of this show is the costuming (outfitting? Hmm). Each location has a different set of rules, colours and styles for clothing and while they definitely borrow from their inspired countries they are incorporated so seamlessly that I get excited everytime. I remember being in awe of the differences between clothing choices for places that weren’t even different nations in show. Like, the Earth kingdom city and outer small towns we visit are so different and I love it!
i can’t remember if they say this in the first season, but aang and the monks are pacifists, so you won’t really be seeing him directly hurt/kill anyone if he doesn’t have to. he uses his airbending to evade and deflect mostly.

One thing that shows is that they worked with a lot of martial artists to develop the styles and capture the look of various techniques. The MOVES in this show... amazing.

A:TLA is basically an American cartoon, done in Japanese anime style, based on a fictional world with Chinese and Japanese culture. This is one of my favorite shows since childhood and beyond. It's such a masterpiece!

OMg I'm so excited for you to watch this! One of the best shows ever made. I definitely think the 5/6 eps per watch is better than 1 at a time. Plus the copy right claims can be intense on the show so the extra editing will likely help. Also, be prepared because this is a show that starts good but season/book 1 is mostly set up. book 2 and 3 are even better
This show gains insane momentum with time, and as it goes you start realizing how heavy-hitting even the early episodes are. Episode 12 is really the launch point for Book 1 and it doesn't really ever let up after that.
Also Avatar was an American Animated show (it was on Nickelodeon) so it was automatically in English

continue this show on your channel, season 1 is a lot of setup and is considered the weakest out of the 3 seasons but it does pick up towards the end of the season, seasons 2 and 3 are amazing and the series concludes with a satisfying ending

Congrats on graduating! I just finished my degree as well. It’s only a 2 year and it’s taken me 5 of on and off work, but it’s something! ATLA is my favorite show of all time. I have an Uncle Iroh quote tattooed on my arm. It says, “There’s nothing wrong with letting people who love you help you”. Something I had to learn to get through my degree and everything else in the past few years. Please continue this. It has an incredibly dedicated fan base. Love you Welchy 🥰

A couple things you should know: one, it's not avatar and the last Airbender, it's avatar the last Airbender, meaning the avatar, and the last Airbender, are the same person. Second, the avatar cycle: The avatar is reincarnated in a specific order, and The avatar also has to learn the elements in that order. Anyway, very excited to watch you watch this for the first time! I grew up with this show, and it is amazing! Even today I watch it and I learn shit. It's so good! Also, just for some perspective, keep in mind, this was written for 10-year-olds! God I miss being 10!

ohh!! one of my favorite commentary youtubers watching one of my favorite series.
i've watched this series genuinely an insane amount of times. it's so, so good. season 1 and 2 are phenomenal, but season 3 is mind blowing. it is such a mature show for kids that shows so many mature themes while also making it easy for kids to understand, as well as entertaining. every time i think about season 3 i get emotional. again, season 1 and 2 are excellent in and of themselves, but season 3 just takes the cake. and the creators of avatar knew exactly what they were doing-- the show wasn't dragged out or dragged along, and it was ended at just the right time and it ended perfectly. i adore this series more than i can say.
i hope you continue showing this series on this channel!! i love watching people's reactions to something i adore so much. plus i already adore you so it's a win-win for me, basically.

3) Remember that to the best of everyone's knowledge, airbenders were wiped out a century ago. It's not that Aang is OP (though he *is* a master airbender), so much as it is that no one knows how to fight or deal with them on account of they've been GONE for 100 years.

Yeessss! Such an amazing show!! I remember the first time I watched it, I was an adult, and some of the comedy definitely seemed aimed more at kids, but the more I watched, the more I fell in love with the show. Some of the comedy is childish...because the characters ARE children. But every character in the show has depth and good character arcs. As you said, even Zuko, you can't really hate him, he makes a compelling villain and the more you learn about him, the more interesting he becomes and the more you are invested in his story. I really hope you continue to post reactions to this show because while I have rewatched this show numerous times now, I can never see it again for the first time. So I love seeing people react and fall in love with this show!!
A few episode at a time seems great for this series, but I would suggest that each book finales are done separated. It just too good. Any likes so Welchy takes it into consideration?

I've just seen the title and oh BOY do i understand where you're coming from. When i started watching the show i'd heard all these things about it being perfect, the best show ever, etc. etc. and then when i watched it i was like... okay? It was _good_ , it just wasn't the absolute masterpiece that everyone hyped it up to be. I definitely think you'll enjoy later seasons though

People sleep with socks on because feet can be over sensitive to temperature changes. And it's very easy to toss and turn in your sleep, which could put you in a position where the blanket no longer covers your feet.
For me personally, in some cases, I don't need most of my body to have a blanket, but I always need something covering my feet be it a blanket or socks unless it's extremely hot.
