Cao Cao, great manipulator, he valued loyalty . He attempted to win Guan wan cheong over from Emperor Lau Bei. Three kingdoms are great novel . Thanks for the English presentation. Well done.
It was Cao Cao ahead of time vision. He marries his daughters to the emperor in view that after his death, The emperor could still live in peaceful life.
You have no idea how bad women had it back then. We are talking about the 2nd century here almost 1,800 years ago. All over the world at this time in history, women were not even seen as people or equal citizens but property of their husbands. If a man mistreats a women it was OK because they are his property. And if an army conquers a new city or village the women are part of the prize of the battle, which could be used by the conquering men as they see fit. You cannot use modern morals to judge people of history because it was a very different world back then. The concept that women are equals and has some kind of autonomy and "rights" is a very modern concept that only emerged a hundred years ago. Many would argue that equality between the sexes is still not fully realized even to this day. Human morality is extremely subjective and changes often, in one hundreds years who knows how future generations of humans will harshly judge us about our lack or morals regarding the treatment of other humans or even animals.
@ And we’re talking about China/Asia. Thanks to Christianity, women were treated better in European countries. While there’s still the gender pay gap and women do more household chores and child raising, they’re treated equally in pretty much every other way.
@@sandyberger-r9j I would disagree with you on that. The notion that Women in East Asia are treated worse than Western women in the modern world is just not accurate. Once women where recognized as equal citizens, Confucius cultures are unmatched at respecting women. If you've ever been to East Asia, Women are very safe, they can walk around alone at night without fear of being attacked or mugged. Many Asian countries have already had Women as presidents. And East Asian women are the highest educated women on the planet. China alone produces more female Billionaires than the rest of the world combined. This idea that Asian women are delicate flowers who are dominated by men is a very misleading stereotype. The proof is in the pudding. East Asian women have been highly educated and wealthy for many generations now, but there has never been any significant feminist movement in these countries (Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, etc). As an Asian man living in the West, it was a huge cultural shock for me when I saw just how angry Western women are at their men and really just how angry they are in general. It's not my place to judge, but IMO, the dynamics between men and women in the Western world is overwhelmingly negative these days, and it's reflected in their sky high divorce rates.
@@sandyberger-r9j Yes... without morality....not everything is by religion...Christian before is worst ...during the dark ages...that's like 500year yet you compare with Chinese 1800years ago...

Thank you, I have long admired Cao Cao for his political acumen.

I wonder how Cao Cao would handle Taiwan issue?
Cao Cao was a monster, the way he treated his wives and concubines.
